Property Description

Located on the second floor at the rear of The Raven, the condo opens to a well appointed kitchen and large lounge/dining area.  The master bedroom has access straight on to the deck with BBQ and private hot tub.  There is a second bedroom with a double lower bunk bed and a single upper bunk.  The bathroom with tub, shower and laundry equipment is located between the bedrooms.  The large sofa bed in the living room comfortably sleeps two.

Downstairs there is a common gym and pool (and that's actually below the condo : so there is literaly no noise to worry about from below).

We fell in love with Big White because of the great snow, variety of runs, the ability to ski black OR green down from the top of the mountain  meaning there is something for everyone in your family to enjoy, and most of all the great people at Big White.

The Ski School is one of the best in the world.   There is no standing around doing nothing at Ski School.  The kids are exhausted but exhilarated after their day and seeing them out on the slopes is a real buzz.  The educational environment is amazing.

At night there is so much to do with the kids and restaurants are extremely kid friendly.

However you can easily secure a baby sitter: and our experiences have been fantastic using the children’s centre staff and you can head out for an amazing night, wine tasting with a local winery who visits the mountain and so much more.

Location & Map


Located just up from Happy Valley, you have the best of both worlds in that you can in a good snow year ski down to Ridge Rocket to start your day, and come home from the village by skiing down Happy Valley Way - and ski straight to the back door of The Raven.  If you are tuckered out, take Lara's Gondola to Happy Valley and enjoy a steak, a drink, a hot chocolate and stay for the fireworks or ice skating.  From there you can access the snow mobiles, sled and sleigh rides and of course climb the ice tower!

Ski-in, Ski-out - There is direct Ski-in access to The Raven and Ski-out simply requires a short across the road, or walk downhill to the Gondola depending on snow coverage. On a good day you can put your skis on as soon as you have left The Raven entrance and crossed over the road.

Excessive Cleaning Costs Standard departure cleaning is complimentary. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund. Please be considerate toward your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure. Waste disposal & Recycling containers are located on site in the parking garage.

The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11.00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11.00pm out of respect for neighbouring guests.

Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incured by tenants or guests & authorizes up to a $1,000.00 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. Precautions if your Driving To Big White.

Gas Fill your gas tank and the windshield wiper fluid in town. There is no gas station or car wash at Big White!!
Tires Good winter tires or chains are mandatory on BC highways. Weather and road conditions can change quickly in the mountains. Please travel with care.

About Us

We fell in love with Big White, the people, the Ski School and eveything that makes Big White "the snow"!  We are a couple with two ski crazy children and this is our home away from home.

We want to share it with families like us.  When we looked at first renting at Big White certain things were important: access to the Ski School, a private hot tub, great bedrooms, clean and spacious bathroom and a relaxing living area PLUS access to lifts and entertainment.

This property has all of that and more.

We stayed in Raven this past weekend and we loved it. The condo was bigger than it appeared in the pictures and we had lots of room for everyone. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck as well as the pool in the basement. The floors were heated so no slippers we needed and the fireplace was very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked (even had a blender and hand mixer) and had lots of dishes. The ski in was very convenient, just a ski down a cat track off of the gondola run. The ski out was a bit of a slog with 2 kids, but with our toboggan we managed just fine. Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again. Thanks again.

Big White Vacation

One important safety issue: the bathroom door locks from the inside and there is no way to open it from the outside. We had a situation where we accidentally got locked out of the washroom (with nobody inside) and we couldn't get in. The emergency service number we were provided was not helpful. This could be a very serious safety concern; for instance, if someone is locked inside an unable to reach the door, there should be a way of opening it from the outside. All the other doors in the suite had a hole that you could insert something sharp into to unlock it from the other side.

Beautiful condo! Beautifully decorated and so well maintained. In the back corner of the Raven so was really private and quiet. Worked well for our family of 4. The kitchen was wonderful and probably the best stocked kitchen we've ever been to - had every type of pan, utensil, etc that one could need. We ended up making a lot of breakfasts and dinners in the condo so very thankful for such a fantastic kitchen and a nice big table to eat at.

One really small note - the hanging light in the 'dining' area was in an odd location. Seems like it should have been hanging over the dining room table but instead it was kind of in the middle of the room. So everyone had to make a really concentrated effort not to run into it and bang our heads. We're not really tall, I'm only 5'7" and could easily hit my head on it so not sure if the light could be raised up?

The hot tub out on the deck was extremely nice and private and great for relaxing in after a long day out. Really liked how you could access it both from the main living room as well as from the master bedroom. Although do have to mention, it was a little bit disconcerting having the hot tub maintenance guy coming into the condo every other day to check the levels, even though we knew about this from the instructions left for us. We totally understand the need for this as there is no other way to reach the hot tub and it's important maintenance, but still, it was a bit unnerving when we were having a late, relaxing morning and a stranger knocks on the door and needs in. Just would have been nice to have known the exact or at least a general time and day that they would be coming so that they didn't disturb the kids who were trying to sleep in after a long day before.

The living room was also very comfortable with a large t.v. and even video games for the kids. The 2nd bedroom has a really nice big bunk bed in it which also works perfectly for the kids. Ideally, though, would have liked to have a small t.v. in the master bedroom since the kids took over the t.v in the living room in the evenings and that was the only t.v.. Not a big deal, just would have been a nice extra amenity. The bathroom had a nice washer and dryer in it which came in handy!

Condo was in a real nice location, especially since we spent a lot of time down at Happy Valley. Also could ski/snowboard right to the back of the condo when we were up on the slopes. Garage was so nice for the car since temperatures really dropped and didn't have to worry about the car freezing up. And the ski lockers in the garage were very convenient as well.

Finally, the Owners/vacation service of this unit were terrific. All the instructions and communications were outstanding and made our stay truly easy and a place we'll look forward to coming back to. Highly recommend!

We've had a wonderful Christmas time at this location. The suite was warm and cozy with beautiful view and had absolutely everything you would possible need in it. The manager was incredibly helpful and we've received prompted responses and help with all our requests.
