Our Two Bedroom Two Bathrrom 1000 sqft vacation suite is in a luxury chalet located in Fernie’s exclusive Alpine Trails Community. The location offers convenience and outdoor activities in a very tranquil setting. This private suite is close to all conveniences such as groceries,restaurants, beer and wine shop just a few miutes away. The Historic Downtown Fernie is only a 5 minute drive away, and Fernie Alpine resort is less than 10 minutes by car (7km).
The completely self-contained suite is a ground leve walk out with plenty of windows, a covered concrete patio, and looks out onto green space and mountains. It was designed specifically for vacation use, and is decorated with a mix of mountain contemporary and antique furnishings. It is well set up for extended stays, with a fully equiped kitchen , front-load HE washer/dryer, radiant heated floors, and plenty of storage.
A private out door hot tub with mountain and creek views is a relaxing way to end the day's activities!
The layout is ideal for families or to be shared by 2-4 adults. We welcome those seeking family fun, out door sports, and quiet enjoyment, but if partyin is what you hvae in mind please find another place to stay.
Mountain Biking, Hiking, and Snowshoe trails start right at your door! Awesome Fly Fishing on the Elk River is within steps of this property. Upon your return, simply park your gear on the patio and relax in this peaceful and private mountain view setting.

The living and kitchen area is open plan, with windows facing the creek and mountains, a french door leads directly to the patio.
The well equipped kitchen is bright and modern, with stainless steel appliances, and garburator. There is plenty of counter and cupboard space, making meal planning and preparation a pleasure. Basic spices, olive oil, paper towel, coffee, and Nespresso maker are included.
The entry hall has a built-in shelf and coat rack to store your gear, and I bench to rest on while you peel off your boots!
The hallway is spacious for storing gear and we've installed extra hooks for drying clothes.
The twin/king room has a french door leading directly to the covered patio. It is separated from the rest of the suite by the lock-off hallway. You can reserve it as a either a twin room or king room. This photo shows the twin set up. The twin matresses are brand new hotel quality pillow tops.

The ensuite bathroom has radiant heat slate floors, and walk-in shower.
The bathrooms feature custom made vanities, grohe fixtures, and plush towels.
The Queen Room has a brand new hotel quality pillow top matress and custom beddings. The headboard is made from reclaimed wood and old porch posts.
We built our home on Canyon Trail in 2008 with the plans of incorporating a guest suite into the design. We take pride in offering a high quality property for our guests, and love to see other people enjoying Fernie as much as we do!
The queen room also has an antique dresser with mirror. A large window looks onto the creek area.
The main bathroom is directly beside the Queen room. It has a custom vanity, grohe fixtures, soaker tub/shower, and a front load stacker high-e washer dryer.
All windows and doors look out to the patio,yard and creek area. No other homes are visible from the windows so except for the grassy lawn it feels like you are in a cabin in the woods! The white noise of the creek helps create a real feeling of tranquility. The patio is a great place to sit for coffee on sunny mornings, and a great refuge from the hot afternoon sun.
Soaking in the hot tub and listening to the creek is the best way to wrap up the day's activities!
Top of Mt. Fernie. The Mt. Fernie trail head is located approx. 200 yards away, from there you can hike to the summit of Mt. Fernie, or all the way to Island Lake Lodge.

- The suite has two reserved parking spots. The parking is directly beside a covered staircase that leads to the patio level and entrance.The entry doors are sheltered by a 350sqft covered patio, The guest suite is a walkout style on a sloped property, with level back yard, and there is a wilderness creek setting about 70ft from the door. The yard is landscaped and features a fire-pit area and hot tub.
The large entry hallway provides plenty of space to store gear with coat hooks, built-in bench and shelf, as well as boot trays. All the floors are slate and laminate with in floor radiant heat.
The twin/king bedroom and ensuite bath are on one side of the suite, with a lock-off hall way providing privacy from the rest of the suite if desired. The suite is well suited to families or to be shared by two couples.
The main living/kitchen area has wood laminate floors with radiant heat and a french door leading directly to the patio. Windows face the woods, creek and mountains.
The open floor plan of the main living area includes a dining table, leather love seat and arm chair, and fully equiped kitchen.
At the far end of the main living area there is a linen closet, main bathroom, and Queen Room. There is also a full size stacker front load HE washer dryer located in the main bathroom.
The Queen room has burber carpet with radiant heated floor, a large closet, and a large window facing the creek.

Alpine Trails Community is located in the municipality of Fernie BC. It is a quiet Alpine community located a few minutes drive from downtown, and less than 10 minutes from the ski hill. Many conveniences such as a cold beer and wine store, extra foods grocery store, Canadian Tire and several resturaunts, are located within 10-15 minutes walking distance along foot trails that are maintained throughout the winter. Many of Fernie's best known trails for mountain biking, hiking, and snowshoeing, start within two hundred meters of this locaiton.

