Fully equipped chalet with a distinct and luxurious feeling. The home is fully equipped with four bedrooms plus den/loft. The master has an electric fireplace, as well as a large ensuite bath with a large jacuzzi tub and shower. There is a large kitchen, dining area & living room with wood burning fireplace, laundry facilities, steam shower, and the lower level fourth bedroom that exits the outside, or it can make a great den for kids to hang and not bother the adult time.

Main living room with vaulted ceiling and lots of windows. Lounge on our loverly new secional sofa in front of the river rock fireplace. Have access here to our gorgeous extra large deck with seating, hot tub, and views galore! Get served a hot toddy right outside the kitchen windows that open directly onto the hot tub. Then jump out of the tub, and run straight to our large steam shower to totally be ready for a long nights sleep!
Main dining area with table seating for 7. But can add more with extra chairs around, and even more if you add the table in living onto it., and we do have the bar sitting area that can hold 2 more. Gorgeous area where you can see the mountains thru the many windows, and access the hot tub from right there and you can even serve the hot tub from these windows!

We had a big group stay at the lodge this past Spring Break and there were definitely some pros and cons to the property. It really comes down to what you are looking for. We were just looking for a place to stay because most of the day we were out on the slopes or snowshoeing, and because of this, I would recommend the rental. If you were to stay at the location to lounge and relax as a getaway, this may not be for you, as this is definitely an "older" rental.
Pros include: good sized rooms, good # of bathrooms, close to public transit, parking is available, contact responded very quickly prior to arrival, kitchen had ample amounts of plates, cups and cutlery.
Cons include: it seems like a group is residing downstairs so we had to be careful with our footsteps (and we had a couple of larger folks), sheets were dusty, we had a small ant problem (the problem was small, but the ants were huge!), felt the coils on the bed, kitchen needs new pots and pans, no where to store skis and boards as there is no garage to use, parking must be outside and not coveredView Full Review Owner Has Responded

We had a very happy stay. Views from this house are amazing. Also loved the location , no highway sounds and easy access to walking trails. The house is not new , but it is being maintained/ repaired. The downstairs bedroom needs to be spruced up. The exterior light from adjacent apartment needs to be blocked out by a blind. Also this room very noisy because of furnace, uneven heat (perhaps due to unusually cold weather). Otherwise the house very comfortably accommodated 8 adults and 2 dogs.View Full Review

This home is great for a large group. We had two families, 11 of us all together. The House is next to the owners house and above a caretakers cottage. The layout was great, location was great, beds were great and the fireplace was fantastic. Once the hot tub got cleaned and fixed it was also great.
The kitchen is a work in progress. Our families cook a lot. I brought many things with me but not enough. If you are into certain spices and kitchen implements, bring them. Shirley the concierge was very responsive. Communicate directly with her and not the caretaker or owner. She is your contact person.View Full Review

We had a great time! The place was great, easy to get to the village and where we wanted to be. The only problem was when the highway closed for IRONMAN because we could not get out, but we were given an extended stay so that we didn't have to wander the street until they re-opened Alpine. :-) There's a nice little walk to a creek in the back yard, and lots of space inside. Great Group Getaway

Overall, the stay was really great - and was a great value! The house was very spacious and worked perfectly for our group. The main living areas were great for eating and socializing together. The master bed was also super comfortable! We're glad we chose the property!
That said, it's obvious that the house could use some updating in certain areas - particularly the bedrooms. The walls throughout the house really need a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint, and the carpets had quite a few stains. Also, the layout of the room between the house and guest house was really wonky and not at all private. Beyond this, some of the appliances/cookware/utensils in the kitchen were in need of TLC. The can opener was impossible to use, the pans were mostly warped, and other small things like that. From the description, it seemed like the kitchen would be a little better equipped.
Everything (aside from kitchen equipment) was as we had expected from the description and other reviews. The location was extremely convenient, and talking with the owner and manager was quick and easy.

Our vacation was perfect! It started out with initial contact. I received a reply right away, which wasn't the case with other proterties. They were very accommodating allowing us to only stay the two nights even though the minimum states three. Check-in was as smooth as possible.
The house is fantastic with lots of room and extra beds encase you have more company. It was only a 5 minute drive to the village and getting taxi's wasn't a problem. Thank you! I will definitely be staying here again and recommending it to friends and family.View Full Review

The house was in complete disarray when we arrived at 4:00pm on our check-in day. The concierge and cleaning service had confused our arrival day. It took about 30 minutes for me to track down the concierge and cleaning crew - voice mailboxes were full to capacity and people weren't answering phones. Once in touch with concierge she started by suggesting the error was mine - unpaid security deposit, wrong date. Eventually, she looked at her records and confirmed that it was her error.
We then had to vacate the property for 2 hours to allow time for cleaning crew to do their work. We were a group of 13 people who had been traveling in the car all day. The situation was very inconvenient. The concierge did nothing to compensate for her error; she hardly even apologized.
Once through the check in confusion we enjoyed our stay. However, the house is much more warn than I expected. We used 11 of the beds and none of them were comfortable. Living room Furniture was saggy and uncomfortable, which was especially a challenge for the four grandparents traveling with us. There were more dining room chairs that were broken, than not.

This house is FANTASTIC. I was here with friends and there was plenty of room and the house was fantastic. It was so easy to check in and out, as well as a full stocked kitchen, including spices and coffee! The one thing that I can comment is the original description in regards to sleeping. There are two singles and a double in the one apartment. Then a master with 3 beds in one room, another room with a queen and then an additional room with bunks and a double.
The other comment I can make is to have some instructions on using the appliances, such as the steam showers as well as a list of local recommendations. Other than that. Outstanding. We will be back!View Full Review

Booking information is timely, accurate and detailed. The owner takes the time to answer all your questions and confirm accommodation details. The concierge service is also outstanding. I booked the property for a special 50th birthday party and we had a family of three generations (from across Canada) living together here for a week. The beautiful home provided a comfortable, private, quiet and relaxing gathering space and yet everyone had more than enough room for privacy and accommodate everyone's unique requirements.

The property overall served our needs well, as we did end up with a total of 14 family members that slept there at one time or another, ranging in age from 5 to 70. The annex worked fine as a spill-over area. The property was quite well equipped and everything worked, so our overall impression of the place was positive, and we were satisfied with the rental. It is beginning to show its age, however, and could use a little 'refreshing' in some areas.
With those general comments aside, we do have a few specific comments and suggestions:
a) We had 3 light bulbs burn out in the MBR bathroom, and could only find 2 replacement bulbs
b) 3 of the toilet paper dispensers were loose or became detached, so those need to be replaced or tightened.
c) The bedroom in the loft is really very small, even smaller than we expected (although you do describe it as such on your website). Also, the mattress on that bed is quite soft and lumpy.
d) There was no brush to clean off the barbeque grill, and no brush to baste food that was being grilled.
Obviously, these are all relatively minor issues, and can be fairly easily addressed. Again, we had a good time with the family while in there, and overall were quite satisfied with the property.
