Here is the sunken living room with a cosy fire and a view of the West Coast forest (with snow in winter!) outside. The aspect is quiet and private. There is lots of firewood on the patio for warm, cosy evenings.

The pull out couch with queen size mattress and down comforter is in the living room. There is a double closet for storage on the higher level.

Property Description

The townhouse is a large one bedroom on the ground floor and is on one level. You enter into the foyer, which is a separate room for storing skis, gear and outerwear, as well as wet gear. The kitchen, dining and living room are open concept. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped whether you just eat breakfast there or cook up a storm. The sunken living room is down 2 steps, with a wood burning fireplace, and one wall of windows looking out onto towering Douglas Firs, one of the symbols of Canada's west coast. You step out onto a 10 x 12 patio. The dining area is a large and separate area and seats 4 very comfortably with a large table. The bedroom has an excellent queen bed and picture window. A 4 piece bath with jetted (jacuzzi) tub completes the townhouse.

Location & Map


The Gables is the perfect location! Situated between the Village and Upper Village, it is 2 minutes from all skiing, the bike park, restaurants and shops.

In the winter it is a 2 minute walk to up or download all lifts on both mountains, and to all lessons, rentals and guest services, the Tube Park and night skiing.


In the summer, it is a short 1 minute ride across the road to the Bike Park.

The grocery and liquor store are a short walk into the Village.

The Gables are situated beside Fitzsimmons Creek and Park. It is quiet and private, yet convenient to everything. You can park the car and walk!

In the summer, The Gables is right on the Valley Trail, which takes you into the Village, as well as connecting onto an extensive trail system throughout Whistler. The gondola for sightseeing and the bike park are 2 minutes away. Two golf courses are within walking distance. The skateboard park is on the other side of the creek. Swimming at Lost Lake is a 15 minute walk along the Valley Trail, so there is no need to jockey for parking.

For conference goers, the Telus Whistler Conference Centre is a 5 minute walk into the Village, or the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a 5 minute walk to the Upper Village.

Cancellations Made by Guests All deposits of 25% are non-refundable. All refunds are made by personal cheque. For reservations Nov 1- Apr 30: The deposit is non-refundable. If the balance is paid, the total amount is non refundable except if reservation is replaced. Refund equals value of reservation with which the cancelled booking is replaced minus 4% cancellation fee. May 1- Oct 31: If the balance is paid, refund of 50% minus 4% cancellation fee with minimum notice of cancellation 7 days prior to arrival date.
Delayed Arrivals There is no refund if your arrival is delayed at the last minute.

Reservation Changes You may lengthen your stay at no charge. Shortening your stay is considered a partial cancellation and subject to cancellation policy above. There is no charge if you change the dates, but total nights remain the same.

Guest Stay Policies

Bike Storage Bike storage is provided in secure underground parking garage. Bikes may be stored inside the townhouse in the foyer.
Check-In Time 4:00 pm. Please request early check-in in advance.
Check-Out Time 10:00 am. Please request late check out in advance.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs If cleaning required is more than the normal 2 hours, excess costs will be charged to the guest. Includes but is not limited to any cleaning needed by restoration services, a plumber, stains, odor, smoking in the unit, or cooking. Includes any extra cleaning costs to restore the townhouse to the same condition as it was upon check in.
Excessive Noise Will not be tolerated out of courtesy to neighbours. If excessive noise is reported, after one warning the guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.
Forgotten Items by Guest There is a $15 charge for returning forgotten items to guests. Guests are responsible for all mailing costs for forgotten items.
Housekeeping Complimentary. For reservations of 8 nights or more, full linen change and bathroom cleaned about every fifth day during your stay. The kitchen is to be maintained by the guest.
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.
Maintenance Emergencies 24 phone support
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 4. Please contact me if your party is larger than 4.
Property Damage Guests assume all financial responsibility for any property damage incurred by you or your guests. While no damage deposit is requested, you are financially responsible for any damage incurred by you or your guests during your stay.

Best lunch strategies Take your lunch in a backpack. Microwaves are available for your use in The Roundhouse on Whistler, & The Rendezvous & Glacier Creek on Blackcomb.
Latest date I have ever skiied/boarded May 12, and it was awesome. Bright sun and great snow up top!

My Money Saving Tips

Cheapest groceries Squamish: Save on Foods, liquor store and drug store all in one plaza.
Cheapest times to come to Whistler Late April/early May. Sun, great snow up top, much cheaper prices. What people still haven't discovered is that Whistler has great snow late in the season.