This is a hidden little gem. Perfect for a small family. Got everything you need in a beautiful peaceful surroundings. We had a couple of minor issues, but Paul was awesome and sorted them out immediately. Newly and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We will be back! I assume that 5 star rating is the highest. I cannot think of a single "down side" to staying at this property. We met both of the owners, they were very helpful. The cleanliness was outstanding. The amenities and supplies in the rental suite were numerous and extensive. We loved our visit. I brought 2 teenage boys and the space was perfect with 2 twin beds and private bathroom.
Highly recommend this property. We very much hope to return in the future. Fernie is a great place to downhill and x country ski. The local aquatic centre has a lovely pool and waterslide. Many thanks to the owners.View Full Review

Great option for anyone looking to enjoy the benefits of a suite in a quiet part of Fernie. Ideal for pet owners who don't want to leave their dog or cat behind. Property at the end of a road with a closed service road yards away which leads into a valley for walking one's dog or enjoying a stroll. Property and suite are well kept and stylish in design.
Only item of note, kitchen lacks abundant counter space for those who plan on cooking large meals - maybe the installation of a small island could help on this front. All the same a fine well stock kitchen with commonly used appliances, dishes, pot and pans etc.... Good, reliable appliances etc... Minutes away from downtown Fernie

We were incredibly impressed with our Labour Day weekend in this beautiful suite. It has everything we value in a vacation property, plus more! It is clean, quiet, pet friendly and private. The configuration of the bedrooms is great - mom and dad had their own space while our boys had their own bed to sleep in. The kitchen is nicely stocked, with little extras like fancy coffee machines! The hot tub, firepit, and outdoor deck area was also very enjoyable. Paul and Marie are incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Best of all, the location is spectacular. Stunning mountain views and a peaceful little creek await every time to step out the door. Skiing Fernie is amazing. Friends who have mountain bike here in the summer, have said the trails are great. There is snow-shoeing right behind the house. Paul and Marie-Pierre are great hosts. They were very responsive to our every need. Fernie skiing is a short ten minute drive, and the town is less than 2 minutes away. The accommodations are very comfortable and the quality is many levels above a condo or hotel room. The water in the hot tub was always clean and hot tub does wonders for old bones after a hard day of powder skiing.. The Wi-Fi was always connected and fast. My wife and I have travel many places in the world, but the 6 weeks in Fernie as guests of Paul and Marie-Pierre were really special. So much so, that we have just booked another 6 weeks this winter.
Beautiful and quiet with lovely attention to detail.
This is a two bedroom basement annex with seperate access in a secluded rural setting. We stayed for 6 nights. The place is clean and really well appointed. It feels really high class and the owners go a long way to make your stay very special with lots of little additions and thoughts adding to your comfort. We spent the week skiing and the drive is about 10 minutes, parking is v easy at the ski hill. We hardly saw the owners who live above but they were very friendly when we did. The hot tub is a great addition, sitting in the warmth under the stars with only the sound of the nearby creek was my favourite place to be after a hard days skiing. Highly recommended.

I NEVER stay at the same place twice, but this property will be the first exception. It was perfect for us, we did not have time to use the hot tub or the firepit, so next time we will make the time. Value for cost was excellent. Does not compare with a hotel for privacy, quality, & space. This property is only about a 2 min drive to downtown Fernie.

Amazing stay in Fernie
We stayed here for three days with three kids (1,3 and 6). The suite is the entire ground floor of an amazing house. very private, mountain creek in the back yard and your own hot tub, BBQ and croquet set :D. Also has two large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. amazing mountain views in the backyard. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating to both kids and dogs. Incredible experience overall.

We stayed here for 10 days this past winter, and it was absolute perfection! Amazing location situated in a peaceful and scenic Canyon, next to a lovely stream, spacious, well laid out, safe and private, and only minutes from the hip town of Fernie and the amazing ski hill. My wife and I and 2 young sons were unbelievably comfortable in this high-end 2 bedroom guest suite - with every imaginable convenience (high end finishes, N'Espresso Machine, Washer/Dryer, heat traced floors, free internet, private outdoor hot-tub under the stars, etc). The owners are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We have been coming to Fernie for 10 years and this is easily the best place to stay. We are going back this summer too - as the same suite is perfect for the river, playing outside, fishing, golf, mountain biking and relaxing. What a peaceful and natural place to call home. Bravo!
Quiet + everything you need

My husband and I were in town for a golf getaway. Loved the peaceful location in an area 5 minutes to town centre. It's a complete downstairs suite but it's a walkout so you've got full windows, tons of light and your own private entrance. Plus we couldn't hear anything upstairs. Outside we had our own private patio which just faces into the woods with a creek some ways away but within earshot. Very peaceful. This is a full suite - including your own kitchen and washer/dryer. Everything is new and the furniture and wood decor is very lovely. This would easily accommodate a family of 4 but for just the 2 of us we liked having our own bathrooms (there are 2). Also, arrangements with the owner were very easy and professional.
