Property Description

From the back ( ski hill side ) of the building, two stairs take you to our deck and front door. The heated entrance room can hold your outdoor boots and coats.  The main living area is open concept with living room, dining room, eating bar and kitchen. This maximizes the space and lets you enjoy the view regardless of your activity. 

The living room boasts rock fireplace, couch and comfortable chair. A large window faces south for great light.   Direct mountain and Silver Queen lift view. Quality TV/DVD and VCR for your down time. The dining room seats 6 at a solid pine table. From there, enjoy the fireplace and mountain view.  The well designed kitchen offers a eating bar for 3, full stove, oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer and many small electric appliances.

Light floods into the master bedroom via the large window. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, 2 end tables, dresser, stereo and double closet.  Access is through  the hall, or by opening the double sliding doors into the living room - allowing you to expand the space.

A beautiful tiled bathroom is easy to access between the two bedrooms. The shower and toilet have a pocket door and can be locked off from the vanity area.

The second room has a combo bunk bed - double on bottom and single on top, with a closet, dresser, TV/DVD and book case.

Well stocked kitchen provides all the tools needed for a great meal after the day on the hill. Quality pots and pans, new dishes/ silverware for 12,  microwave, oven and stove are full size and a dishwasher to free your time. Dish detergent, hand soap, coffee filters, paper towels, napkins and some basic dry goods provided.  Good lighting, tile backsplash and clean cooking area will make it easy to whip up meals. Plastic glasses provided for taking a beverage to the hot tub.

Living Area

Open concept  room faces south for maximum light exposure.  Beautiful stone fireplace with cozy furniture, warm lighting and gorgeous decor will make you feel relaxed and at home.  Sit on the couch and view the mountain ski runs thru the large living room window.


Dining Area

Dining room easily seats 6 with 3 additional seats at the eating bar.  Solid wood pine furniture in the open concept floor plan lets you enjoy the fireplace and view of the mountain. Eating bar beside kitchen gives you a chance to sit and chat with the cook!

Special Features

Great ski in/out access, at the top of the trails for Nordic cross country skiing and beside Tube Town or outdoor ice skating. Easy walk to the village for dinner or a browsing the many shops. Enjoy the shared games room, full kitchen and hot tub (winter only) with other outdoor enthusiasts. Bike or hike the trails during the summer season.

Centrally located on the mountain, minutes to Tube Town, outdoor ice skating, cross country skiing and at the base of the Silver Queen chair - everything is at your feet.  A short 10 minute walk to the village for shopping, dining, and rentals.

25kms to Vernon for anything you might require beyond the facilities of the mountain stores. Several wonderful quilt shops, outdoor stores, movie rentals, golf and specialty stores, movie theatre, wineries and several great restaurants.

70km to Kelowna (less to the International Airport), for expanded shopping and services.

Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit payments are non-refundable.Balance of payment (75%)will be 90% refunded IF a new reservation fills the cancelled booking. There is a 10% cancellation fee applied to any refunds. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products.

Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by due date will result in automatic cancellation. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be recharged.

Guest Stay Policies

Bike Storage Within the entrance room only.
Check-In Time 4:00 p.m. Early check in may be possible at a $35.00 charge.
Check-Out Time 10:00 a.m.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Beyond daily use/ wear. Will be charged at $30.00/ hour plus any equipment rentals required.
Excessive Noise Excessive noise which disturbs others in the building is prohibited and will result in eviction with no rental refund.
Housekeeping Housekeeping is provided prior to arrival and after departure. Guests are expected to clean the kitchen and dishes prior to departure, but not to launder the linens.
Internet Availability & Usage Wireless internet .
Liability We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.
Locking Door Coded access provided prior to arrival.
Maintenance Emergencies Contact information provided to paid guests.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 7 persons.
Missing Items Will be deducted from the damage deposit at replacement costs.
Noise Restrictions Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am.
Parking & Ticketing Parking pass for one guest vehicle. Pass MUST be left with the condo, otherwise a 25.00 charge will be charged to the guest.
Property Damage Guests will pay for all damage incurred while the guest is staying in the property, even if the offender is being hosted by the guest.
Rental Accommodation Zoning My property is legally zoned for either short term or long term rental accommodation use.
Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage In the heated entrance room of the condo. Please be gentle on our walls!
Terms of Eviction Eviction for excessive noise, property damage, and disturbing the peace. Rent will be forefitted.

