This unit at The Aspens lived up to our expectations in every way. The unit itself was clean, tidy and had more than enough space for two people. The kitchen was equipped with every implement and utensil you could possibly need. The appliances are modern, high quality brands that are easy to use. The king size bed is very comfortable and the bathroom was clean, modern and spacious enough (nice big shower head too). The unit contains two large flat screen TVs (one Sony, one Samsung) with all the channels you need. The Aspens itself has the best ski-in/ski-out location in Whistler Blackcomb. This is our second trip to Whistler so we were able to verify this. The Blackcomb base is also a much quieter location for those trying to avoid the mad rush at Whistler base at the start or end of the day. The Aspens is a very pleasant 15 minute stroll to all the restaurants and shopping at Whistler village. Blackcomb base does have a few restaurants and a village grocery store for when your legs aren't up to a trip to the Whistler Village. In summary, the Aspens is a great lodge in a great location and this unit is perfect for couples who prefer to prepare some meals at home. Kerry was very responsive to our requests and extremely helpful on all matters. Highly recommended.View Full Review

Unit 2** was perfect for our summer holiday in Whistler! Kerry was a big help at having everything set up for us and making sure it went smoothly. The room was nice and cosy and in a perfect location. The air conditioning worked perfectly which was a big bonus compared to previous places we've stayed! And it was a nice surprise to find 2 fold out sofa beds so each of us had a separate bed to sleep on and be comfortable.
Will definitely try to secure this room again next holiday in Whistler! Thanks for everything Kerry!View Full Review

This unit was a perfect spot for our visit to Whistler and we would totally book it again. The kitchen is well equipped and includes upscale dishes. Every detail about the condo is outlined in a binder upon your arrival and provides everything from how to use the TV, obtain internet, hot tub hours etc. We were really impressed with our experience.View Full Review
Cozy & Comfortable at The Aspens

I very much enjoyed staying in you condo during my ski week at Whistler. It is nicely decorated, furnished and conveniently located. I would definitely return!
My only recommendation, which is a suggestion to the management of the complex, is to consider building a better pathway to walk down to the Chateau Whistler (along the grass next to the ski slope and adjacent to The Aspens). It appears many people use this shortcut rather than walk down Spearhead Drive to access the "official" walking trail there.View Full Review

This was perfect for us and it's hard to beat ski-in, ski-out. The condo was outfitted very nicely and everything worked. The Aspens staff were overwhelmed at times and waits for check-in, towels, etc were ~10 minutes. The ski valet was similarly a bit of a wait, but everything else? Fantastic! Parking is fine ($17/night). The directions on how to access the unit, the Internet, etc were clear and straightforward.View Full Review

My husband and I stayed 13 nights in August we found the condo to be really comfortable and had everything we needed. The air conditioning in the bedroom was really handy on warm evenings a cooled the whole condo down. Our daughter stayed over a couple of nights and found the sofa bed to be extremely comfortable with its blow up mattress which is a nice change.
We would defiantly book this condo again Aspens is in a great location especially in the winter when it is ski in ski out.View Full Review

