We are located on the slopes of Whistler, Creekside. Ski in/ski out at the Dave Murray Olympic downhill run and ski to base of Creekside. Upload at Creekside and ski over to Blackcomb. Peak to Peak gondola will be operational in 2008/2009 ski season to make it even more appealing!
We are located at Taluswood Place in The Bluffs development.

We are a family of five that have enjoyed Whistler for many years and decided to make it our "home away from home". The views, peaceful surroundings, ski in, ski out access to the slopes and the nature at our doorstep were all factors that sold us on the development. With only mere minutes to the Creekside and Whistler villages we are able to experience all that Whistler has to offer, yet enjoy the "get away from it all" experience that The Bluffs are famous for. We would like to share with you this experience and hope you will have a memorable stay in our vacation home.

This was a very modern and clean condo in a great location with an easy walk to skiing. The slope you can access is the Dave Murray Downhill, which is quite steep so if anyone in your group is not a strong skier, then you should not count on skiing this one to return to the condo. Instead you'd need to arrange transportation to get back because there is no free shuttle to this location. But for good skiers, this location can't be beat. I would highly recommend renting from Pia as she was super helpful, responsive and very accommodating. The beds were comfortable with luxurious linens that you rarely find in a rental. The kitchen was well equipped with spices and even plastic wrap. Thanks for a great stay!
My only complaint has nothing to do with this condo, but I would not recommend buying the lift tickets through the Alluradirect.com website because they messed up my tickets and it took 45 minutes with guest services to get it straightened out (although my friend had problems booking hers through whistler.com so maybe all of the sites are problematic).

Great value Whistler retreat

This is a very nice property and presents just as pictured. The owners were very responsive to inquiries and questions. Having searched many properties for our vacation purposes, I have to say that this is a very good value given the quality and size of the property in comparison to others that I looked at which appeared to be of comparable quality. The kitchen was very well furnished for just about any type of meal preparation you would want to undertake.
The book in the unit provided lots of helpful information regarding amenities as well as recommendations for activities and restaurants. This property is on the Creekside location as opposed to the Whistler Village, so if you are looking for the activity of the Village and walkability, this may not be the place! We enjoyed the quiet and serenity and the beautiful views from the condo. There is no direct bus access from the unit, but it was easy to get a cab to the village for about $10.00 each way. You can park down at Creekside and take a bus, but if there are a few of you a cab is the best bet because the bus is $2.50 per person.
Another plus to this unit is the availability of parking. We had a rental car and had another couple come up from Vancouver with their vehicle and their was plenty of parking, which I had noticed was not the case with other units I looked at. The ski in-ski out is just a short walk and easy to navigate.
The map shows that the access run is a black run, but don't be intimidated by that....it was groomed everyday we were there and a strong beginner should be able to do it. Overall, I would highly recommend this unit and the interactions with the owners.View Full Review Owner Has Responded

This property was very accurately described and met or exceeded all our expectations. The communication from the owners was superior as reminders were sent and there was a personal follow-up email making sure that everything was to our satisfaction upon arrival.
The condo is beautifully equipped and seemed spacious with 6 of us staying there. The heated tile floors in the kitchen were great and the view from the living room was fantastic. The hot tub was a 2 minute walk from the condo and each day after skiing we met new folks there who were enjoying the mountain as we were.
Whistler Backcomb is an awesome mountain with excellent facilities and service. If you're used skiing Colorado/Utah however, you need to visit understanding that you are going to a coastal climate and the weather conditions vary throughout the day and depending on where you're at on the mountain. Snow conditions are also completely variable. I have spent 10 days skiing Whistler on 2 separate trips and have yet to experience something other than soft wet snow on the bottom of the mountain. That is the reality of skiing Whistler - spring conditions on part of the mountain year round. Staying in the higher elevations is the solution to this but the downside is I don't feel I have truly experienced the lower half of the mountain. Once you wrap your head around this and go with the flow you'll have an amazing trip.

White Christmas magic

We had our fist ever white Christmas at Whistler and loved staying at The Bluffs. It is a beautiful apartment with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms with welcoming touches like toiletries and candles for atmosphere... I could go in... And I have saved the best for last.... The view is just to die for- especially for travelers like us who rarely see snow! We could watch the clouds drifting through the valley and catch the glint of the sun on the peaks from our balcony and living room windows. Just magical! It snowed all but Christmas Day which for us was just amazing.
We felt private enough to be able to sleep with our curtains open so we could wake to the sight of snow falling and the complex is whisper quiet. The hot tub is hot and the view from there spectacular as well. Though it is a ski in ski out property we were unable to take advantage of this - not being skiers! - but we did note where it is and imagine it would be great if you could ski!!
We walked to the bus stop in the snow on a few occasions and rode that to Whistler, Creekside and Function Junction. Taxis were an added cost for us as we did not have a car - I think a car would be an advantage but we didn't find it much of an inconvenience and the cost of taxis was less than it would have been to hire a vehicle. For travellers or holiday makers who appreciate lovely surroundings, beautiful views, privacy and quiet, this is a great place to stay. If you like to be away from it all, this is your place!
Pia and Mel even added Christmas decorations including lights at the entrance that added to the magic of our visit. The chocolates and card on arrival, the snowman candles and Christmas themed napery and decorations throughout the home were lovely touches. Thank you! We would highly recommend staying here and if our daughter is still in Canada in the future, we will certainly have this at the top of our list.
The only recommendation I could make is to provide an iPod dock or speaker system to enable us to play our music. While we could play CDs, we don't travel with them - or if I was to return I would bring a portable speaker with me. A small thing that doesn't detract in any way!View Full Review Owner Has Responded

