Dining table can very comfortably accommodate 8 people, 10 people cozy with seating for 2 more at the bar. The dining set consists of table, bench and 6 chairs. There are excellent guiding services available, or we can simply point you in the right direction or even show you where to find the best snow or bike trails. We are experienced skiers and mountain-bikers and welcome your queries. Hiking, mountain-biking, back-country skiing and shoeshoeing can be accessed right out the door. Arrangements can be made to stock the kitchen with your favourite grocery items and beverages in the fridge so that you don't need to spend valuable holiday time looking for all the right stuff to make your experience the best it can be. Find Mt. Fernie Timberlodge in the mountain community of Alpine Trails in Fernie, BC on the lower slopes of Mt. Fernie. Our family group of 6 adults plus 1 busy toddler had a
fabulous week long holiday in the Fernie Timber Lodge and
such a lovely location in your home. Alex and Donna were great hosts.
They had lots of great advice for activities, etc. The cabin was clean
And well laid out. It was full of great decor and
beautiful furnishings. We had used their hot tub,garage
and BBQ and made friends with Charlie and Chum. It was located
close to town (2 minute drive) but you can walk or bike to town as well.
We had great views of the mountains and clear starry skies in the evenings.
The area is very quiet (not much traffic)and the fresh mountain air was great for long walks in the mornings with our 2 year old grand daughter.
We were wake/surf boating at nearby Koocanusa
for most of the week and the roads were great for traveling.
We hope we can stay again some time during ski season.
I would highly recommend this property. Our week stay went by
so fast, it seemed like we just got there, settled in right away
and then were packing up to return home again.
My family and some dear friends recently had a reunion at this very special place. Everything was perfect and the owners thought of everything. With 6 adults and 6 children we thought we might be cramped but in fact we had so much space. We all enjoyed the hot tub and some much needed R &R.; Thank you for one of the best stays we have ever had!
The house is located in a beautiful area close to downtown Fernie but far enough way that you feel the nature. The interior is spectacular and comfortable. We were a group of 8 and had plenty of room. The fully equipped kitchen and the large terrace were highlights for us! Donna and alex and their daughter were very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.Looking forward to our return next year!

For the first time in many, many years we finally got our family organized for a vacation together. We come from all over the country so it was hard to pick a spot but we couldn't have been happier that we settled on Fernie and, especially, the Timberlodge. Trying to get a place that is large enough for our family (9 adults with kids of different ages) is tough but we made it even more difficult in that we wanted a 'cozy' spot as well. The Timberlodge accomplished both with plenty of sleeping room (beds were incredibly comfy), bathrooms (no one left waiting!) and kitchen space (we are a family that loves to cook) to fit us plus the amazing huge stone fireplace providing the perfect spot for us to hang out around each night. The location was great for those in the group that wanted to hike or bike - you can hit some of the best trails by riding out the front door. A few of us even tried some fly fishing on the Elk (although, the fish could not be enticed even by the pros in the group!). We hope we'll get the chance to come back and stay again.
