A hand made maple table (seats six) with maple chairs and a small round maple table (seats four) both near the kitchen island to look after hungry skiers and hikers.
past policies guests were allowed to use lower hot tubs; Owner will provide you with info on local swimming/boating(paddle only) in small lakes plus Lake windermere is only 15 KM from resort (my lane easily holds trailer for boat and is quite shallow) Hot springs at Radium and Fairmont both less than 30 KM (public)

The owner a former RCAFgroundcrew and later aircrew flew global and got the skiing bug while stationed in Baden Baden, plus a previous tour in France built the first accomodation at Panorama when there was only a T-Bar and a a rope tow. There was no electricity at the time only a generator with limited power. a coleman lantern and propane.The road was gravel and scary with logging trucks also coyotes howling at nite and lots of bear 3 years later the chalet was pulled from the hotel area by caterpillar to a river lot by Guy Messerli (one of the original owners of Panorama),many original owners stayed in Mels cabin while clearing their lots back in 1974. From olympic champions to hippies there has been ups and downs but mostly fond memories. 2 wings have been added and despite a few scratches Marg keeps it clean and we both appreciate the number of great familys who have rented and left us nice notes of how they enjoyed their stay. As seniors with grandchildren this gives us fond memories of when we were young.