We stayed in this unit the end of June beginning of July, 2015. It was terrific! The unit was clean, comfortable, well equipped and easy to find. The view was spectacular and wonderful to wake up to each day. The owners were responsive and welcoming.
There was a heat wave in Whistler when we were there and there was a fan available in every room. I would suggest folks closing the blinds in the dinning and living room before leaving for the day, as the afternoon sun can warm the place up a bit. Overall, as wonderful, wonderful stay! This was a comfortable and well-maintained property with modern amenities and great views. The owners had recently changed cleaning services, which resulted in a few minor issues (slightly delayed check-in; some supplies not replenished), but they were extremely responsive and rectified all issues quickly. The ski in/out designation is subject to interpretation. There is easy access (a few hundred meters walking - but not skiing as far as I could tell) to the Creekside Gondola lift-line. But one does need to ski down the lift-line trail to access the Gondola. Depending on the snow conditions the difficulty level of this trail can be either intermediate or expert, which was problematic for the beginners in our group (we ended up having to drop them off and pick them up by car at the bottom of the mountain). Ditto for getting back to the condo (which also requires some walking). On the positive side, I spoke to a couple of longtime season ticket holders who told me that access to the mountain via the Creekside Gondola is much easier than in Whistler Village, which tends to be much more crowded with long lines during peak times. Our wait times at the Gondola were minimal, so this is a plus. The location is a short drive from both Creekside Village and Whistler Village so not ideal for those who want to be walking distance from restaurants, nightlife, shopping, etc., but perfect for those who want to be a bit removed from all this.

Came up and rented this unit for a week for Ironman Canada in Whistler. Accommodations were fantastic and the top master bedroom provided for a great amount of privacy for those who need their sleep! Just a 5 minute drive from Whistler village, so easy to access the town. Would definitely stay here and recommend to others!

We had a great time staying at this beautiful ski in/ski out location. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the layout very convenient for our group. We were pleasantly surprised to see the kitchen so well stocked with everything you need to prepare full meals, including large sized containers and prep bowls. The view from this place is beautiful, the best view of the mountain tops and lake. The owner was very accommodating and responded quickly, including when we needed some extra supplies. We enjoyed using the hot tub as well, which was very clean and roomy. The ski runs leading to this place are actually a lot of fun - nice long runs and not crowded at all. We drove to Creekside base and Whistler base just to explore and found them a quick drive away. I definitely recommend staying here and would choose this place again.

This was our first family skiing holiday. We rented the apartment over Christmas and New Year and were welcomed with a Christmas tree and decorations and a bottle of wine, all of which were a fantastic touch and indication of the attention and care of the owner. The house has every possible appliance that you can hopefore. It has a beautiful view and cozy atmosphere. The loack-up garage is very convenient and the slopes are easily accessed from the house. The house has an electronic key at the frontdoor which facilitates easy bookin/out and access for all family members. My kids said this was their best holiday ever. Thank you Mel and Pia.

We stayed at Taluswood Unit#19 for three nights in March. The place is very clean and modern (nicely appointed), had all the amenities we were looking for and everything worked as promised. The views were spectacular and the ski in ski out, although not right to the door was a short walk, so pretty convenient. The owners were very nice and accommodating and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. A couple of very minor cons: 1) The foyer area is small and not great for storing gear, so if you have more than four people skiing/boarding that space is going to get very cramped, very fast. Also you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the main level so this may be inconvenient for the infirm or elderly. 2) The hot tub is communal and you need to walk about 250-300 ft to get to it - we had mild weather so it was a minor hassle but this would be a definite deterrent on a very cold day. 3) The hot tub jets did not work during our three-day stay, not a tragedy but you'd think the facility people could have rectified it within 24 hrs. 4) The living/dining area is not particularly large - fine for 3-4 adults but it would have been uncomfortable for 5-6 in my opinion. 5) Both showers (ensuite and main floor) are the standard tub and shower type so if you're hoping for the separate shower stall experience, you won't get it but water pressure was good and hot water was abundant. These were definitely not show stoppers for us as we were there mainly to ski/board and the conditions were awesome! The place offered great value for what we wanted and I would stay here again.

First and foremost I must say that the owners of 19 Bluffs were fantastic and that the condo is great. The location is super easy for ski/in ski/out and it has all the amenities that you would want. Hopefully we will be back next year and this is the place we will be renting.