On a Personal Note

Our favourite season in Whistler and why. While Winter and Summer are great, the crisp fall air, beautiful colours and promise of snow are wonderful here in the autumn. Combined with value season prices and very few people, you experience a slower and quieter Whistler. For those of us on the West Coast, this is fall as fall is meant to be.

About Us

We live in Squamish, just south of Whistler. I moved here in 1991 from Toronto to escape the city, and to live closer to a great ski hill and resort! We love the mountains and all the activities available to us in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

We had a great stay at the Gables! Kerry was fantastic in responsiveness and check in / check out was great. Location for skiing at Blackcomb was amazing - couldn't believe we skied May long weekend. Beds were very comfortable and rooms spacious. Well equipped kitchen and basic cooking tools (oils, etc) was very helpful.

Maybe only downside was only one window in bedroom opens and sliding door to get fresh air in so kitchen can be a bit stuffy especially if cooking lots. Great stay!

Great stay for spring skiing

Had a great stay at Kerry's Gables. Nice cozy condo with amenities and comfort of a home. Location was fantastic, <5 min walk to the lifts (either at upper village or whistler village) and yet, just away from the noise of the village. Secured parking underground. Love the real wood fire place with wood provided. Mattress was supportive with great pillows. Great water pressure for a good refreshing shower.

Reservation and communication with the owner was spot on. Kerry even gave us a call the night when we checked in to make sure everything was fine, great host !! Will for sure rent again in the future.

Location, location, location!

This is a fantastic location, right between the Whistler and Blackcomb lifts, whisper quiet and a really tranquil setting. The apartment is really spacious, well laid out and well equipped. I enjoyed a wood fire on a few cold nights, although the internal heating is really good. Loved the foyer/drying room for boots and ski gear - which was all toasty warm in the morning.

The kitchen had a load of basic supplies (tea, sugar, oil, basic spices etc) already there which makes a huge difference to your spend at the supermarket. Kerry called not long after my arrival to see if i needed anything, which was unexpected. Also just so easy to check in/out - so reception queues, just put in the door code and walk in! Highly recommended.

Our Whistler Home Away From Home

Wonderful accommodations! The condominium was in a lovely, peaceful setting under the trees. It was clean and quite comfortable and had all the amenities a guest would need - wi-fi, cable TV, secure underground garage, washer/dryer, newer kitchen appliances, jetted tub, fireplace. The owner left trail maps, brochures about Whistler activities, and a binder with "how to" instructions for check-in/check-out, parking, wi-fi set-up, etc.

The kitchen was well-stocked with sturdy, durable dishes and cookware. On the day we checked in, the owner even called to ask us if we needed anything or had any questions.

Great location - minutes away from the gondolas and lifts and just a short walk from both Upper and Lower Villages. Would definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay at Gables. First time on our honeymoon, this this time with our 18 month old son. I It's our favourite as it looks out onto beautiful trees, it's a corner unit which is private and right next to a lovely path that you can walk down beside the creek to get to the bridge. Minutes from the village Can't get a better location. The bed and sofa are extremely comfortable.

The Gables apartment was very clean, well maintained and within walking distance to ski lifts - Whistler and Blackcomb. This accommodation made the holiday in Whistler very hassle-free.

The whole arartment is well equipped especially for snow and cold weather. Also it is a very equipped kitchen that truly allows you to cook if you wish to. Kerry was very responsive to the point of ensuring an Australian knew how to turn on Canadian light switches!! Great service.

We stayed at The Gables for almost 2 weeks at the beginning of July 2014. First of all, Kerry was awesome at answering all of our questions before hand and leaves a very detailed book with instructions and information on a variety of condo and Whistler related topics. She followed up with a phone call the evening we checked in to make sure we had arrived and to see if we had any questions.

Parking at the Gables was great. We towed a utility trailer with our bikes and canoe and we were able to park it in the underground lot and still park our vehicle in the parking lot...this was all included in our rental price so no extra fees for parking.

The condo was homey and roomy. We very much felt at home! It is tucked away in the trees which blocks any noise, it was a very quiet location yet very close to the base of Blackcomb (right across the road) and Whistler Village is just a short 4-5 minute walk. Laundry facilities were great as well...being there almost 2 weeks it was nice to not overpack knowing we could do laundry. The kitchen was well stocked, we cooked many yummy meals in the kitchen.

