Property Description

 The condo is all on one level.

We're a skiing family, so we know the importance of space for your stuff,
plenty of places to hang your gear and keeping all the boots and gear in
the entrance. Here goes the layout description!

 

Entrance - Walk in to a tiled floor. On your left is a wall of
hooks, cubbies and shelves for your cloths and gear. On your right is an
alcove with a bench, more hooks & shelves, and a private laundry area . The
laundry machine is an all in one condensation washer/dryer (you sophisticated Europeans know what I mean...it's an LG, so it's decent). Put your
laundry in it, in the morning and come home to clean & dry clothes at night.


Kitchen - Keep walking 4 steps and the kitchen is on your right.
Yeah-it's got 80's appliances, cupboards and countertops, but hey--the
80's were cool! (we're 45 years/old). Everything else about the kitchen &
it's stuff will be fully loaded and modern....because we LOVE  to cook and
eat in. The surfaces may be the 80's, but they have no problem holding up 90+ point wines-which are much more affordable in your own pad ;)


Dining Area - It seats 5-6. Sit around the table & apres with the cook!

 

Living Room - Straight ahead from the hallway/kitchen & dining area
is the living room. It's got a gas fireplace, large flat screen TV& iPod
docking station. It seats 4 people on a large couch and chair. Look
straight on the large window into a gorgeous forest. No noise, no people, no cars..no buildings...just a big ole rainforest on the side of the mountain ;)


Deck - The deck is off the living room through some sliding doors.
Walk out to a quiet forest.


Bedroom #1(Queen Bed): - Turn left from the hallway> the
first bedroom is on your right. It has a high quality queen size tempurpedic bed, 2
night tables, a small closet with shelves, wall hooks and sliding doors on
to the deck. Yep - it's small, but functional and very comfy.


Bathroom #1: Across the hall from Bedroom #1 is a small bathroom.
The vanity portion is open, not enclosed. The toilet and shower portion is
private & enclosed behind a door. The shower and toilet area is small -
but functional.


Bedroom #2 (Queen + Single): Keep going down the hall and you
arrive to Bedroom #2. . It's the largest
bedroom and has an ensuite bathroom. It's also got a large flat screen
TV/DVD player, desk, dresser and large closet. Tip: It's up to you, but we put
the kids in this room and use the beds as twins. They've got their own
space to hang out, watch movies and play video games..and do HOMEWORK!
Giving them the bigger bathroom & bedroom means that they keep all their stuff in
their own space. It's a minor point, but when your place is 780 sq ft, it makes a difference to common area space. That leaves the living room and dining area as your quiet adult domain ;)

Ski-Out Access - It's immediately across the street from the ski-out down to the Wizard Chair.

 

Ski- In Access - Take your skis off and walk 50 paces downhill to the building.

 

Free Shuttle to the Gondola Base & Village - The free Village shuttle stops right outside your door and takes you to the Village Base where you load onto the Whistler or Blackcomb gondolas. The shuttle comes by every 8-10 minutes in the winter an every 15 minutes in the summer. You can walk to Blackcomb Base in less than 10 minutes.

Adults - Min Age to Stay: 26 Adults must be at least 26 years old. Underage adult guests must be accompanied by qualifying adults. Proof of age is required at check-in. Access will be denied to underage guests, without a refund. Proof of age of all occupants may be required by Owner upon booking. Failure to provide documentation will result in reservation cancellation without a refund . The Owner may make exceptions at their discretion. ID is required at check-in.
Babies, Kids & Teens We welcome kids!.
Long Term Renters (Monthly) We welcome stays longer than 28 days. Contact us first because your booking will be GST-exempt.
Non-Smokers Only This is a non-smoking unit. Fines of $500 for smoking in the room.
People with Restricted Mobility Our building has elevators and approximately 3 easy stairs to the unit.

Guest Identification Documents To verify your identity & age, all new Guests must supply 2 pieces of scanned documentation at the time of booking or 48 hour s prior to arrival. At least 1 piece of ID must include a photo. At least 1 piece of ID must show your current mailing address, phone number & date of birth. Your name, mailing address and phone number in your booking details, must match your scanned ID. If you are making the booking for someone else, please do the booking under their name and provide their ID. At my discretion, I may also request a scan of the front of your credit card. You can mask out the last 10 digits. I must see the name and the first 6 digits.
Arrival Days Arrival days are flexible.
Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued for rebooked dates at the re-booked price.
Courtesy Hold Reservations We don't hold reservations without payment.
Delayed Arrivals There are no refunds for late or delayed arrivals.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Delivered via email with your balance of payment/final payment.
Guest Stay Contract You agree to these policies when you book online.
Late Reservation Payments Will result in cancellation without a refund. Dates can be re-booked if they are still available.

