Nightly Rates are quoted in Canadian Dollars but we can also quote a rate in other denominations.  A  5% Canadian GST tax is added onto the nightly rate.  We don't charge any Hotel tax and  parking is free for 1 vehicle in the secure heated garage below our condo.   Additional parking is often available in our garage or across the street at the grocery store.   Cleaning & laundry costs have risen dramatically in Whistler and although our rates are competitive, we must now charge a  small $40 cleaning fee upon your check out.  This is deducted from your damage deposit so that we will return a net $110 of the original $150 collected with your reservation. 

When you check in, you'll have a clean condo with linens & towels plus starter supplies---toilet paper, paper towel and kitchen soaps & BBQ gas. Since the consumption of each guest varies and this is a self-catering condo, guests may need to purchase additional paper towels, toilet paper, propane and laundry soap.  Coffee, sugar, creamer, tea and spices are often available in the unit (we try to stock it several times a year) but due to re-stocking costs, we can not guarantee this for every guest.  Our cleaner can drop additional supplies or even perform a touch up clean & linen change midway through your stay for a small fee. We can also put you in touch with companies that will drop baby strollers and even groceries at the condo so that they are there waiting when you arrive.

Step right outside our patio to the --Private Hot Tub-- sheltered from wind and rain. Easy to watch kids from the living room window.   

Private entry, Spacious unit- no bottleneck like the 2 level units.  No stairs.  Free underground parking in 1 reserved space.   Our front door is entrance is just 1 min. from assigned underground parking.  Spacious entry w/storage for gear skis, bikes.   Approx 1,000 Sq. Ft. + 2 patios for summer enjoyment w BBQ and hot tub.   Bedrooms on opposite ends of the condo for added privacy.

YOUR CHOICE  of 2 Twin beds or a King bed in our 2nd "lodge bedroom".  Our matresses are pure Heaven with a 4 inch tempurpedic & down bed toppers you'll be very comfortable in.  Each bedroom has its own full bath and one has a deep jacuzzi tub.

Living Area

Most Glacier Reach units are plagued by small living rooms. We've got a great floorplan plus we mounted our wide screen tv over the fireplace so there's room to snuggle by fire, play games or lounge on big couch or leather chair --without having to store the dining table in the hall closet! Views of woods are cozy, if not expansive & patio door offers 1 step access to private hot tub-private enough to skinny dip. Kids can play outside living room patio- which is a great break for parents who want to cook or watch tv within earshot of the kids.

Special Features

We are known as Glacier Bear Suites at Glaciers Reach Condo complex and are one of the few but growing number of upgraded units here.  The complex consists of 3 buildings set in a horseshoe shape among lots of mature trees and woodsy landscaping.  Each building is 2 story and our unit is just a few steps from underground parking. We are the east building, offering an entry level, one-level unit that really maximizes space.  Many other 2 level condos have limited entry space but ours has room for coats, boots, skis, bikes and we have a boot dryer too. Our bedrooms are located separately and the 2nd bedroom even has its own entry door.  Our living room has a large leather couch, original artwork, gas fireplace, flat screen tv, free wifi. Luxurious Linens, Bear themed decor offer unique luxury you'll rarely find at other condos.  Our windows offer secluded views so you do not see your neigbhors.  Our hot tub is especially private and is under a covered deck, out of reach of the wind, out of site of all neighbors. Free wi-fi.  DVD/VCR/Cable in all bedrooms. Truly and easy stroll to Whistler Village shops & restaurants.  It takes us 8 min. to walk to Ski Lifts --- or --- you can take the shuttle accross the street from our condo complex that will drop you right off at the steps above the Gondola Ticket Kiosk. The shuttle runs every 10 mins to the lifts and will also drop you at many shops and other viewpoints. Guests will rarely if ever need their car.


We can sometimes offer you the flexibility of a 1 or 2 night stay depending on the season for a small premium.

Location & Map


Whistler Village North, easy 8 min. walk to the Whisgtler gondola, shops, etc. Or, the shuttle bus picks up directly across the street from our condo complex.

Our unit faces the quiet wooded trail, not any streets so you have a private view of the woods and mountain. 

Advantages of this location:  Whistler Village North is right at the edge of Whistler village.  The condos are quieter, units are larger and you are still a 1 min walk along sidewalks to shuttle or a 2 min walk to the grocery, movie rental.  An 8 min. walk is all it takes to get to Gondola lifts & all the central Whistler Village action. 

Compare this with the "Upper Village" that offers larger units (and prices) but do offer ski-in/out. However, these units are above the village meaning they are far enough away you will want to take a car into town to get supplies, eat out or rent gear.  "Whistler Village" downtown center is another option with many units located above the restaurants and shops.  You will save a 1-2 mins getting to the lift lines by being right in the village, but the units are smaller and you will definitely hear a lot of noise from the nightlife below.  And both the Upper Village and Whistler Village core units rarely have their own private hot tub or pool.  We think we offer the best location for size, location to the lifts, price and ammenities.

