Symphony @ Whistler Village North February Stay

Aaron from Savage, United States
Date: Mar-02-2017 for a stay in Feb 2017

This was a great place to stay for a Whistler/Blackcomb ski get away! There was 4 of us staying at this location and we all thought it was fantastic! The location was very comfortable and close to the mountain with convenient means of traveling to and from the hill. Being close to the main part of Whistler was ideal for eating and good entertainment. This condo was a key part in making our experience at Whistler an awesome experience!

We had a great 4 nights here ! Love the location, very close to shopping and the village stroll but far enough away that you do not hear late night/after the bar noise. The unit was clean, comfortable and well equipped to cook in. So great that he permits pets ! Brad was very quick to communicate with and kind enough to accommodate an early check in. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this unit to friends and family.

This was our first time stay at Symphony and we loved it!! The place is spacious, clean, warm, has everything needed for the stay and it is close to everything - grocery store, liquor store, cafes, restaurants, fast foods... Free shuttle that brings you to gondolas is just across the street and it is very helpful in the morning when you need to go to the mountains with all the equipment. Village Center is literally few minutes walking distance so that is all that is needed for the evenings. Great job Brad, we will definitely come back.

I love the location of the Symphony complex. Quiet unit, especially with it being a town house, where the bedroom is upstairs, no noise from the neighbors. Nice shared hot tub steps away from the unit. This is my 2nd time at this unit and I will definitely be checking to see if this one is available again the next time I am in Whistler.

Nice vacation home

Michael from Olympia, United States
Date: Sep-05-2016 for a stay in Aug 2016

This is a really nice condo. It would be especially good in the winter. There are 2 decks but they aren't really usable for sitting outside. The upstairs deck is very narrow - just wide enough for a chair. It has a peek-a-boo view of a little bit of both mountains. The main floor deck is larger but surrounded by walls and feels a bit like being in a box. That wouldn't matter in the winter when no one wants to be out on a deck anyway.

Also, many have commented on the street noise. What they say is accurate. That also wouldn't matter in winter when the windows would be closed but in warm weather the windows really need to be open at night to let cool air in.

Immediately upon entering there is a very steep staircase of 16 steps to access the main floor. That might be disconcerting for families with young children unless a way could be found to block off the stairs from the living area.

Other than the above it's a great, very enjoyable place.

My wife and I rented this property for 6 weeks at the end of April to the end of May. This is the second time we have rented this unit. It is very convenient to the Village and Market across the street.

We had trouble with the washer, but that was replaced right away. My wife and I always slept really well in the king sized bed. The couch probably needs to be replaced, however this is a minor point.

For a two bedroom unit with this location we found this unit to be the best value which is why we rented here for the second time. When my 3 kids visited, having the third washroom was a plus. The pictures are an accurate representation of the unit.

Great place in a great location. You can park your car and walk to everything. Condo is very well looked after, kitchen appliances all looked new. Kitchen has everything you need. Hot tub is close to the condo and nobody seems to use it. We always had it all to ourselves. Hot tub tip, once you put the key in, the jets take a while, but they do come on.

If you are a light sleeper and sleep with the windows open, you do hear a lot of traffic noise. The condo faces the road. Overall, loved this condo! Can't wait to come back!

We have been back to this condo year after year due to location, price and pet friendliness. As always, we have been delighted with our stay. The condo is well maintained, w/ frequent upgrades (e.g., a new comfy king bed in master and sound/light dampening curtains on the master bay window). It is well appointed and cozy for cooking-in, sitting and binge-watching :-)

I have little doubt we will be back next year!

This property was convenient to walk to all places in Whislter. It had everything we need to make our stay pleasant. My only recommendation is to downsize the bulk of the furniture. The king size bed was nice, but it had sheets that was stained and it was tight to walk around it - this is the reason why I gave the rating of two star for the cleanliness. The twin beds in the second bedroom was nice, but the arrangement made it difficult to get into the bathroom.

Being able to bring our small dog was important - very convenient to take her outside and walk the nearby trails as well. Thanks Brad for opening your home to us!