Guest Stay Policies

Policies:
Bike Storage Available in the garage area. Bikes aren't allowed in the condo.
Check-In Time 4:00 pm for all days except Sundays. Sunday check-in time is 7 pm. Flexible depending on arrival day except Sundays- check with us!
Check-Out Time 10:00 am. Late check outs may be requested except for Fridays. Check with us to confirm!
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Please respect your neighbours between 10 pm and 8 am. Guests may be fined on the spot by security if in violation of noise rules after 10 pm.
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for removing garbage to the disposal area. Information is provided at check-in.
Housekeeping Provided before arrival and after departure, and on every 6th day. Additional housekeeping is available on request at your expense.
Internet Availability & Usage Wireless internet is complimentary. No illegal downloads are allowed on this service.
Liability Guests hold Owners harmless for any personal or property damage or theft of personal items while in the property, at Wildwood Lodge or on any Whistler property.
Maintenance Emergencies
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 6 people maximum.
Missing Items Guests will be held accountable for missing items and will be charged from their damage deposit.
Noise Restrictions The property has noise bylaws after 10 pm. You will be fined on the spot by security if your party is disrupting other guests.
Property Damage Guests will compensate the Owner financially for all property damage caused by the Guest or anyone in their party.
Rental Accommodation Zoning We are zoned for nightly rentals.
Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage In the designated area off the garage. Please do not bring equipment into the home. Damage or excessive cleaning will result in extra charges.
Terms of Eviction Guests who do not meet these policies or who are disturbing other building tennants will be evicted by security.

  We're a ski freak family, so we know how expensive skiing/riding/mountain trips can be-especially for families. We also know how important it is to  have a great, fun, clean and top-located place to stay, sleep and have a blast while you're doing it. 

 

  We love Whistler & walk in your shoes - so we offer our simple home to you & your group as a way to make your Whistler dream happen too.

 

 So, other than the dated decor & appliances, why is it so affordable? We bought our home not as a for-profit investment, but as a for-love, memories and heartbeats life.

  We are a skiing family of 3. We come to our place every weekend in the winter. Wayne (Chartered Accountant) & Sue (Ph.D scientest & now founder & CEO of alluraDirect.com) are 45 years old. Our daughter Julia is 11.   alluraDirect.com, which was founded with our 1st Whistler pad in 1997 out of a love the mountains, Whistler and what seemed like an impossible dream of owning our own place there. We've bought, upgraded and sold 3 other places in Whistler and Big White ski resorts over the last 15 years. We've befriended and hosted 100+ very satisfied guests.  

 

We bought this "new" old home in April 2009. We'll be upgrading it alot over time.   In the meantime we've added lots of great personal perks to make it really comfortable and functional. It's a simple and fun place that we want to share with others who also love hanging out in the mountains and who need an affordable and comfortable way to do it.

The condo at Sun Path suited all of our anticipated needs. It was fully furnished, clean and comfortable. Both bedrooms were roomy and afforded comfortable, quiet sleeps. Both bathrooms afforded couples privacy and independence. The kitchen was well equipped. The lighting in the main eating area, the living room and kitchen was less than adequate and certainly could be updated as there was many dark areas. Access to the hot tub was easily accessed as was the underground parking. The free shuttle to the ski lift zone was right outside our property perimeter. The condo was close to all amenities. We would definitely rent this property again.

My wife and I accompanied our two teenage sons to Whistler BC, where they attended a snowboarding camp. We wanted a condo vs a hotel due to greater space and economics. After EXTENSIVE research for accommodations, we arranged to stay at the Ski Pad. WOW - What a great decision! First off, Sue could not have been nicer, friendlier, and more accommodating. Communications were excellent. She answered a number of questions, and made more than a few recommendations regarding our stay. The Ski Pad is not 'large', however it easily accommodated 4 adults. We followed Sue's suggestions on use of storage space, and had absolutely no issues with moving around indoors. The unit was VERY WELL STOCKED with everyday items like soaps and paper products. The kitchen and pantry had more spices than we could imagine. It allowed us to do some 'creative cooking' while we were there. The washer/dryer combo meant our boys could leave each morning for snowboarding camp with CLEAN - DRY clothes! What a benefit! The Ski Pad is located at Wildwood. The unit is located on the back side of the complex - VERY QUIET. It was literally a 5 minute walk from the front door to the Blackcomb Base, where the boys got their chairlift to the mountain. It was another 5-7 minute walk to the main village. Location could NOT have been more convenient. Parking at the Marketplace was easy, and free for two hours. While the boys were at camp, my Wife and I ventured to Pemberton, Squamish Valley, and Furry Creek, to shop, sight see, and play golf. All are within an hours drive one way. The scenery along the way CANNOT be imagined! Throughout our trip we heard the Canadians profess "No Worries". We lived that in Whistler, at the Ski Pad, and would HIGHLY recommend it . Thank you again Sue for the wonderful experience!

