Property Description

Single level FOURTH floor 1,200 square foot PENTHOUSE with view to the east and south. High ceilings and Cathedral windows gives a  very light and spacious feel.  The master bedroom has private ensuite with steam shower. All bedrooms are accessed from the main living area and the main bathroom is off the corridor as you enter the condo. There is one secure parking spot and 2 secure ski lockers. The kitchen, dining and living areas are open plan with beautiful inset fireplace and wall mounted plasma TV. Access to the deck with hot tub & BBQ is from the lounge area.

A lovely, spacious open plan area with oversized lounge windows looking from the front of the Raven building, from here you can admire a truly magnificent view. A relaxing lounge area with comfortable leather sofas and chairs in front of the fire. Wall mounted large screen plasma TV above the fireplace with DVD player and selection of movies for all. There is a Stereo (I-pod compatible) and a Wii Games console with games.

Dining Area

The dining area is next to the kitchen - open plan. A beautiful large solid wood table with seating for 6. Additional seating for 4 at the breakfast bar.

Location

The Raven is a short walk away from the Happy Valley Adventure area and Lodge. Happy Valley is a perfect location, it's lots of fun and central offering many non-skiing activities including the huge outdoor Skating rink, the Mega Coaster Tube run, Cross Country skiing and much more. The Raven is a short walk to the Gondola which will take you (in just 5 minutes) to the village where you'll find many restaurants, the kids centre and the ski/board school and grocery store.

Ski-in, Ski-out - There is direct Ski-in access to The Raven and Ski-out simply requires a short across the road, or walk downhill to the Gondola depending on snow coverage.  On a good day you can put your skis on as soon as you have left The Raven entrance and crossed over the road.

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will issue a refund by cheque. Please note that your booking is made directly with the property owner who is based in the UK. Any refund of any booking fee is subject to a 30% deduction, this is to cover both credit card processing and Canadian taxes which are deducted at the point of any booking payment being made.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Standard departure cleaning is complimentary. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund. Please be considerate toward your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure. Waste disposal & Recycling containers are located on site in the parking garage.
Housekeeping Cleaning after departure is included; in addition, guests staying 10 nights or more receive a complimentary change of towels and bed sheets every 7th day. Additional housekeeping can be arranged for a fee
Internet Availability & Usage Wireless internet access is provided by a third party. We cannot be held responsible if there is a lack of or quality of service at any time.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Big White Ski Resort.
Maintenance Emergencies In resort support provided. Complete emergency contacts provided for booked guests
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 9 People. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction
Missing Items Guests authorise credit card charge for replacement of missing items. We will notify you in advance of any charges.
Noise Restrictions Quiet time is 11.00pm to 7.00am. Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for any damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11.00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11.00pm out of respect for neighbouring guests.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice, however guest will be notified via e-mail of changes prior to their arrival.
Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incured by tenants or guests & authorizes up to a $1,000.00 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment you agree to pay us for all damages that you incur. Terms of Eviction The following conditions and circumstances will result in eviction from our property: smoking, excessive noise, pets, more overnight guests than permitted by owner. You will be evicted for excessive noise, common and private property damage, disturbing the peace.

About Us

We've been taking our three kids on snow sport vacations since they were very small, so we know about the challenges of making it a great vacation for everybody. And now the kids are practically adults, we appreciate being able to range far and wide over the mountains all together, or in break-away groups.

Between us we've left snowy tracks in many countries includling France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Japan and the UK.  There are plenty of great place round the world, but Big White is our dream snow sport destination for vacations with family and/or friends. And our penthouse is the dream base. 

Everything in the resort and in our penthouse is designed to maximize pleasure time and minimize hassles.

Well it is absolutely beautiful, The view of course is amazing. The kitchen is well equipped! We brought things like tin foil, spices, coffee filters, and it was all provided! The knives are also super sharp! Bonus! The rooms are all grouped together which we were a little disappointed in , as we thought they would at least be spaced out. Hot tub view .. amazing! The elevator sucks, it is absolutely horrid. .. and there is a lot of codes to memorize. The ski in ski out is not necessarily true. It is a good location at the bottom of the hill and you are close to the gondola for a quick walk downhill, to the skating rink and tubing park and happy valley lodge. We are a group of snowboarders and could not find a route to ski ( board) in. We arrived only 1 hour early and the codes were not changed, and the emergency on call number went straight to messaging. Thankfully we found a building maintenance manager who helped us out and once the emergency number called us back, the lady was very nice. Overall the location is fine, we are young and the walking is only a slight convince after a long day of powder runs…… I personally would try a different place next time, but this one is nothing short of awesome, and as long as you are prepared from a quick walk up and down ,you will not be disappointed.

Amazing spot for family ski vacation

I have to say that we where more than pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this condo. We had finally gotten all the kids together for this vacation and when we got there we found the condo well equipped for all our needs,it was clean and very comfortable. The service we got was a phone call immediately after we checked in welcoming us to the condo. The vacation package left for us was very informative and the cookies that where left for us where more than appreciated and a nice touch. The location of this condo was perfect for us and is just a short walk from the gondola to take us to the village for the lifts. We where able to ski into our condo but that took us a day to find the way to do that. All in all we had a great vacation and will return here for another stay. The only complaint we had was on Friday night which is cheap ski night the unit beside and below us was rented to a large group of University students who where extemely noisy in the hot tub all night and very rude when we asked them to keep it down as we had a flight to catch early that morning. It would be nice to see a little more security around on the cheap night as it seems the screening for numbers in the condo were a little lax for this unit!

The condo had a few issues, such as the living room pull out couch was broken. Our youngest had to sleep on the floor next to our bed as the teenager ended up taking her bed. Also, the TV dvd sound system was not working properly.

Loved the heated cork floors!

The place was great overall - kichen especially well stocked and everything worked as it should. The hot tub was great with an awesome view and super hot temp. Would have been nice to have a little map to explain the ski-in and ski-out paths. We eventually figured it out.
