Our Go To Holiday Home
Darlene from Sammamish, United States

We have stayed at Casa Cabernet for the Christmas Holiday for the past 5 years. Lise keeps her home impeccably well stocked. We host up to 20 people for Christmas dinner and never have to worry about whether we have enough plates or glasses for everyone. Cooking a turkey, there's a roasting pan. Making latkes, there's a shredder. Need a drink - tons of wine glasses. The owner makes this feel like our home every year and even leaves us holiday baking!!! Better than any hotel we've ever stayed in, this place is really a home away from home where we can relax and enjoy our friends and family.View Full Review

Casa Cabernet is the most professionally and thoughtfully maintained, furnished and equipped home I have ever had the pleasure of renting. It is ideal for us -- three couples who are all avid wine lovers and foodies -- to share a fun weekend in the stunningly beautiful Okanagan wine country.
The kitchen is phenomenal and has anything you could wish for. The view is lovely and the location is central, perfect for days spent going to wine tastings and the Penticton Farmers' Market.View Full Review

Casa Cabernet was an awesome getaway home for our 3 couple group doing some winery visits and general visiting in the Okanagan. Perfect location for access to Penticton, Summerland, Oliver and Osoyoos. The neighbourhood is lovely with many paths and trails for walking, as well as friendly neighbours and lots of deer as well!
Beautiful, welcoming, spotless and comfortable home with high end furnishings, plenty of space and amazing amenities. The kitchen is any cook's dream come true with anything you could want / need / ask for - tools, stemware, dishes, etc all AMAZING. We had zero issues throughout our stay and everything was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Thank you!View Full Review

From the very beginning, we knew this would be a wonderful "home away from home" Communication with the owners was timely and very professional yet friendly. We met Annette on the first day and our reception could not have been more friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the attention to detail was always evident. One could certainly tell that there was a strong pride of ownership and all the amenities were top notch.
Would highly recommend this property for three couples of a family looking for a first class experience in a beautiful setting.View Full Review

Fantastic deluxe hillside home
Sharon from North Vancouver, Canada
Date: Jun-14-2016 for a stay in Jun 2016
Casa Cabernet exceeded our expectations. We were 3 couples who had lots of space for comfort and privacy between outside patio, main living room, downstairs tv area, large open kitchen, 3 separate bedrooms & bathrooms etc. Top-notch furnishings and gas appliances, beautiful decor, uber-comfortable beds and choice of pillows, Aveda in bathrooms, quality linens, gourmet kitchen with absolutely everything we needed to prepare, grill, and serve meals over 4 days.
Detailed notes and instructions for everything. We felt very much at home. Very thoughtful welcoming gift of note and bottle of wine was waiting for us on arrival. Outside patio was small, but roomy enough for table and six chairs to enjoy morning coffee and glass of wine with sunsets overlooking Lake Skaha.
Excellent location for exploring local wineries and quiet, up the hillside, away from town and traffic. All communication was prompt and very professional. Highly recommended, and yes, we'd definitely return to Casa Cabernet!View Full Review

The house was an amazing find! It was so nice to walk in and feel at home almost immediately. There is nothing you need for or want as it is all there! I even packed a few things to bring and then found they were already there. You do not need for anything, except your groceries while there. We went with another couple and it was comparable to us staying in a hotel with the cost, and I was grateful we had the kitchen as we cooked most of our meals at the house, which we could not have done in a hotel. It would be an amazing place to stay as a family, or even a group of women having a weekend away. I loved that there were binders with all the information you needed including garbage days, how to run the tv, etc. It really is a five star place all around and I would recommend and may even be back again! Thank you :)View Full Review

We were a group of three couples who were there to explore the Okanagan wine country. The home was very comfortable, modern, clean and well appointed.
The kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly want and then some. I loved the large open kitchen/living room space which accommodated the six of us very comfortably. The deck was great with lovely views of Skaha Lake. The internet connection worked well.
I recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay here again.View Full Review
Casa Cabernet - A delightful weekend with friends
Ryan from Calgary, Canada
Date: Sep-16-2015 for a stay in Sep 2015
The Casa Cabernet was absolutely beautiful and extremely well suited for 3 couples travelling together. The owners thought of EVERYTHING that a renter could reasonably need from hair dryers in each of the bathrooms to spices in the kitchen. The home was extremely clean. The instruction manual for the home and the guidebook the owner had created for the surrounding area was everything that was needed to quickly and easily enjoy all that the house and region had to offer.
The views of Skaha Lake from the patio/deck were a perfect setting for our outdoor breakfasts and dinners. While a car was required to get to all outside amenities, this location was quiet and felt very safe as a residential neighborhood. The views and sun that the hillside location afforded more than offset any drawbacks from having to drive into town.
We will and have recommended this location...but not to too many people as we want to stay here again soon!!View Full Review

As others have said, the kitchen has everything you'd possibly ever need! I really appreciated the full bottles of Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner! That was a treat! Just about every couch and chair reclines.
After completing the Penticton Challenge (half course as a family relay team) these chairs were perfect! I bought the last six bottles of Serendipity's, "Red Handed" wine and came home with several others from an assortment of wineries. There were too many to visit! Thank you. We were a relaxed and happy bunch!View Full Review

What a great find! I had a great week at Casa Cabernet last week with my wife, 2 kids and mother in law; the house was plenty big enough for all of us. When they say the gourmet kitchen is fully stocked, they're not kidding; it's amazing and everything in the house of top of the range. The location was just right for us; handy for exploring the valley and a great view down to the lake from the patio. Highly recommended and I hope to be back

The most convenient location in the Okanagan...

