Property Description

Our home is on the 4th floor highest level with the most elevated views from the building.


Extremely spacious 2240 square foot Penthouse suite with 2 private balconies and loft.    The suite has 3 large bedrooms on the main floor, all with access to the large rear deck.   The kitchen, lounge & dining areas are open plan with access to the front deck from the lounge. 


The upper level loft area offers an open recreation space with a pool table & seating with balcony that over looks the lower level.  The bathroom with tub & shower separates the recreation and bedroom areas.  The bedroom comfortably sleeps 4 on a queen sofa bed and in single bunks, and has a wall mounted plasma screen TV.  


The 2 master bedrooms on the main level have ensuites and the main bathroom is accessed through the main entrance hall of the Penthouse. 


Two secure parking spots and ski lockers are available for guest use.

The dining area lays comfortably between the sumptuous living room and the kitchen. A beautiful large solid wood table with leather seating for family and friends holiday celebrations and gatherings.

Lofted/Cathedral Ceilings Giving much light and space


Our home is modern, stylish and very comfortable with much attention paid to detail.  There is great open living space for family time and entertaining plus areas for those who want private or quiet space. You can relax with a glass of wine on one of the two private decks, or watch the stars from your steaming hot tub. There is plenty of sofa space for relaxing around  the fire and in front of a huge wall mounted plasma TV with DVDs and PS3 games console. The loft provides a separated space and seating area with the Pool Table and a bedroom with a TV. 

If you love cooking, a fully equipped Gourmet kitchen has everything you'd have at home and possibly more along with a wet bar near the dining area for mixing drinks. There is a large dining table with comfortable leather chairs and additional bar stool seating at the breakfast bar.

This penthouse has geo thermal heated flooring throughout.  Bedrooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious with steam shower enclosures in the ensuites and a 3rd TV in one of the master suites.

Three reserved car parking spots and 2 secure Ski lockers are available for guest use.

Location & Map


The Raven is a short walk away from the Happy Valley Adventure area and Lodge. Happy Valley is a perfect location, it's lots of fun and central offering many non-skiing activities including the huge outdoor Skating rink, Mega Coaster tube rides and Cross Country Trails. The Raven is a short walk to the Gondola which will take you (in just 5 minutes) to the village where you'll find many restaurants, the kids centre and the ski/board school and grocery store.

Ski-in, Ski-out - There is direct Ski-in access to The Raven.  Ski-out simply requires leaving the building entrance and a short walk across the road or a walk downhill to the Gondola depending on snow coverage.

On a good day you can put your skis on as soon as you have left The Raven entrance and crossed over the road.

Cancellations Made by Guests All payments are non-refundable. If we can replace your booking, we will issue a refund by cheque. Please note that your booking is made directly with the property owner who is based in the UK. Any refund of any booking fee is subject to a 30% deduction, this is to cover both credit card processing and Canadian taxes which are deducted at the point of any booking payment being made.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Standard departure cleaning is complimentary. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.
Excessive Noise Complaints of excessive noise will result in eviction without refund. Please be considerate toward your neighbours
Garbage Removal Guests are responsible for garbage removal at the time of departure. Waste disposal & Recycling containers are located on site in the parking garage.
Housekeeping Cleaning after departure is included. Guests staying 10 to 20 nights receive a complimentary change of towels and bed sheets mid way thru the stay. Internet Availability & Usage Wireless internet access is provided by a third party. We cannot be held responsible if there is a lack of or quality of service at any time.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Big White Ski Resort.
Maintenance Emergencies In resort support provided. Complete emergency contacts provided for booked guests
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 15 people. Additional persons will result in immediate eviction
Missing Items Guests authorise credit card charge for replacement of missing items. We will notify you in advance of any charges.
Noise Restrictions Quiet time is 11.00pm to 7.00am. Guests may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for any damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area may be used after 11.00pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 11.00pm out of respect for neighbouring guests.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice, however guest will be notified via e-mail of changes prior to their arrival.
Property Damage Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incured by tenants or guests & authorizes up to a $1,000.00 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment you agree to pay us for all damages that you incur. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges,lost or broken or missing common or private property items,smoking inside the property, unauthorized pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupant's behavior while in the property or on common premises.

There were ten of us staying in this unit for the week. There was a lot of room and the sleeping situation was perfect. There were a few minor issues that came to light during our stay but management was quick to respond and solve the problems. There is a bit of a drainage problem with a couple of the showers but we did inform management of this problem. When we arrived there was unfinished laundry in and by the washer and dryer. Apparently our reservation was forgotten and the welcome package was for the guests arriving after us. Again management was very apologetic for this mistake.