It is very easy to write an excellent review for this apartment and for its owner/manager, Kerry Wallace. We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas 2014, and would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone else, and we would certainly consider staying here again. The description of the apartment, in words and photos, is accurate. The apartment was very comfortable and comfortably sufficient for a couple and a small child. Kerry was at all times extremely responsive, and went above and beyond in terms of providing useful information. The apartment location, within a larger complex with many facilities, and directly off a main piste, is excellent.View Full Review
Terrific Value for Money
TourismRetiree from Victoria
As other reviewers have stated, this unit is really good value for money. It is really clean, well stocked, quiet picturesque view and comfortable bed. There are a couple of negatives worth mentioning but none of these would prevent me from booking here again. First, lots of construction going on at The Aspens, which meant loud noise, dust and lots of commotion. It would be worth checking with owner/property manager prior to booking to ask if construction has been completed before booking. Also, the air conditioning unit worked really well but was very noisy (and positioned next to bed) so we couldn't use it during the hot nights we were there. Finally, The Aspens is a VERY busy, FAMILY property. Expect swarms of kids in the pool and hot tubs, so if you are looking for a quiet pool experience, you won't get it here. Despite all this, the unit was very pleasant, comfortable and affordable.
Nice apartment, great value, great building, good location
barryb202 from Portland
The Aspens is an awesome building - very helpful & accommodating front desk staff 24 hours/day, with direct access to the base of Blackcomb from the back of the pool area. The unit is really nice, very well maintained. Owner is terrific & quick to make arrangements with.
Exactly as advertised
Terry P from Bowen Island, Canada
The unit was very clean and kitchen well equipped with good knives and cookware. Master bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed. Having a TV in the bedroom, another in the living room and WI-FI kept the kids happy. Due to poor snow conditions it was a bit of a trick to ski back to the condo - involved a bit of walking. (Still OK to ski-out to Wizardchair in the morning. Although the bottom third of the mountain was largely bare, there was still good skiing at the top of Blackcomb (Horstman Glacier and 7th Heaven). Recommend downloading on Excalibur Gondola at the end of the day.
Very comfortable apartment in excellent location with great facilities
James S from Houston, Texas
I can with no hesitation recommend this apartment highly. We were a couple with a toddler, and it was extremely comfortable for us. The accommodation and amenities in the apartment, as well as in the larger facility, were just as described, and the instructions with regard to directions and access to the apartment were faultless. The location of the accommodation is excellent, directly on the piste of one of the main pistes at the base of Blackcomb mountain, while access to Whistler mountain is easy via bus, car or foot. Whistler is a sizable ski town, but the heart of it consists of a long pedestrianized "stroll" which is perfect for all ages, but was particularly relaxing with a sub-3 year old in tow.
An aspens treat without the 'Elevator' wait...
A FlipKey verified reviewer from North Vancouver
This unit: Unusual to find TVs in both the 'lounge' and bedroom. Handy if you put your kids to sleep on the sofa bed and retire to the adult room. Had everything we needed...perhaps could benefit from some 'smaller' pans? Kids loved the inflatable mattress - but if you want to put the bed up and down each night - you might get a bit impatient. You're only one floor above ground level - which means you don't have to hang around for the elevator...but you'll still be waiting a bit at check out time with a trolley. The aspens: If you've never stayed at the aspens - it's a total treat for ski in and out. Swimming pool is a little chilly, but plenty big for kids. The 2 hot tubs by the gym get V busy at the weekend - but are nice and calm during the week. The third hot tub by the gym has been Out of action for most, if not all of this season. Not sure if the strata have plans to fix it. Ski valet are prompt and polite. Dont forget to tip them!
Comfortable, cosy and quiet, ski in/out apartment - a jewel of a
Handsome_pants from Port Talbot, United Kingdom
This is our third trip to Whistler from the UK. We decided to book everything ourself this time, instead of going through a package operator. Having just returned from spending 10 nights in this wonderful apartment, we were so glad we did as we couldn't fault the value for money. This is a spacious and very cosy apartment. Kerry has provided everything to make this a real home from home holiday rental. It was lovely having full kitchen facilities and we made good use having lovely meals most evenings after returning tired from a day on the slopes. The apartment overlooks the pine trees, which meant we weren't disturbed by noise from the slopes or the hot tubs (don't forget your swimming costumes for a truly wonderful experience). The aspens offered free ski valet which was great. The ski in / ski out was brilliant, just a few steps from the slopes. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone, and will definitely return here when we next visit Whistler !!
Great Condo at a Great Location in Whistler!
ptadin from Austin, Texas
We had a nice stay in this beautiful clean condo and everything it advertises is correct. The beds were comfy, the linens clean, and the fully-equiped kitchen was in order. The large flat-panel TV and DVD player were easy to operate. The condo view faces tall pines for privacy and quietness away from the noise of the courtyard. I would not hestitate to stay here again.
Tim from Australia
What can I say about this gem of a place: checkin was smooth, the photos of the place were accurate, the rental rate was a steel, the king size bed was te best we have slept on in our 6 months travelling, the sofa bed was the most comfiest sofa bed I have ever slept on, we cooked every night for 5 nights as we had been travelling for 6 months and missed home cooked meals and found it to have everything you could possibly want in a kitchen, we watched a couple of movies on the massive TV whilst snugged up to the fire place. Overall awesome experience and would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Kerry for your hospitality and checking up on us to make sure everything was OK.

A frequent Whistler visitor from Wa
As a frequent visitor to Whistler I have stayed at several different properties, always looking for the best deal. The aspens and this particular condo did not disappoint. We enjoyed being on the quiet side (away from the pool). The unit had everything we needed, it was very clean and in good shape.
Peaceful setting - great condo
Barry & Teresa from Ontario
We found the condo to have everything we needed for our 7 day stay. All of the details prior to arrival were appreciated and the location is perfect. We have stayed in a number of rentals in Whistler over the last 5 years. I would book this condo again without hesitation. It is a beautiful and short walk into Whistler Village and much quieter when you want to get away. This condo was accurately depicted in the photos and the bbq on the deck was perfect. Kerry called the minute we walked in the door to welcome us and offer any assistance needed.
enjoyed the aspens

We just spent 4day. We felt the apartment we stayed in was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Our room looked out on the slops. We had a short walk down to the upper village. The only draw back for me was the lounge chairs around the pool were hard and nosy comfortable. They have a great pool area so that made up for it all. We would stay here again and look forward to the ski in ski out feature
Lots of little extras-barbecue , nice dishes!!! etc.

