Welcome to the 'Snowman Suite'.  This is my families private suite which has been decorated in a Snowman theme, we proudly offer our suite to you and your family to enjoy.  Located Slopeside on Blackcomb, this ground level one bedroom suite provides complete privacy and quiet, yet it has a wonderful view of the ski slope and is only doors away from the community hot tub, heated pool and exercise room.  This is true ski in/ski out.  You can watch the skiers on Whistler and Blackcomb mountain right from the living room couch or the private patio.   This one bedroom suite provides a fully-equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, sleeping for 4, private patio with view of the ski slope, new comfortable overstuffed living room furniture , large 42" HDTV in living room and 32" HDTV in bedroom with Blu-ray/DVD/CD players, FREE wireless internet, private security safe in suite and many other upgrades.  We have provided all the luxuries of home and hope you will enjoy our suite and enjoy your visit to Whistler/Blackcomb.   Discounted Rates by Owner

Living room with all new overstuffed furniture and a trunk coffee table. Slider to deck that overlooks the ski slope. Sofa is a sleeper bed with a built in air mattress, so it is very comfortable. This suite faces directly into the trees at the edge of the forest, but when you are sitting on the couch you have wonderful view of mountains and ski slope.

 Property Description

Our "Snowman Suite'  is located on the ground floor, near the snow, so there are no hassles with stairs or elevators.  When you enter our suite, the kitchen is on the right and the dining area and living room are straight ahead.  The living room has a sliding glass door to the covered private patio that has wonder view of the ski slope and the surrounding mountains. On the  left side of the living room is the master bedroom with a king bed and a  bath with a deep soaking tub.   There is a queen size sleep sofa in the living room with built in air bed (very comfortable).  The suite sleeps 4 people. There is a 42" HDTV in the living room with Blu-ray/DVD/CD player and a 32" HDTV in the bedroom with a CD player.  There is a personal safe in the master closet to protect your valuables and it is large enough to hold a 17" laptop.  There are board games and puzzles in the living room trunk.  Please view our photo gallery.

Living Area

Warm comfortable living room with new sleeper sofa and large chair.  Sleep sofa has a built in air mattress, so it's as comfortable as a normal bed; great for your back.  Gas fireplace with hooks below the mantel so you can hang up your wet hats and gloves.  There are 2 reading lamps, a  42" LCD high def TV, Bluray/DVD/CD player, FREE wireless internet, IHOME AM/FM stereo with docking station.  Wood floors and fresh paint.  We have decorated this room in a Snowman theme with many personal hand-crafted items made by family members.  Enjoy the colorful decorations and the warm ambiance.  There is a sliding glass door which leads to the private, covered patio with a wonderful view of the Blackcomb and Whistler ski slopes.  You can watch the skiers right from the living room couch, yet this room has total privacy and is very quiet.  

Dining Area

Large kitchen table that seats 6 people.   The housekeeper will have the the table set with our colorful dishes when you arrive, so it will be ready for your family dinner.

This suite is extremely private location and is on the edge of the forest, but it also has a wonderful view of the both Blackcomb and Whistler ski slopes.  You can watch the skiers from the living room couch or the private deck.  We proudly offer it to you and your friends to enjoy.

Decor Beautifully decorated with many hand-crafted items (in a snowman theme). Warm wallpaper in the bedroom, kitchen and bath. Lots of color in the suite. This suite has a cozy, country feel to it.
Fireplace Gas fireplace creates a beautiful ambiance. There are hooks under the mantel for drying wet gloves and hats.

This building has a beautiful, cozy lobby with a large fireplace and comfy seating.  The front desk is open 24 hours and resort information and guest services.  The Lobby contains a coffee stand,.  There is a small ski shop off the lobby which provides convenient ski rentals and supplies.   The guest lounge off the lobby has a large big screen TV, books and DVD's are available to rent at the front desk.

Our "Snowman Suite'  is located in the Aspens on Blackcomb, which is  slopeside at the base of the main chair of Blackcomb mountain.  It is one of the best locations in Whistler.  The Aspens is a "U" shaped building with a large courtyard that contains a year-around heated outdoor pool and 3 hot tubs.    At the opening of the courtyard is the Blackcomb ski slope, you can ski directly from the courtyard.  After the day's skiing, just ski into the courtyard and hand your skis to the complimentary ski valet for over night storage and/or waxing.   The Aspens is located on the benchlands of Blackcomb which is a quiet family area away from the noise of the village and the night life.   If you want to enjoy the activies of  Whistler village, it is just a  5 minute walk or you can take the free shuttle.     Our suite is located on the ground floor  near the ski slope, but it is very private and quiet with a geogeous view of the mountains and skiing.

