Alluring and Distinctive, our home is a splendid 3 level chalet.
Entry level now has a Bunk room with one single over single bunk bed and one single over double. For the 2017/2018 season the bunks will be replaced with a queen bed! Full bathroom including a bathtub. There is also the secure, attached garage with parking for 1 vehicle and ski storage.
Second floor has more sleeping areas. The ample Master bedroom with Fireplace, TV, 3 piece ensuite and access to the hot tub on the deck. The 2 Bunk rooms each include a single over double bunk bed and access to the main bathroom with steam shower. The laundry facilities are also on this floor.
Top level boasts 800 square feet of the living area. The Spacious Open Floor concept has the kitchen centered between the living and dining room areas. The dining area is at the rear with views of the ski run. The living room is located in the front with views to the south. Powder room is adjacent to the dining room.

The outdoor hot tub area can be used after 11 pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11 pm out of respect for our neighbouring families.|

|Property Damage||Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incurred by tenants or guests & authorizes up to a $2,000.00 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. What a cool spot. if you want a funky, cool get away experience you cannot do better. Beds were great, washrooms were great, hot tub was a much needed spot at the end of the day. After a few days of skiing the stairs get ominous but that's my fault not the condo's. Overall, we are very satisfied with this vacation home. We like the kitchen/dining/living room the best as it is roomy and has a rich selection of kitchen hardware. Location is great, very close to Lara's gondola in Happy Valley. There are a few things we would like to get owner's attention:
1) The hot water tank ran out of capacity when we tried to take shower at same time.
2) TV in the living room is a bit small.

We came to the EDGE for the 3rd year in a row and again it was fantastic. The property is well maintained and the owner/managers are quick to respond to any questions or feedback we bring up every year.
I'd fully recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay at Big White for the value, ease of ski in/out access, and size and the style of the condo. It offers a large living space for a big group in the upper level and lots of living space in all the rooms as well.
We had 3 out of 4 days of riding with not great visibility, and it was so nice to come back and take a well deserved rest throughout the day while conditions blew over. Of course the poor visibility brought with it a lot of snow and on day 4 it was a clear blue sky with tons of snow.

The Edge is a good place to stay, easy access to the slope down to the Lara Gondola. Nice facilities - although beware it is better for a family than two couples as there is only one master bedroom, the others are bunk beds. Unfortunately the property next door seems to be let to folks working at the ski hill and outside is a bit of a dumping ground. Unfortunately for us it was also Party Central for two nights during our 4 night stay and the parties went on until 4 a.m. and then started up again at about 6:30 a.m. in the morning in the hot tub which backs on to the master bedroom. Excellent Ski Chalet at Big White with all of the amenities as noted in the listing. Great location not far from Happy Valley for skating and tubing. Right on the Happy Valley ski run for easy ski-in and ski-out right from the unit. Nice new unit at the Edge located at a great ski hill. We all had a great time over Christmas. I would highly recommend this chalet to others.View Full Review
Worse edge unit.. DO NOT BOOK

Booked the edge 4 for 4 nights in Jan 2016. This is the 3rd year we have booked this place and will be the last. I am making a review for Edge 4. Unit is a duplex. There are other edge units that are stand alone. Don't waste your money on this unit. Because it's attached you literally cannot make a single sound in the house after 11pm. When I mean sound you can't even have a conversation. Security guard came at 9:30pm and threatened to evict us if we do not keep it down. Came again at 11:30PM to remind us again that we were too loud. So trying to be respectful we kept it down. Rwceived no complaint on the next night but again it was unfair because other units were loud and did not receive any complaints. The last night security guarf came again at 11:30pm and reminded us that we were being loud. After we tried to keep our noise level down. Security knocked on the door 5 minutes later and told us that he can still hear us outside. At this point we weren't even making any noise and we're having a conversation amongst ourselves. Save your money and DO NOT BOOK this unit. What makes this whole situation worse is that other units in the same area was making more noise than us and yet we were the only unit that received complaints because it is DUPLEX There is also hot water problems that we keep telling the owners every year. With a house that can accommodate 13 people... it will only have enough hot water for 4 people. They should atleast install a bigger hot water tank.
Thanks for your feedback Joan. It is unfortunate that your large group of young adults experienced issues this year with security and noise complaints. We understand the challenges of managing noise levels in attached properties, and acknowledge all guests are entitled to enjoy themselves during their stay in our home while also being mindful and respectful of neighbours in adjoining properties. We would like to suggest that it is not the fault of the owner of Edge 4 that your group of friends experienced such an unpleasant stay. The security company at the resort is obliged to respond to all reported complaints at any time of day or night. Quiet time in the resort is 11:00 pm to 7:00 am as Big White is a family oriented resort. Supply and demand of hot water in a home that accommodates 13 people is also a bit to a challenge if all guests are trying to shower in a very short period of time. The 60 gallon hot water tank can be taxed to keep up with demand. Thank you again for you candid comments.