Ecxellent stay in Whistler

Martina from Sedro Woolley, United States
Date: Dec-19-2015 for a stay in Dec 2015

This is a very comfortable, cozy town house with lots of storage and living space. We enjoyed the fireplace and big living room windows and watch the snow fall after hiking and skiing. The kitchen was a huge plus and is equipped with the basic kitchen supplies. Dishwasher, washer and dryer. The hot tub is only a few feet away from the townhouse. AIG grocery is one block across the street and it’s about a 5 minute walk to the Village. The walk to the gondola was about 10 minutes, a great warm up walk before skiing. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Lost Lake Cross Country Connection trials for cross country and snow shoe/ no dogs allowed on groomed trails. You can rent snow shoe and cross country equipment at the Passive house at Lost Lake. The Valley trail is basically right behind the property and an excellent starting point for hikes to Rainbow Park or the Meadow trail. Our dogs loved it. My recommendation is to check out the online map version of the valley trail system. Excellent stay at Symphony, we loved the location. Just park your car in the garage and forget about it for a few days.

We had a great stay in this unit! Came up for Tough Mudder with my dad so we wanted a place with two rooms. It was awesome that the bedrooms were upstairs and the kitchen/living room downstairs because he gets up a lot earlier than I do so I could sleep in later without noises.

The hot tub is also very close to the unit - a great little tub, especially after the Mudder race.

Would definitely recommend.

Symphony at Whistler

Susane from North Vancouver, Canada

There was a note on the microwave saying that it didn't work. Don't know how long it was there but a microwave these days is a must. We were asked to wash the towels before checking out which we did but there was not enough laundry detergent for the load. The coffee make kept leaking all over the counter and the lid wouldn't stay down. Could use a few more coffee mugs as we were 5 guests and there were only 4 mugs.

Both the leather sofas in the living area had good sized holes in them. Unless you're watching the TV from the kitchen table you are going to get a sore neck as it is just too high above the mantle.

The facilities are nice and we enjoyed the hot tub. As this unit is 20 years old it just needs some updating if the owner is so inclined. It was good value for the money, a great location, bathrooms are nice and it was awesome to have parking included.

Our stay here was fantastic. We stayed here before and it is close to everything! Brad was very accommodating with our check in time which we greatly appreciated. Kids love coming here as they have a nice room to share which has a nice view and it s own bathroom. Our daughter loves the window in the master bedroom as it has a window bench with comfy cushions that she loves to sit on and read or look at the view.

The booking is easy, the place is clean and cozy, and having three bathrooms is a bonus when trying to get teenagers ready to go out.

For cooking, if a cookie sheet was added for any items that you need to put in the oven would be great. Other than that everything is perfect and this is our favourite place to rent when we come to whistler. Thanks Brad for another wonderful stay!!

This is a fantastic townhouse located in a very convenient location. It is nearby the main Marketplace of the Village that contains a full serve IGA grocery store, TD Bank, McDonald's, Rexall Drugstore, BC Liquor Store and so on. There is a fabulous children's playground a minute away from the Marketplace as well. The townhouse is very well maintained. The pictures on here actually don't do it justice--it is nicer in person. The beds are very comfortable, and the 3 bathrooms were very convenient. The kitchen is a good size with fridge, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. It also has toaster and coffee maker. If you were to stay here longer (1 week+) or cook a holiday meal/more elaborate meal, you would probably need a few more pots/pans (sheet tray), knives etc... but for simple meal preparation it was more than adequate. The hot tub area was also very nice and clean. Only a handful of people were in there at any given time. We will definitely be repeat customers. The communication from the Owner was very effective and fast too. Thank you for this great stay!

The positives: Great location next to the village. The king sized bed was really comfortable. Its a good size so you don't feel cramped. The price was the most reasonable for the size and location of the unit. The bathrooms had clearly been updated. The pictures were a good representation of what the unit is like. Negative: The couches are well worn with no springs and even a hole on one cushion. It needs a new electric kettle. There is one very black kettle that you place on the stove. Except for minor points noted we enjoyed staying at this unit.

Service is superb A+. Love the location of the property as well as the unit itself. Everything is in walking distance, simply park the car and walk everywhere. We have stayed in many places over the years in Whistler, and this is our favourite!