All in all we had a fantastic time. The ski out was just a walk across the road from the front doors. Skiers have no problem with the ski out but heads up for snow boarders it's quite a bit of flatness to the Laura Gondola. Ski in you follow Happy Valley trail, make a sharp left after you go under the tunnel. You ski behind the big Cresendo house and follow the ski trail over the bridge. A sharp right, right after the bridge and this will take you right to the back door of the Raven and the ski racks. There is a steep drop off the trail though. A bit of a challenge for a beginner, but my daughter just took her skis off and butt slid down.

We've been to many different ski hills and by far Big White is our favorite now! Staying at the Raven made this a Fantastic family vacation.

We enjoyed staying here very much with 8 adults and 5 kids. There was lots of room for everyone and it worked very well. The kitchen is very well equipped. Wendy helped us out with a few things and she was great. We loved the hot tub and the kids loved the swimming pool. The skiing was great, but also did snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, skating and tobogganing. So fun! The only thing I would say is that there is some wear and tear showing and I feel we did pay a premium price.

Great Condo

Many thanks for allowing us to rent your condo. It was a highlight of our first trip to Big White along with the quality of snow !!! The condo was superbly fitting out with ample room for 3 families. Great location and a short walk to the gondola with the ability to ski in at the end of the day. The kids loved the hot tub and pool. Would highly recommend and we will certainly consider this property again when we return to Big White.

The Raven Penthouse

For the most part we enjoyed our stay at this property. However, I think that the bedrooms layouts need to be reconsidered. This condo is likely meant for 2 families but there is only 1 proper Master bedroom, which is the first room on the right - and that room is great for the first couple. The second couple is limited to sharing with the kids in the second bedroom, or alternatively staying in the small room off the kitchen ... which is what we opted for as we decided to put all the kids together in the large double bunk room with the TV. The bed in the little room off the kitchen was unfortunately horrible! And the hot-tub and air circulation unit in the closet made it a very noisy room as well. I suggest you put a better bed in this room to make it equally as comfortable/nice as the proper master bedroom and look to improve the noise issues. It was also VERY slippery around the hot tub which could be a safely hazard. I also suggest the rip in the sofa gets repaired as it does not look very nice. However, other than those points, the rest of the property is very well appointed with lots of dishes, towels etc. Lots of space for living, storage, garaging etc. We enjoyed our stay but a few improvements would have made it even better. Big White Easter Vacation

Our group consisting of 3 families (6 adults and 6 kids) had plenty of space and never felt cramped. It was large enough for us to have an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. The views from the condo are a bonus. The location was close enough to allow us to ski back for lunch and head back out to the slopes again. Although ski-out is not quite as easy....more the case of a short walk. However, we did not find this a huge inconvenience. A few minor points for us:

1. Some of the sheets were badly stained. Although they smelt clean the stains were off putting. We informed the management company who said they would delivery fresh sheets the next day. They never arrived.
2. The kitchen is fully equipped however be prepared that the oven and stove take forever to heat up.
3. Be careful of the bed frame in one room. It has 6 inches of structure protruding on each side. Enough to give me a deep gash below the knee.
4. Don't expect too much from the pool table.

However, this is just nitpicking. We all enjoyed the suite and if we come back to Big White again as a large group the Raven would definitely be up for consideration.

Incredible Condo for large groups!

We rented this condo for 4 nights over BC Family day weekend with a total of 3 families, including 6 adults and 7 children ages 2 to 7. There was more than enough space for everyone! This condo is by far the most well equipped rental we have stayed in over the last 5 years at Big White and around the world! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Lots of space for everyone to sleep, eat and play!

The only complaint we had is that there was only seating at the table for 8, so we had to eat in shifts. Even 2 or 4 extra chairs would have helped, as there was also room at the breakfast bar with stools.

The check in process was easy. Upon arrival we saw that someone else had parked in our parking spot, but a quick call to the rental manager and we were assigned a new spot. The manager was very responsive any time we had a question or concern. The location in Happy Valley was excellent. Most of our group (including our 3 year old girls) were able to ski in and ski out.

The condo was clean and beautifully furnished. The views were incredible!! Large windows on all sides afforded sunrise and sunset views, and you could sit on the couch to watch the fireworks at night! And although I did not get to use it...the steam shower in the Master Bedroom was a big hit! We will definitely try to book this condo again in the future!

I have booked my company ski trip retreat at this location for three years and this unit has consistently been a huge success with our group. Vacation Services is very helpful, and everything is ready to go quickly through a few emails.