The Stone Ski Pad is awesome. Stayed there in the summer '12. Did hiking and cycling. Enjoyed the Peak to Peak ! The location is excellent; we walked everywhere including both Villages, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. Access to the paved walking path is right across the street. No car needed. There is also great hiking out the back side. The condo backs up onto the woods and is very comfortable, clean and quiet. Lots of windows and a deck to enjoy the view. Private and secure. Updated including comfortable beds. The owner, Sue, is very organized and wonderful to work with; quick replies to all emails and offered many helpful suggestions. Even called our first day there to see how everything was going. This is a great rental for families and/or friends.

We had a great week at the "Ski Pad”. I was able to get up early and relax on the balcony with my coffee while the rest of the family slept in. I even used the waffle maker to make waffles a couple of mornings. That was a hit. This place has everything you need for a great vacation in whistler. Too many little touches to describe make this feel like home as soon as you walk in.

This unit was exactly as promised. A great location for people who want to be a little "away" from the heart of the village. A nice (but not large) pool with hot tub. Great amenities in the unit. The owner was beyond friendly and did everything possible to accomodate including referring a nearby suite for friends and following-up to ensure that our friends had also found a place to stay.

We didn't want to leave!

We had a fantastic time at the Stone Family Ski Pad! We were able to fully relax in this clean, comfortable, and well stocked condo. The kitchen was so well stocked we made almost all our healthy, delicious, inexpensive meals. We even used the bread maker to treat ourselves to some honey whole wheat bread! We spent a lot of time on the back deck, relaxing and grilling. Each morning we used the pool and hot tub and each night our when our kids went to bed we would use the apple TV to rent a movie and relax. Whistler offered so many activities for our family (we have a four-year-old and two-year-old). We biked around Lost Lake, went on two easy but beautiful hikes, and enjoyed the village. We could not have asked for a better place to stay! Thank you so much!

A compact apartment that has been very well designed by owners who use it themselves most weekends.They leave all their stuff there and trust you to use it sensibly. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, nice sitting and eating areas. The en-suite bedroom has1 large and one single bed: the second bedroom has use of the separate shower / toilet. 3 Tv's! The building's communal hot tub is a floor away.(Also a swimming pool for the summer months) It's in a well-run building (Wildwood Lodge) with covered parking, and a free bus stop just outside. It's in a quiet part of the resort and would probably best suit families or couples who want to enjoy the outdoors by day and enjoy dinner, games or a DVD in the evening. The Blackcomb base is a 6 minute walk across Spearhead Road and along a pedestrian track.

My husband & I love this ski pad. We checked in late on Friday night and we had no problems getting into the property. When inside, we found an immaculately clean condo fully equipped with amenities and useful spots for storage. The pantry was thoughtfully stocked with cereal, salad ingredients and snacks - and the kitchen had all the utensils I could possibly need to whip up a home-cooked meal if we didn't feel like spending money eating at another restaurant. The pad is clean and furnished beyond what I'd expect from a good hotel, and yet it feels like home. It has colorful paintings on the walls by local Whistler artist Cori Ross and it's got thoughtful touches beyond 2 large flatscreens & cable tv - like candles, lots of shelf space for my stack of books, in-suite laundry, tons of hooks for our jackets, towels, etc. - and best of all is the tempurpedic bed that I wish I could take with me. The pad has 2 bedrooms, so there was plenty of space for me and my husband but I think it would still be comfy and cozy for a small family. We can't wait to go back to do some skiing - it's a great location right by the aspens without paying aspens pricing. We didn't get around to using the hot tub but are looking forward to it next time, after a day on the slopes!

I have stayed at this property twice now and I'm sure I will come back again! The location is fantastic (Ski in/out) and there are two flat screens TVs, a BBQ, private laundry, and a hot tub. As well, the condo is always very well stocked with all sorts of kitchen supplies.

We love this cozy condo in the upper village of Whistler. The location is one of the best... 5 minutes to slope side on blackcomb. There are many amenities included in this pad. The huge flat screen TVs are great for watching movies. The kitchen has everything I could ever need to make a great meal and the new fridge sure keeps the beer cold.
