Perfect location for skiing & recreation

We stayed at Marketplace Lodge #2** in Whistler for 10 days, and found the location and condition of the place superb. Quite spacious and tasteful interior, as well as proximity to the restaurants, stores and nightlife. We walked to the gondola every day, so we were not dependant on buses or transportation services. The lodge is situated in the lower part of the main area in Whistler.
After skiing, we could relax in the jacuzzi/hot tub, after a long day in the powder snow of Blackcomb and Whistler mountain.
Arriving to the resort after 10 days in Revelstoke, we could do our much needed laundry in the room, where there was a washing machine and a dryer.
The only thing missing in the room was perhaps a lamp or lightsource in the den where the bunkbeds are, and a few more drinking glasses.
If available during our next visit, we will try to stay here again.View Full Review
Lovely, comfortable apartment in central location

Just back from a 10 night stay in this apartment, we were a family of 4 and had a lovely time. The den whilst small was perfect for our kids, somewhere to sleep without the need to make up a sofa bed and all beds were large and comfortable. There are a few minor things that need fixing, nothing I doubt the Maintenance team won't be working on once we make the Owner Peter aware, who replied to all our queries both before and during our stay.
We loved the location in Marketplace for convenience for shopping, right by the kids play area and ice skating and no more than 10 minutes walk to the lifts - our 7 year old twins were walking this daily for ski / ride school, and it's a lovely walk through the pedestrian area of the village. The bus also very convenient, every 10-15 minutes during the day and every 5 minutes at peak off piste times.
We used the jacuzzi a handful of times, which although is the other side of Marketplace was all indoors to reach and we never had an issue with numbers of people in the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is exceptionally hot though!! An added bonus for us with our holiday almost 2 weeks was a washer / dryer.

Comfortable and clean

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marketplace Lodge. The extra bunk bed in the den was a big plus and the beds were comfortable. The only issues we came across were having only two fob keys to access the building which made it difficult as the guests differed in their skiing ability and were not necessarily skiing together. We had to ensure the people returning to the condo first had a key and then would have to come down in the elevator to let the next person up. Unfortunately there was a vent outside in the building hallway that was making noise and nothing was done about it when reported to management. This was an issue with management and not the condo itself.
The condo is greatly suited to families and conveniently located right near the IGA, a 10 minute walk to the gondolas and 100m to the free shuttle. Would highly recommend!View Full Review

we hit whistler over the american thanksgiving weekend & this well appointed unit was in the heart of everything and a short walk to the gondolas (or buses available too). i've stayed in many units in north village and while things are close by, stepping out of this unit we had immediate access to starbucks, iga grocery, yama yoga, green mustache juicery/raw/vegan food and ski/board shop right nearby for easy drop off /overnight waxing. location is amazing and unit has great space including a laundry room perfect for board and boot storage. furnishings and decor is great. highly recommend.View Full Review
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE-CUSTOMERS BEWARE

The only thing going for it really is that it is located in the village, otherwise no frills, dated and quite dinged up. The owner gave us incorrect parking garage stall information on their brochure which resulted in us being towed from the condo stall to 20 minutes outside of town. This resulted in a 2-hour high-stress ordeal which ruined our stay. It has now been 3 days that I have been trying to contact the owner regarding this and they will not reply. The Managers of the Property Acknowledged that this is the owners mistake and that we were not accountable. We live in a world of customer service and this just doesn't cut it from a customer centricity perspective. If you want a condo in the village, I recommend you go elsewhere as there are many options. Why? If something goes wrong, you are likely on your own as the owners reside overseas and already have your money. Foor for thought and thank god for Tripadvisor. Best regards.

A great location, near the main market and other retail outlets. Quiet at night, good kitchen with all equipment needed, 2 bathrooms a real plus. Good separate sleeping areas for privacy. Take advantage of the services offered by Shirley (Peak to Creek), discounts on purchases and ski valet near the gondolas.

Very easy to communicate with. Great location on the stroll. The hosts have an excellent suite available with modern decoration. Enjoyed the wireless, hot tub, and the second bathroom.

The booking process was very easy and the concierge service was helpful in obtaining lift tickets and answering questions. The suite was smaller than I imagined, with just a little nook off the living area for the bunkbeds. The fixtures in the bathrooms and kitchen were all nice although several of the cupboard doors were loose on their hinges. At least three of the track halogen lights were out, with no replacement bulbs en suite, as well as the light in the entry way. We mentioned this but were not given any assistance. The CD player, which is primitive, did not work. There were several scratches and other defects on the walls that need to be repaired. The ceiling vent in the bedroom was filled with dust and also loose, hanging down part way. The location is great, with good access to the stroll and the lifts, but on the whole, I felt this was over priced.