Fantastic Family Stay

tripchick29 from Victoria, Canada

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this townhouse. We travelled with our 2 year old son and 2 dogs. This townhouse couldn't have been in a better location. It was kitty corner from the main Marketplace in Whistler Village that has a full service grocery store (IGA), BC LIquor Store, TD Bank, McDonald's, post office, drug store, and other types of shops/services. It is also very close to a fantastic children's playground, and of course the entrance to the beautiful Whistler Village stroll. We really had no complaints here at all. The beds were very comfortable and the 3 bathrooms were well stocked with towels. The washer and dryer were an awesome bonus! The kitchen (with heated floors) was great for us as our young child requires regular meal times/preparation. The only thing I might add is that if you are planning to cook a big holiday dinner, or do extensive cooking, you will probably want to bring along a few more items, such as a sheet tray, spices, condiments, perhaps your favourite knives/utensils, etc....However, for everyday cooking, everything was perfectly adequate. We will definitely be regular visitors here! Oh, I just wanted to add that this unit is pet friendly with the Valley Walking Trail going right by for easy dog walks. The owner of this unit was also extremely efficient and fast with his communication. I think you will be very pleased staying here.

Plenty of space and lots of room in this condo. Because of the stairs it was good to have a 3rd bathroom on the main floor. Although we ate out most of the time, the kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cutlery if you wanted to prepare meals. It was awesome being so close to the village and we got lots of exercise walking up and down numerous times to all our activities and to restaurants. It was also only 5 minutes away from the start of the Cross Country single track riding trails at Lost Lake. There was also a great Nature Trail 10 minutes away that we could take our golden retriever on for a good walk. We also went out to the Wildwood Bistro at the Racquet Club (across the street) every day for breakfast. (yummy and reasonably priced) Access to the gated parking was a bit of a hassle as one person had to jump on the cable, but we only took the car out once to drive to Pemberton. Everything went smoothly booking on-line and except for the batteries going dead on the keyless entry, everything went smoothly!

Thanks you Brad for letting us use your rental. We had a great time at your rental. The location was great. It was right across the street to the MarketPlace which is the entrance to the Whistler Village(shops, restaurants, and lifts). The rental place needs a little updating. The bedrooms seem small because of large furnitures. The reserved parking space was small also. However, I did like the layout of the rental(2 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms). If I plan to visit again, I would consider renting this condo. Thanks, The antias

Nice apartment to sleep 4 with ease, hot tub outside was great, although close to the road, only (slight) draw back. Location is a 2 minute walk to the local IGa and several shops and rental equipment and bus stop for lifts is across the road, althought the walk to the lift and the main village center is 10 minutes in shoes, 15 in ski boots. If your a family with a crawler or toddler you may want to bring a gate for the entrance steps, they lead off from the living space...Cot was provided which saved some packing!

Four of my friends and I stayed at the Symphony from March 23-25. We got a great deal! Also, the unit was very clean and had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The only negative was that the beds were a little uncomfortable. We woke up a bit soar...but going to bed at 4 am probably didn't help! :p Other than that Unit #10 was comfortable and relaxing. The shared hot tub was never too busy and provided us with some much needed relaxation mid-day. Check-in was a breeze and with 5 girls, having 3 bathrooms was great! Everything was in walking distance and we had tons of sun! The radiant heated tiles were also the perfect addition to this place. Great stay...will definitely recommend to friends and family.

This townhouse was great for me and my young son. We normally stay closer to the lifts, but found the free shuttle bus very convenient. The walk to the bus stop was a little further than I'd envisioned, but it really was not a huge deal. We enjoyed being not far from the IGa as well as Crepe Montagne - really enjoyed our fondue dinner and a second visit for a brunch crepe. Yum. I think 4 adults might feel a little pressed for space, but likely comfortable enough for close friends :) The layout was great - 2 ensuites plus an extra half bath on the lower floor. It was really lovely to be on the second and third levels. We could leave the blinds open and enjoy the incredible snow (we visited during the early March snow dump). Nice hottub easily accessible from the townhouse. Great to have space on the entry level for skis/boots. Some updates would be nice, but no dealbreakers. Overall, enjoyed our stay and expect we'll return!