We will definitely be back to Kerry's place. Highly recommend her unit.

Hey guys, this place was a great value. Kerry, the owner, was very commentating and a pleasure to work with. The condo is about a five minute, beautiful walk. Take the short cut, follow the path that start between the condos and heads towards the back yard, go through the covered bridge and straight down the path. The place was clean, warm, GREAT wifi, plenty of room for a couple and then some. The door has a combo that is easy to use. So there is no need to go to a property manager first.....I went straight to the condo with I arrived in Whistler. I took the airport bus shuttle and they dropped me off and picked me up right at the property. I strongly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay at The Gables this fall. The condo was in a lovely, peaceful, wooded setting. It had just about everything we needed - secure underground parking, well-equipped kitchen with good quality dishes and cookware, washer and dryer, wi-fi, cable TV, jetted tub, newer appliances, lots of towels and bedding. Kerry provided us with trail maps and brochures about various Whistler activities and a binder with detailed instructions on check- in/check- out, parking, wi-fi, etc. On the day we arrived she even called to ask if we had any problems or questions. We loved being able to walk to the gondolas, trails, and village within minutes. Couldn't ask for a better location. We felt quite at home and would stay at 3 The Gables again if we return to Whistler.

This property is ideal for its proximity to both the main village and the upper village. It is nicely designed, impeccably maintained and is equipped far beyond expectations, and the owner goes out of her way to ensure you have a great stay in Whistler. We will certainly return here, and would recommend it highly to any couple wishing to spend a few idyllic days in paradise.

We have tow great weeks in whistler. The Apartment was very nice and realy close at the liftstation of the bikepark! At our next trip to whistler we will Book 3 the Gables again. Thank you very much for all.

Inet site is correct in every detail. The property is very clean and any problems (doubt there would be a problem) are fixed immediately. Kerry is quick to respond to any questions and is helpful with suggestions and future plans. A very pleasant stay with thanks to Kerry. If this 1 Bedroom property does not fit your needs/ size Kerry has suggestions for larger properties. I am convinced that if any alternatives were offered they would be of the same very high standard.

The best place to stay in Whistler if you are looking for spacious accomodation within easy walking distance from the village and Blackcomb. The Gables is perfectly positioned to enjoy the busy life of the village on your doorstep whilst also having a peaceful and quite get away. The Fitzsimmons river is a wonderful backdrop to the development where you can enjoy sit and enjoy the early morning and evening sun on the shoreline. Simply appointed the accommodation has all modern conveniences which will make you feel right at home the moment you kick off your shoes and settle either in front of a roaring fire or out on the patio. The owner keeps it in excellent order and is ready to offer any local advice you need. This was actually our eighth stay at The Gables during our stay in Canada to get married in Whistler. Highly recommended.

Our favorite condo to stay at during our summer Whistler trips. It is so close to the lifts and village. Spacious for us to spread out our stuff and wonder why we packed so much. We also love the real wood fireplace. It is perfect for those chilly nights. Owners are also very helpful and available if we ever had any questions.

We spent fifteen nights in the apartment over February and March 2013. I've spent some time thinking about what could possibly be improved, and I can't think of a single thing. Checking in was a breeze, in fact there is no check in, you just arrive, punch in the correct code and you're there. The apartment was clean, tidy, warm, more than large enough for the two of us and came with all amenities we could have wanted. The kitchen is well stocked for just about any cooking activity. The location is hard to beat - just a three minute walk to the base station of both Blackcomb and Whistler (as well as a similar distance to the Upper Village base). Just a few yards further and you're in the Village itself. Kerry made herself very much available for us to contact her with any problems, although there was no reason to do so. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. If/when we return to Whistler this is the first place we'll look to stay, and I would happily recommend the apartment to anyone coming to the area.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our recent 3-night stay at this condo. The unit itself is roomy and comfortable, and we especially appreciated the wonderful new 'air-tight' style fireplace, which provided a beautiful fire and was very efficient - what a great design! The kitchen is well stocked (in fact, the best quality in dishes, cutlery and cookware we've ever encountered in a vacation rental) and has all the large and small appliances a cook might require. The bedroom is outfitted with a very comfortable queen-sized bed (although we would have liked a less substantial quilt as it was much heavier than we're used to and kept sliding off), but has rather spartan decor - a small dresser and/or some more pictures would have warmed the room up. The livingroom has very comfortable seating, a good-sized flatscreen television (that accepted our media devices) and that wonderful fireplace - and it was a pleasure to look out at the snow-covered deck and green space. We will definitely return, and will happily recommend this unit to our friends and family.