The unit is very nice, with something for everyone including hot tubs, pool tables, video games, and large TV's.

Another great stay at the Raven!

This was our second year staying at the Raven for 4 nights. And again, it did not disappoint. Our group was 4 families (8 adults, 6 kids) and we had a bedroom and bathroom for each family. It never felt cramped for 14 people. We had plenty of room for 4 families to get ready in the morning, come back for a quick lunch and hang out in the evenings. The location was perfect. I prefer it to the Village or Snow Pines because of the proximity to Happy Valley. We could walk there to do other activities, like skating. Three things to note:

1. When we arrived, there were no dish cloths or tea towels stocked. We called during the day on the weekend to get towels and someone was at our door within 15 minutes! I expected that someone would drop it off sometime during the day, so getting that prompt response was a nice surprise.

2. I can't remember if the stove/oven didn't work well last year, but it wasn't working so well this year. There were a few times where things took longer than expected to cook (mostly the oven). It might need servicing.

3. A note on ski in/ski out. I would rate ski in as 4 stars (out of 5). It's a bit flat getting back and if you are a beginner skier (like our kids) there is a wee bit of traversing (but none of the kids complained, so I think it was manageable for them). A beginner snowboarder might have to take off their board at some parts. I would rate ski out as 3 stars. It was a little more difficult. We found the best way to go was to ski out to the Happy Valley gondola. Skiers had lots of traversing and snowboarders are best to just walk down with their boards. You can also ski out the same way you ski in, but it is ALOT more climbing.

If we decide to go back to Big White next year for our group's ski trip, we will definitely book at the Raven again.

Large Couple Retreat for New Year's Eve

A large group of us booked this penthouse condo for a 5-night stay over New Year's Eve 2015. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The penthouse checked all the boxes for a really amazing stay, including lots of space, really comfortable beds, tons of kitchen equipment for big group meals, close to the hill and Village centre and excess parking. Impressively, the management company representative, Wendy responded within minutes after hours on New Year's Even when we had building-wide issues with hot water. The issue was resolved almost immediately. Great service.

A few small things could be improved in the penthouse including more flexible, dimmed lighting. Bring your own boardgames and puzzles, be prepared to go through the bedrooms to to the back deck to access the hot tub and don't expect expert pool to be played in the upstairs lounge as the walls are very tight to the table. But overall, these small improvements didn't affect the fun we had in the penthouse or the overall experience for the 8 of us! We would fully recommend this vacation property for a similar, 30-something group of couples. Have fun!

Overall, the property was very good for our large family. Lots of space to move around. Kids enjoyed the pool as well. We found the ski out/in to be not as desirable as many of our previous Big White locations. Possibly better snow years would have improved it. Couple of kitchen issues: we had problems with the ice maker all week, and there was no slow cooker which we tend to use a lot when out all day. We appreciated the 2 decks for sunning (deck chairs needed) & hot tubbing. Our large truck fit in garage perfectly- bonus. Its great to find rentals that accommodate our large family.

Great place - 4 bedrooms - one with a queen and 2 bunk beds. Kitchen has great appliances and main room has PS3 and big screen. Washing machine with detergent there already! Super clean and looks brand new. Bbq, Hot Tub outside. Secure Garage and easy to get in and out. For Skiing it is a 2 minute drive to Happy Valley where the yellow gondola will take you into the main area for skiing/lessons etc. Ski out with little people (children not dwarves) would be a bit tough since our kids are 8 and kinda wimpy. Ski in would be pretty easy but again, we left minivan at Happy Valley. Not quite 100% ski in / ski out with kids but that is a minor quibble. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Perfect vacation home for our extended family ski vacation. We enjoyed the comfortable and spacious living room area, fully stocked kitchen, pool table in the loft, and hot tub on the balcony. After a full day of skiing and boarding we were happy to spend our evenings relaxing in this suite.

The unit was awesome and the bedding arrangements was perfect for families. Loved the bunk beds and wish there was one in each room! The only down side is that it should not be advertised as a ski in ski out property. You can't get on the slopes right from the place and although it is not a far walk, with kids under 5 it is too far.

We stayed at the Raven for my husbands birthday with our children and some friends. The unit is beautiful and has everything you would ever need except a telephone! I tried to make a phone call to the customer service regarding the bathtub (which they came and fixed no problem) but there was no phone in the unit. So I had to use my cel phone which cost alot of money. We have stayed at many condo units in our time, even acouple in the Raven and we have anyways had a telephone. Besides that the unit was great and we would stay there again.