Local Tips

About Us

We LOVE Silver Star mountain!!  Our two daughters ( 6 and 10) are great skiers and love being able to ski from our door. Tube town and skating are a favorite evening activity. Rick has started mountain biking in the summer - though we haven't joined him yet.

Silver Star is our preferred mountain due to the multi-season activities.  In the winter you can ski, snowboard, cross country ski, snowshoe, use Tube Town or ice skate.  In the summer you can mountain bike or hike the trails. And the wine festivals, of course, you are in Wine country.  We looking forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you. Hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Condo is exactly as described, and is quiet and comfortably appointed. Owners are exceptionally responsive, and add thoughtful extras like condiments, tea, and a fruit basket. Internet works well. Parking lot is kept well cleared of snow.

Mountain to Beach Summer Vacation

Our family spends the last week of June in the Okanagan every year. This year we decided to try something new and stay at Silver Star. Having lived in Vernon before we new it was a easy 20 min drive up the mountain and that it would add another dimension to our holiday. We had the benefit of both a beach and mountain holiday at less then half the cost of staying at one of the beach resorts. The condo was perfect for a family. Our kids loved the bunk beds and having their own TV in their room to relax with at the end of an active day. Us parents enjoyed having our own TV too!! The condo was clean and well stocked with all the basics that you end up needing (oil,butter,spices,napkins,and the all important stain remover for clothes) Diane even left a fruit basket for us! One thing we were pleasantly surprised with was the beach/camp chairs left in the unit. With all our luggage, there was no room left for us to bring ours along on the road trip. That was a huge help for us on our beach days. Diane promptly got back to us with any questions we may have had before booking and was just as prompt after we made our reservation. We would recommend a stay at this condo.

Perfect location for ski in and ski out. The kitchen is very well stocked, spices, tea, coffee, coffee filters, condiments, saran wrap, Tupperware all available. The owners left us a lovely gift basket upon arrival with treats. The hot tub was close by and never crowded. Linens were plenty and all bedding was very comfortable (even the pull out sofa bed). The owners were easy to contact and gave excellent details and instructions prior to our arrival.

I probably should add I'm not into skiing or winter activities and we rented the condo because of the amenities to have a romantic vacation. When we arrived we were stunned at how much space we had. A big screen TV, a stove and fridge. All the amenities were there we asked for, candles spices etc. Dianne was very helpful when i had questions. Unfortunately the phones didn't work due to being slightly outside Vernon, so I had to rely on my cell phone. I also had trouble with garbage. Since i wasn't a resident i had trouble navigating the mountain to find the place to drop off garbage. I did see a self service recycling place. All admit i forgot to ask a bit more questions so I'm more to blame for not knowing stuff. We had an issue with a residents dog outside blocking the way to the car and barking loudly and Dianne sent someone right deal with it. I think many of the residents ignore the rule about pets because a few days later someone was chasing their dog from lunging at me. It annoyed me greatly.Anyways this place is great Dianne is very helpful with questions if need be and responds fairly quickly. I will be returning in the future when making plans.

A Mountain to Beach Summer Vacation

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay at this condo. The owner was prompt with our enquiries and the whole process was easy. The condo was well laid out for a family and very comfortable. Our kids who normally only want the Okanagan beaches had their first mountain biking experience while staying at Silver Star and were hooked! If looking for a fun filled summer vacation and nice accomodations we would recommend this condo at Silver Star.