It was all you could hope for a short ski vacation!
Great Condo from B.C.
Our booking went extremely well from the moment we went on line to book. Everything was well taken care of. The booking, the payment, the condo...exceptionally clean and well furnished. The directions of how to get to the condo and the last minute e mails ensuring that we had the proper lock box # and the combination number so that we could enter when we arrived without having to call anyone...but just in case that we did forget the instructions, all was covered in a last minute e mail telling us to ensure that we keep these numbers on us at all time. The first night upon our arrival we even received a phone call from Kerry asking us if everything was alright and if we needed anything...we have never had this kind of treatment with our other bookings. The whole experience was wonderful and very pleasant and we certainly would not hesitate to rent this condo again. Extremely satisfied ...Alan & Lois Pickard
Felt like home- quiet and comfortable.

It was a very comfortable stay and the owner Kerry Wallace make things go smoothly with her organization and quick response to our questions. She even called in the day after we arrived to make sure everything was okay. We really enjoyed our stay. PROS: *Very close to upper village, yes it is a ski-in/out. There is a ski-rental shop in the building (Summit-they will tune your skis, ect). However, there is also an actual WhistlerBlackcomb rental/ski school and guest relations right at the bottom of the "hill" which is a short walk down the ski hill. *There are 2 restaurants within that short walk as well and several shops. *The condo is well equipped with towels, hand soap,(bring your own shampoo) dish-washing detergent, dishes, wine glasses, cookware, utensils and a few condiments (sugar, salt, pepper, sugar substitute, non dairy creamer, napkins and a few other misc items). *The unit faces down hill toward the Fairmont (can't quite see ski hill) but it is separated by evergreens so it's very quiet (despite the occasional loud person in the hallway-no way to control that). *Three hot tubs open morning til 10pm, towels provided. *Free local calls *There is a small grocery store in the upper village (eggs, meats, bread. condiments, snacks, some fruits and veggies) as well as a small liqueur store, *Lost of space for 2 adults. It was nice having the separate bedroom so we could have our own space if needed. *The bed is comfortable enough for a rental. Nice bedding but we did miss our memory foam topper at home (personal preference-everyone is different right?) CONS: * It is a bit of a walk to the lower village and unfortunately if you go the "short way" it involves hiking down the ski hill. It takes more than 5 minutes but less than 10 at a quick pace, BUT you have to walk down the ski hill (bring snow boots if you want to do this walk). We did it every day with ease but we are hikers and in decent shape. FYI~You will have to walk on the side of the ski hill while skiers and snowboarders whiz by. It is kind of a pain to go back up with groceries but do-able. You can walk the long way down the street but it's a lot further... we didn't bother with this. *The lifts open at 8:30am. If you plan on doing "fresh tracks" which is early access to the Mountain (lift access from 7:15-8:00am) and breakfast up at the Roundhouse you either have to walk with all your gear to the gondola in the lower village or wait til the shuttle service starts at 7am. However, people start lining up for the gondola around 6am so you will be last in line if you wait for the shuttle. * The shuttle only runs every 10 minutes 7am til around 11am. 11am til late night it's every 15-20 minutes so plan well if you need to be to the village in a timely manner. We ended up walking it most of the time. Taking the shuttle into the village is a quick ride because the Aspens is one of the last stops on the way in. However taking the shuttle back to the Aspens is quite longer as you will get to see many of the condos up the hill before swinging back around to the Aspens. *The larger grocery (IGA) store is quite a hike even if you take the shuttle. The shuttle drops you off near the gondola and the IGA is on the other end of the village. There is probably another shuttle you can take but we didn't bother because we got what we needed from the small upper village market. I believe you can have groceries delivered which might be a good option for those wanting more. For us the PROS outweighed the CONS and we had a blast. We would have brought our bigger snow boots with better snow-tread had we known we would be making the hike up and down the ski hill so many times. My husband just had some slip on Merrill's and I had some hiking Keens.,.. it snowed a lot so the bottoms of our pants were constantly wet from the hike. Bring your high boots.
A Perfect Place!