Suitability & Eligibility Policies

Suitable For:
Adults - Min Age to Stay: 25 At least one member of the party booking & staying in this property must be 25 years of age or older. Violations of this policy (without owner approval) will result in eviction. Evicted guests will NOT be entitled to refunds.
Babies, Kids & Teens Children and baby are always welcome
Celebrations & Special Events Large celebrations and special events should be held in public places, but we are always willing to share our suite with responsible adults and families who will respect our suite.
Groups Renting Multiple Properties Groups that rent multiple properties are always welcome. We request that you don't take any items from our suite to other suites or common areas. Everything in this suite belongs to the owner, and if items are taken to other areas, they will not be returned to our suite and will not be available for the next guest to enjoy.
No Smoking Inside - Smoking Outside Permitted No smoking is allowed inside the suite. Please properly dispose of your cigarette butts when smoking outside. No smoking of pot or other drugs are allowed in the suite or on the patio.
Non-Smokers Only No smoking in the suite. Absolutely no smoking in the suite, if the housekeeper dedects any inside smoking, you will be charged for additional cleaning services
People with Restricted Mobility Suite is on the ground level, no steps to enter the building, no steps or elevators to get to the suite, and no steps in the suite.
Seniors Seniors are always welcome!
Travel Reseller Bookings - no Referral Fee offered We gratefully accept & invite travel re-seller, tour operator and 3rd party bookings. We do not pay a commission on the posted rate. Please invoice the Guest directly and independently to include your fee.
Wheelchairs Suite is on the ground level, no steps to enter the building, no steps or elevators to get to the suite, and no steps in the suite.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Arrival Days Guests can arrive on any day of the week. There are no arrival days restrictions.
Cancellations Made by Guests Cancellations at any time are subject to a minimum $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will result in loss of reservation deposit and possibly loss of entire amount. If reservation is cancelled 45 days or more prior to arrival, then refunds will be limited to the amount paid less a 5% cancellation fee or $50 (which ever is more). If reservation is cancelled less than 45 days prior to arrival, every attempt will be made to reschedule the suite with another guest. For nights that we are able to reschedule with another guest, we will refund the amount that the replacement guest paid less 5% cancellation fee. Payment for nights that we are not able to reschedule with another guest, will not be refunded. Refunds will be limited to the revenue that was secured from the replacement guests, and will be paid after the arrival date. Cancellations for any reason are subject to the same refund policy.

Delayed Arrivals The building is open 24 hours, it is self service entry into the suite. No refunds or discounts for delayed arrivals.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Suite information, Door codes, Maps and Directions will be Emailed to guest approximately 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Please call if payments are going to be late. Late payments might result in cancellation of reservation and loss of deposit.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Guests also agree to not use Owner or Contact personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Owners and their Contact.
Property Sale All bookings will be preserved in the event of a property sale. If the booking is not preserved by the new Owners, the new Owners will be contractually bound to move your booking at their expense.
Reservation Changes Reservations can be changed based on our cancellation policies.

Guest Stay Policies

Policy Description
Bike Storage Please do not take bikes into the suite. Please check with the front desk for the location of the bike storage facilities. Bikes are NOT permitted in the building.
Check-In Time 4:00 pm. Door combination code will activate shortly before this check-in time, there is no access to the suite until the door code activates.
Check-Out Time 11:00 am. Door combination code will de-activate shortly after this check-out time and access to the suite will be denied.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs that are beyond the normal cleaning for a typical guest stay. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise This is a family-oriented, quiet development. Noise complaints may result in eviction by local police or security personnel. Evicted guests will NOT be entitled to refunds.
Forgotten Items by Guest If you forget items in the suite, please contact my housekeeper and give her the dates and room number. She can work with you to get your items returned.
Garbage Removal Please remove garbage from suite. Garbage room is located in small building outside the front door of the Aspens, the front desk can direct you to this location.
Housekeeping Cleaning after departure is included. In addition, guests staying 8 nights or more will receive a complimentary mid-stay housekeeping. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for a fee
Internet Availability & Usage The Aspens has wireless internet which should be available in all rooms for a fee. Free internet access is provided via an ethernet cable attached to the cable modem in the living room. No guarantee that the internet access will be compatable with your PC, there is a computer room located off the lobby with computers already set up, please check with front desk for location.
Liability The Guest doing the booking is responsible and liable for all damages for ensuring that these policies are respected and adhered to. Guest releases property owners from liability for theft or injury while in transit to the property, in the property,or on resort lands
Locking Door Instructions for the door lock is provided via email approximately 2 weeks before arrival. The door automatically locks when you leave the suite. If you get locked out, please do not expect immediate response, it might take some time for someone to come to your rescue, please be patient.
Maintenance Emergencies 24 hour front desk.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity Limited to 4 overnight people, excessive occupants (without owner approval) will result in eviction. Evicted guests will NOT be entitled to refunds.
Missing Items Guests will assume costs of replacing items that are missing or damaged upon the Guest departure. The housekeeper will notify the manager regarding missing or damaged items
Noise Restrictions Disturbing neighboring residents is prohibited. Fines will be levied on the spot to Guests who are disturbing the peace. Guests may also be evicted from the premise by the strata security company. Guests are also responsible for fines levied agains the Owner as result of noise bylaw infringements by the Guest. Normal conversation pitch is accepted. Continued screaming, yelling and/or swearing is not. Evicted guests will NOT be entitled to refunds.
Policy Updates Guests are accountable to the policies posted on my web site at the time of booking the property and are not subject to policies that were amended or added after their booking was made.
Property Damage Property damage of common or private property includes: physical damage, excessive cleaning, defacing property, excessive noise, littering, lude public behavior, missing items/theft. Guest agrees to pay for all private or common property damage caused by the Guest themselves, or a member of their party. Guests may also be evicted.Refunds will not be issued in the event of eviction. Owner reserves the right to request Guest account inactivation.
Rental Accommodation Zoning This property is zoned for nightly rentals.

Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage Please do not bring skis and boards into the suite. The strata will charge a $75 fine for each violation of this policy. Complimentary ski and board storage is provided for all Aspens guest, please use this service.
Terms of Eviction Second complaint will result in eviction by the security service.Evictions will result for excess noise, property damage, and other policy violations. Evicted guests will NOT be entitled to refunds.

Reservation Guarantee If our property is damaged & we cannot fulfill your reservation, you will be given the option to either cancel your reservation with a 100% refund or to be moved to a compariable property. If a compariable property cannot be found, then a a 100% refund will be done.

We are a skiing family.  Our children have been skiing since they were very young, and they love the variety of Whistler and the activities of the village.  We live in the Seattle area, so Whistler is only a few hours away.  Our  'Snowman Suite'  is our pride and joy and has allowed our family to create wonderful memories of our numerous ski trips.  We have decorated it  with many personal touches and have tried to provide all the luxuries of home.    We proudly offer our 'Snowman Suite' for your friends and family to enjoy, and we hope you will build wonderful memories of your visits to Whistler.

Great Location

We stayed here 3 nights to cheer a friend in the Ironman competition. The location is perfect-really close to the Upper Village, and an easy walk to the lower main village. The complex is obviously absent owner rentals and it's set up well for that. Doors are all combo-locked which made me feel more secure that extra keys weren't floating around that could open our door while we were there. The only check in required is to get a key fob and sign for pool towels. You really can't go anywhere without the key fob, which gets you out the gate to town, to the pool and hot tub, and to the gym. The unit is in a great location, close to the exit toward the village and close to the hot tub. There was very little noise, but a couple of workers that were outside our patio painting. The unit is tired and shows it's wear, but we didn't go for the decorations. The windows did not stay open, so we had to prop them open from the outside while we were there. There was no air conditioning, so it was pretty stuffy. The barbeque didn't work (the electric cord was melted from a previous use), but the owner said she'd be fixing that soon. If that's important to you, you might want to verify it's been fixed. Tv and wifi had good connections. All-in-all, it was a decent play to stay, but I might try a different unit or complex next time.

I have stayed at several aspens suites and this one was a cut above most, with a very comfortable sofa and chair set, plus a large, solid table that could easily handle six diners. The view from the outdoor deck is better than in many suites. There were a few very minor items missing: dishwashing brush and plug for the kitchen sink, but these were easily remedied. One vertical blind slat was broken. The lack of air conditioning could be a problem for those renting during hot periods.

We (family of three) spent four nights at this place and we loved it. The accommodation is well kept, with fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and very close to the pool and the slopes. We definetely plan to be back.

Perfect Ski-in, Ski-out and more

Ground floor location looking out on the slopes and Wizard Chair base area. Clean and quiet. Well equipped kitchen, extra bedding, Wi-Fi, BBQ. Lodge-style furnishings. Loved that it is just two doors down from two outdoor hot-tubs and the pool, but on the side opposite from them, so no pool area noise. A quick walk down-slope to the Upper Village shops and restaurants. Easy check-in, check-out. No problems whatsoever!

We stayed for a week and just loved the place. Great to deal with easy transaction. It was beautifully decorated and equipped. The position couldn't have been better for ski in, ski out, just a short walk down the hall and through the pool area and you're on the slope and away and just as easy at the end of the day.

Nice and clean accomodation.. Only small downside was the location.. Although ski in ski out most restaurants were in town and walking uphill after a full stomach sometimes a bit too much in the evenings.. Especially with small children.. For the rest a nice accomodation and good service/ski valet etc.. Definitely recommend it..

Not a better property in the whole town. Cozy condo steps from the hill and even closer to the hot tub! This was our sixth stay with the Herera's and we will be back!

Location was excellent Unit was clean Shower did not work. (to us that was very important as all of us prefer showers in hotels rather than a bath. Also the inflatable top matress in the sofa bed could not be inflated - so the bed was uncomofortable I had let the housekeeping know about the problems but nothing happened

Condo was great, had all we needed. Would definitely stay again. Would have been awesome if there was snow on wizard run. The only issues were, the toilet kept running a few times had to adjust the chain on lever and the clothesline in the tub was broken. (not a big deal, just thought you would want to know). ps. I am a very good building mechanic if you ever need to do some bartering.