We are on the corner of Lorimer and Northlands Blvd.  From the highway, take the second Whistler entrance (right on Lorimer Drive)  then first Left onto Northlands Blvd.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Arrival Days You pick! Any day that is available.
Cancellations Made by Guests 100% Refunds for cancellations 45 days before your arrival, less 5% administrative fee. Cancellations wiithin 45 days of arrival, regardless of reason, are subject to rebooking part/all of the dates plus administrative fee. This means that the refund is based on the number of nights & rate we are able to re-rent the condo. We strongly recommend "trip insurance" to help you cover the cost of last minute delays or cancellations.
Courtesy Hold Reservations Email to discuss any questions about availability. Generally, we don't "hold" reservations without a deposit.
Delayed Arrivals Delays are regrettable but beyond our control & we've held our unit for you so we don't offer refunds UNLESS you cancel 45 days or more in advance or if we are able to rebook some or all of your stay with another guest. We recommend "trip insurance" that usually costs between 3-5% of your reservation and can cover you due to illness, travel delays or if even our condo becomes damaged through no fault of your own.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information We can accept your reservation online thru this Allrua website or you can email us directly at if you desire your reservation in US dollars. 35% payment is due to reserve. Full payment due within 45 days of arrival. Upon final payment you will receive the door entry code. Your door code is unique to your reservation and allows access to our condo during your stay.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Stay Contract If you make your reservation within this Allura website, we will still send you a Guest Rental Contract which summaries the costs and includes helpful info on our location, expectation and use of the condo, wifi access, etc. You can always ask to review this contract before making your reservation decision.
Ineligible Guests Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments Late payments may jeopardize your reservation if they persist 3 days past their due date. Allura's online reservation system will prompt each guest for final payment.
Privacy The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. Guest Stay Policies

Check-In Time 4:00 pm. Earlier ck-in may be possible, Owner confirmation required.
Check-Out Time 10:00 am. Later time may possible depending on availability. Owner confirmation required in advance so our cleaners can keep their schedules & get in to clean our unit.
Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Cleaning Costs Guests are requested to remove all trash from the condo and start the dishwasher upon their checkout. Guests are not required to vacuum, dust or do any laundry. Hand wash glassware can be left on the counter. 99.5% of our guests are terrific and we have no problems with excessive costs. However, piled up trash and bottles as well as deliberate soiling on the walls, floors and furniture (such as food, crayon, body fluids, carpet stains, burn holes) requires extra (excessive) cleaning. You will be responsible for extra cleaning required to return the condo to its original condition. If these costs exceed the $150 damage deposit, you will be asked to cover the cost of the cleaning or replacement.
Excessive Noise 10:30 pm-7:30 am is quiet conversation hours. 1st reported noise to condo security result in warning, 2nd is grounds for eviction. Strata may assess fines for deliberate/malicious noise. If you are evicted, no refunde for any portion of your stay. You will be liable for all fines assessed for your noise by the condo strata association.
Garbage Removal Dishes must be loaded in DW upon departure. Garage must be removed daily to bins in garage. You must also remove all trash at check out. Excessive garbage in the suite that results in additional costs will be billed to you.
Housekeeping Clean linens & towels & starter paper goods for each guest. A $40 checkout cleaning fee applies. Touch up cleans & linen changes available upon request. We have a vacuum and starter supply of trash bags and soaps for the kitchen.
Liability We the owners are expressly excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, whilst in transit to, or while on resort property.
Locking Door Doors must be firmly closed when you exit. In summer we recommend doors shut so that wildlife stays out. Failure to secure the condo during your absence & subsequent damage will be your responsibility.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity We can comfortably sleep 6-7 persons. A portacrib is also available.
Maintenance Emergencies 24 hour security & maintenance. Emergency contact information in the Guest Rental Contract.
Missing Items Guests authorize a credit card charge for missing items per our. Be a good neighbor, the towels aren't worth taking!
Noise Restrictions 10:30 pm-7:30 am is quiet conversation hours. Noise restriction include loud conversation, yelling, music, deliberate banging in/around structure and stomping of feet.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice. Policy copy is provided with your reservation for your advance review.
Property Damage $150 CAD damage & cleaning deposit. Ck out cleaning of $50.

Terms of Eviction If other guests or 24 hour Security receives complaints about you regarding noise, profanity or abuse of the unit or other guests, you will be evicted immediately and lose your damage deposit and reservation.

My Money Saving Tips

Cheapest groceries Enter border crossing for trucks, after entry, there is a huge grocery store right next to the McDonalds. I think it is PriceGrabbers.
My biggest money saving tips Bring coffee, syrup, olive oil, butter, cheeze, seafood/meat, wine/beer since Whistler stores are expensive & don"t offer best quality or small quantities for ie. weekend use. Produce and dry goods are reasonable in Whistler.

We are a family of 6 in Sammamish, Washington State USA but originally from the State of Alaska.  We love Whistler summer and winter but were SO disappointed with the rental units offered by the big firms, especially ResortQuest.  We wanted to bring our kids and friends to a place of our own own that didn't feel like a bare bones rental.  As a result, we found a great spot here in Whistler and we get loads of compliments on our condo.  We also have homes on the island of Kihei, Maui and in Girdwood, Alaska that offer distinctive, luxury accomodations for families.  Vacation Rentals/Executive rentals on Seattle's eastside in Washington State too.

My family of 4, stayed in this condo during the IronMan 2014. We quickly realized the perfect location when we stepped out to walk to the Village. Very close to grocery store which we appreciated because we like to not "eat out" all the time. We have 2 teenage boys and although the condo was a little on the small side we never felt cramped because we were always on the go. The only things that were a little bothersome was it could be very dark in the condo itself even with the shades open and we would have liked the patio furniture and bbq grill switched with the hot tub. It was a little awkward going thru the kids bedroom to get to the patio. On the upside which is why we would definitely rent this unit again was Lisa was so helpful and reassuring. She kept in touch with us and when we had an issue with the microwave she was immediately on top of it and it was resolved in less than an hour. You cannot beat this location it was perfect for our needs. This was our 1st trip to Whistler and we wish we had known how much there was to do in the summer here because we would have traveled here more often when our kids were younger. Our favorite things we did while there was Peak to Peak and then on up to the 360 degree view, white water rafting, and zip lining. Thank you so much Lisa for allowing us to use your home for our trip. Amazing!!!!