Overall, the place was great. It is really well maintained, clean and comfortable. Excellent, convenient location in the heart of Whistler. We really liked the natural wood design and decor which made for a cozy retreat in the mountains. It would be helpful to clarify on the check in instructions how to access the unit as it was a bit confusing finding the stairs, unit etc at first. There were no ceiling lights in the bedrooms which was frustrating. I would recommend installing ceiling lights to upgrade the unit and experience. This was a return visit for us. We rented through allura, which is always convenient and offers clear directions and easy check-in. We came during some noisy and disruptive construction, but I imagine this couldn't have been anticipated when we reserved. When I noticed the lack of a coffeemaker, the owner quickly and politely provided one. The unit could have used a few more, and better quality, towels in the bathrooms.

Cozy & good value in the shoulder season

We found Symphony #10 to be a lovely 2-bedroom place in a mostly-quiet complex (it's near a main road, so some traffic noise is to be expected). With 4 adults, it felt a little cozy at times - at least we were all related :) Nice to have 2 bedrooms with en suites, you don't see that too often. We couldn't find a coffee maker in the kitchen, which was a bit of a bummer. All in all though, it was a great weekend and excellent value, particularly in the shoulder season. Thanks!

Symphony at Whistler is in a great location, minutes from anywhere. Brad's place was a pleasure to stay in and we are definitely considering going back again next year.

Very cozy home with all the amenities. Easy to reach the owner around details. Very clear instructions. Convenient access right near the Valley trail. Complex is well-maintained.

This place is perfect!

So perfect I considered not reviewing it for fear of it getting too popular next year. We are definitely coming back! It's a *short* walk from the village, nice and quiet at night, and has more amenities than you could ever need. The two rooms are spacious, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the communal hottub is only 12 steps from the front door. We had a great time with our two boys (3 yrs and 8 months).

Perfect for our needs.

Brad was very accommodating with regards to dates and our pet. He always answered our inquiries promptly. We had a visitor with us from England who enjoyed the Peak to Peak experience and walking by the river. We went to the Racquet Club for dinner but it wasn't that good - breakfast must be their specialty. The unit was very nice, albeit a bit noisy as it faces on the road. We were there on a weekend; it may be quieter during the week.

Great accommodation that allows pets

We had a great time and really appreciated the fact that it was dog friendly, while still being very tidy and well maintained and in a great location.

We found the place to be in a great location, close to all the places we wanted to visit. Because we are older, we found the stairs to be somewhat a problem. However, that really isn't your problem. We also found that a woman's touch with the cleaning would be helpful. It may be time that the bedding & accessories were changed. However, for the price we were happy with the accommodation & would probably rent that home again if it were available when we wanted it. Thank you for the experience. We love Whistler & plan to visit again this year.

Just what we wanted

Everything was as advertised. We liked having the bedrooms upstairs and the living/dining rooms and kitchen on the middle floor - it feels more homey. Also very nice that both bedrooms have ensuites. The kitchen was pretty well-stocked, and everything worked fine. The place is close to the road, but it's not busy at night so it didn't bother us at all. The hot tub in the complex is pretty big, and really close to the door of this unit. Having the Marketplace (groceries, liquor store, etc.) within a 2 minute walk is really very convenient. Same goes for the shuttle to the gondola. If you come very late in the spring, as we did, be sure to check the bus schedule online since the shuttle runs much less frequently than during the winter. All in all, no complaints. A great value.

Enjoyed are stay, accomadations were excellent, but lacked a few Kitchen items. No paper towels, no big bowls for salads, bathrooms had no shampoo. Place had the best bed we have ever slept on at Whistler. Many thanks for that!! Another plus was we could bring a our Dog!!

Excellent accommodations!

My husband and I spent a very enjoyable week at this condo. The condo was clean and spacious. The location was close to the main village area but quiet and the shuttle to the mountain was only a couple of minutes walk away. We would definitely stay again.

All the things you need for a fun family trip. 2 baths on different level than living/kitchen make you feel like you are not on top of each other all the time and kids can sleep while grown ups have apres apres. Close to hot tub.