I have stayed at the aspens before but never in such a well organized suite. Everything you could possible want and the kitchen would make a chef smile! Very comfortable furniture throughout! Balcony was quiet and private. All in all a relaxing stay.
Homey and well appoint cabin slopeside

Pros: true ski in, ski out great kitchen with modern appliances huge tv roomy one bedroom very comfy king bed Perfect for 2-4 people looking to cook-in, occasionally go out and be right on the mtn. Cons: Of you want to party in Whistler village, you have to take the shuttle.
You can walk into the Village. It is about a 10 minute walk down the slope and then on the Valley Trail via the Upper Village into the main Village.
Ski-in ski-out near Blackcomb Base

We stayed at this condo the week after Christmas. It is a true ski-in ski-out location; the ski valet is a nice touch. We walked to Whistler Village every night with no problem. The hot tubs looked fun, but we did not use them. It was a little small for us--2 adults plus our young adult children. Will try for the same location with 2 BR next time. The property management was excellent--booked thru alluraDirect--very professional.
Very Quiet and Cozy

We have been coming to Whistler for 25 years and this was by far the quietest unit we have ever stayed in. We usually stay over-looking the pool and didn't realize how noisy it has been til we stayed here. The bed was amazing and the air conditioning so appreciated. Great Unit. Will defiately stay here again. Thank you

We enjoyed our last minute stay at the aspens #217 for the BC Long Weekend. The service received from Kerry was very informative and speedy since our stay was 2 days following the booking. The home was very comfortable and homey. It's perfect for couples, and perhaps a small family. We enjoyed the balcony and the privacy due to the trees. While the patio had chairs outside, it was missing a small table. We ended up bring out one of the dining chairs to put our coffee mugs on. :) We look forward to returning soon!

We loved our 8 night stay at the aspens. The location is terrific and our suite was very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. It was quiet, the pool was fantastic and we felt very at home during our stay. Kerry was wonderful too - she made sure that we were well looked after and answered any questions that we had upon our arrival. We would definitely come back and are thinking about booking again soon.
Top Ten at Whistler
A FlipKey verified reviewer from Vancouver
As a long-term, multiple-stay visitor to Whistler since 1997, I've stayed in many and various accommodations throughout the village and Whistler environs, and have a good idea of what constitutes good value. The deal is pretty simple: if you want accommodation that ensures your stay is fun and memorable and relaxing and optimizes your time on the slopes, you want two things: a ski-in, ski-out location, walking distance to the village. The aspens is one of a few locations that truly offer this opportunity. You can;t beat the location - slide down the hill a few metres to Blackcomb base to catch the lift in the morning, and stroll a little further across Fitzsimmons Creek to the village and shop, "apre" and enjoy. End of the day - ride/ski right back to the pool area, third your gear on the condo floor and slide into one of the hot tubs. We do visits to Whistler in Winter, Spring and Summer and with a smallish group the aspens always proves to be a good choice.

We just love the aspens especially number 217. It is tastefully decorated, super comfy King size bed, flat screen Tv's in the master and the lounge. The unit faces the beautiful trees covered in white powder creating that feel that there was no one else around. The unit is extremely well stocked even down to the tasbasco sauce! Would highly recommend anyone stay here.

Excellent service re. booking and Kerry called to check all was ok. The apartment was great, tasteful decor, all the mod cons and lovely to come back to after a day on the slopes. It was great to be slightly removed from the village and yet only an easy 5 minute walk away. The best thing for us was the superb true ski in/out poition of The aspens.

Kerry the manager was quick to address the minor problems we had and we found it easy to be there for skiing. Great location for ski in ski out. A nice to have would be a small welcome pack of basics like eggs, milk pancake mix for the first day or two for international arrivals like us, but not a biggie. Apartment was as described. Thanks to Kerry and the owner!
A fabulous ski in/out condo

Nice place, especially for the price...

Very nice play, especially for the price. Pretty comfortable overall, very spacious... nice amenities. The couch was a little old and broken in. For whatever reason we just didn't sleep that great it the bed...it felt comfortable but maybe we just used to a bit stiffer mattress. I would however easily stay here again and would definitely recommend this place.
Thank you for your comments. The sofa bed couch was replaced in December 2011, just after this guest departed.

Superb unit! quality finishings from towels to cookwear. Everything you need, to relax and enjoy the community of Whistler. Love the location, hidden away from the hustle and bustle, but only a few minutes walk to the heart of the action. Will definately enjoy our time here again!
Quiet and relaxing

Stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Check in/out was flexible and smooth. Location was a close walk to Whistler Village (and a stone's throw from the Upper Village). If we had stayed in the winter it would've been a perfect ski in/out situation. Updated furniture and decor. Was quite and relaxing. Made for a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this rental for three nights and had a fantastic time. I love the ski in/out aspect and how close it is to the village. The suite was perfect size for myself and my wife and was a great value for the price. Will definitely stay here again if it is available.