We came up for the annual Turkey Sale and the Gables was the perfect place to stay. It's location between Whistler and Blackcomb was great. Just a short stroll to either. The unit was clean and ready to go for us. The fireplace was a nice touch on the cool fall evenings. I stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great time staying here. Everything felt very cozy and went smooth as can be. Parking, check-in, and all the furnishings were great. The bed was very comfy, sheets were nice and soft, kitchen was well stocked with cookware and silverware. The tv, living room, and patio are great too. The only negative I can think of was the lack of a bathroom fan, but that didn't really affect our stay. The location is also ideal... a good feeling of tranquility while still being right next to the village. We could hear the river and hop on the trail to lost lake literally from the patio!

This unit is no more than a 5 minute walk from Blackcomb base in one direction and Whistler village in the other, with easy access to great restaurants. It is in a quiet location and has everything one needs.

Found this apartment via Tripadvisor and spent week there for skiing. The owner was great providing us with advice and tips before we arrived. The apartment is cosy and well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery, dishwasher, washer dryer etc. It was about 4 minute walk to the blackcomb lifts a little bit further to the whistler mountain lifts and village walk. When I return to Whistler I would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped and truly was close enough to the Blackcomb lifts in a brief walk and then only 5 minutes from the Whistler lifts and all the shops and restaurants. The owner gave us excellent tips on how to get there and where to buy groceries. If we visit the area again I woudl definitely stay here

We stayed for one night during the high season and this place was perfect for us (a family of 4). It was exactly as billed - spacious & quiet - and it even had a foyer in which to leave your ski equipment - perfect! The best part was that it is a 5 minute walk to the ski lifts - again, just perfect.

Service seemed good. The place was well stocked (i.e. coffee and condiments were provided) and was very comfortable. The location was very close to the village and quick to walk there, even with gear it only took about 5 minutes to the lifts. The only downside may have been the sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable (i.e. you could sometimes feel the springs while sleeping).

The condo was very nice for the 3 of us. We didn't even have to unfold the sleeper couch, as it was very wide for one to sleep on! Nice kitchen & bath too. Love the combo lock so we didn't need keys!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, we have visited Whistler many times, but had not heard of The Gables before - we will now be sure to recommend this. The price was very competitive, the location ideal, the accommodation was the perfect size for four for a few days, and the kitchen was great to be able to fully self-cater for ourselves. The free parking was an additional reason we booked this and it was very secure and convenient.

De condo is so near to the bikepark we could sleep in and go to the park right after it. Just the perfect place for bike holidays. You can place your bike on the terasse if you go back for a break or lunch. I get all information you need via E-mail, very confortable. we had no problem to get in on our arrival, everything was just perfect. I would defently stay there again. Thank you very much.

My Husband and I visit Whistler quite often (we live in Vancouver) and many times we've stayed at another place (s) in the Gables. What really stood out for us is that your place supplied wood and lots of it, that's not common. And typically there hasn't been enough toilet paper in other units, yours had plenty. Along with having plenty of garbage bags and paper towel. And there tampons in the bathroom, no one needed them but that's a nice touch. We've also learned to bring our own matches because even though the units have fireplaces, a lot of other places did not supply matches, were as you did and plenty of them. And we also were quite pleased with the quality of cutlery and dishes that were supplied. My Husband mentioned a tap problem in the kitchen, that seemed to have been fixed right away during our visit, another nice touch. The only thing that I would add to the unit is bar stools, we find that the kitchen is a fun area to hang out in as we like to cook and just chat about our day there...but that's the only thing I would add, we loved everything else. Like I mentioned earlier, we've stayed at the Gables many times before and were always shorted something, but not here in your unit. Thank you for thinking of a lot of little things, even corks for opened wine. Traci & Joe Hamilton

This place was utterly perfect. The price was right, the location couldn't have been more convenient, the setting was lovely - forested, peaceful, next to Fitzimmon Creek and trail, the bed was luxuriously comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, and had all other amenities including WiFi and cable and DVD player, washer and dryer. I will definitely be back. And the owner was a delight to work with...made everything so easy and provided lots of helpful information for getting around the area and fulfilling all of your needs. Couldn't recommend it more. I will definitely be staying here again when I go back to Whistler.