Over the past few years we have been booking vacation time in various Winery Guest Houses, which has contributed to our thorough enjoyment of our Okanagan vacations. This year I was a little tardy in making our reservations at a Winery with a Guest House option, consequently all those of interest had already been booked. Lucky for us we found Casa Cabernet! The online description and pictures of the property are all accurate and will be appreciated even more once you arrive. I felt like a Booking Hero as I toured the house with my wife... she loved it and we definitely recommend it to anyone and will be booking again.
The booking process is really convenient, and Lise is quick to reply to any questions that you might have. Excellent customer service for sure.
I don't think you will find a more equipped kitchen anywhere, whether it be the numerous small appliances or the many many utensils, the attention to detail is amazing. Many of the pots and pans are of very high quality which keeps cooking enjoyable. All of the furnishings are nearly new, and very comfortable. Not only a nice sized TV (which we really didn't watch) but a nice sound system with dozens of CDs for your enjoyment or just tune into the Cable music stations, this was one of the great features of this property among many - many more.
One thing that has to be there for us to rebook are comfortable beds, while the beds are firm they did meet our needs. Though, I might suggest offering additional pillow options, as in firmer. But that was a minor detail in our stay.
I might also suggest that travelers be mindful of the cancellation policy, we booked 9 nights and ended up having our trip interrupted by a family emergency back home, unfortunately we had to cut out early.
Definitely enjoyed the house, all of the wonderful amenities, the area, and the location – it really couldn't be more convenient.

Awesome stay at Casa Cabernet

Absolutely recommended. We tried to name a kitchen utensil or gadget that this house did not have and we failed. Very well stocked house and one of the most wonderful vacation homes we ever rented. There is neighbourhood deer and 2 fawns that came visit regularly and even checked out our bocce ball game. Everything in the home was in top shape and location was perfect, just south of Penticton and Naramata and just north of Oliver wine country. We even hiked to the Blasted Church winery (highly recommended). Candlelight dinners on the deck watching the sunset were magical.View Full Review
Casa Cabernet - a delightful weekend with friends!
grolar from Alberta, Canada
We will and have recommended this location...but not to too many people as we want to stay here again soon!!
Very Convenient Location - Excellent Property

This year I was a little tardy in making our reservations at a Winery with a Guest House option, consequently all those of interest had already been booked. Lucky for us we found Casa Cabernet! The attention to detail is amazing… The house is spotless – very well kept and the yard too. We could not have picked better, possibly the best location for a Rental Home in all of the Okanagan. You are just a few minutes from Penticton and the wonderful beaches of Lake Skaha, minutes from OK Falls, Minutes from a U-Pick Cherry Orchard, plus the Blasted Church Winery is within walking distance. Plus - there are several other excellent wineries close by, don’t miss Pentage, Painted Rock, or Liquidity to name a few. The Naramata Bench is 15 minutes to the north, and Oliver is 20 or so minutes to the South. The online description and pictures of the property are all accurate and will be appreciated even more once you arrive. What’s not to like? This property has it all, 3 good sized bedrooms, well appointed bathrooms, a Kitchen with every appliance you need to prepare a meal or enjoy a cup of coffee, and the owners have stocked this with every kitchen utensil made, I don't think you will find a more equipped kitchen anywhere. Plus the kitchen comes stocked with basic groceries, dried goods, spices jams, condiments etc. If you plan to cook a few meals you will be impressed, as many of the pots and pans are of high quality which keeps cooking enjoyable. All of the furnishings are nearly new, and very comfortable. Not only a nice sized TV (which we really didn't watch) but a nice sound system with dozens of CDs for your enjoyment or just tune into the Cable music stations, this was one of the great features of this property among many - many more. Plus there is everything you need to enjoy an evening cook-out includes a BBQ and lots of seating. The patio/deck comes with a decent view of Skaha Lake, enjoy the sunsets. Thank you for the review and we have taken your suggestion of adding firmer pillows to heart. Guests now have a variety of thickness to choose from (soft, medium and firm) for their sleeping preference. Once again, thank you for the suggestion, and looking forward to having you as a guest again.

The Casa Cabernet is a wonderful house and a fantastic place to stay. We were a group of four - semi-retired parents with two adult children - who enjoyed a relaxing time at the Casa Cabernet. The attention to detail is second to none. The best part of our stay? - eating dinner on the deck one evening with deer grazing within two metres of us, and eating breakfast there in the company of a humming bird. Thank you Lise and Annette for making our stay so good.
