The suite offers wonderful views of Whistler mountain and ski-in, ski-out access to the Cruiser run on Blackcomb Mountain. As one of only two concrete buildings in the area, it is quiet yet a walk of only minutes takes you to the over 90 restaurants and bars Whistler has to offer. World-class resort shopping along with three extensive grocery stores are only a short walking distance away. Situated in a true four-seasons resort, our home is located directly on the extensive paved bike/walking/rollerblading trail network. The Chateau Whistler golf course is only a few minutes walk away. Plus the frequent free Village shuttle bus system stops directly in front of our home to take you anywhere in Whistler-Blackcomb region. The condo was perfect for our needs of three generations travelling together. It was closer to the village than we had thought.
It was within walking distance to the village and Lost Lake. The condo was well stocked and very clean. Only a few minor
Issues...the tub stopper was not set properly and water drained out fairly quickly (an issue when bathing the baby). The sliding screen
door was hard to move and needs adjusting. It is nice to sit out on the balcony, but the balcony could be done up a little nicer.
Bedroom windows were also tricky to open.
Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend staying there.
This is a nice unit, and we found it exceptionally clean. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size especially the master. It's location is very convenient to walk or bus into town but it is not ski in and ski out, there is a short walk to the ski hill. The 3rd bedroom/den was not very useful for us; it is a loft above the living room with an unfortunate configuration of 2 single beds and a vertical structural beam that runs right through the room. This room is only really useful for older kids or single adults who just need a place to sleep. The unit is very quiet and situated at the very end of the hall so no disturbance from noise outside. The pool and hot tub were clean, warm and nicely situated. The service we received from the property owner/manger was excellent and made it very easy for us.
We came to relax with our friends & famliy and the condo was perfect for this. It had an fully equipped kitchen & the layout of the condo was very convenient. The work out room & pool were great for entertaining the teenagers. We would definitely return. The location was quiet & a short walk to Blackcomb Village.
Outdoor pool was a great addition in hot summer weekend. Parking is not reserved and adds $16 per car to your nightly rate.
The amenity was just like we expected. Everything was clean, in it's place and in order. The property with its workout room, pool, play-room, and jacuzzi was fantastic. Getting out and in was also easy. Skiing to the lift and from the lift is no problem...just walk across the street and then you are ready to strap in. One small complaint: we arrived around 9:45 PM and the front doors were already locked. Please make arrangements beforehand if arriving late. Otherwise, excellent service!
We never got bothered, everything was as advertised and the privacy we got from being on the top floor was icing on the cake. The view is amazing and its a great place to spend a weekend. The owners/rental managers made the process and the stay completely hassle free. I'd stay here again.
We stayed with 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids 3 & 6 yo) in Condo # 604 in the Marquise building in Whistler from the 26th of March to the 10th of april. We actually booked an extra day as the skiing was so good. Th unit is at the top of the building and has nice views. The loft has 2 single beds and there are two good sized bedrooms (one with a queen and one with a king sized bed) with bathrooms attached.The unit was clean and plenty of towels etc were provided. The loft can be a bit noisy for the kids after they have gone to bed but it wasn't a big issue. The location of the building is good with easy access (10 min on foot) to the upper village. Access to the ski slopes is also a short walk over a trail (150 to 200m) after crossing Spearhead drive. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need. The building also has a hot tub and swimming pool. The only minor issue we had was that during our stay only one of the two lifts would operate which caused some delays.
Overall, we really liked the unit. Nice to have something larger than what we usually get at Whistler. The ski in/ski out was very convenient. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and the kids were able to use the pool given that it was heated to a usable temperature. The only suggestion I would have would be to have Tv's in the bedroom. With the kids in the loft, it was hard to watch TV in the living area and not wake them. Also, the wifi seemed to work only intermittently.
This is a nice place. Everything you need for a ski vacation. Pretty close to the slopes except while we were there the trails to the slopes were not completely covered in snow, but if they were it would have been perfect.
Wonderful, roomy accommodation for my family. Two adults, two kids and one senior all happy and comfortable. Lovely warm pool and even warmer hot tub in the complex. Free shuttle bus to the village. Only downside was having to pay extra for parking.
We were very pleased that we could check in early as there were no guests staying in the suite the day before. That made it easier to arrive early from Vancouver, unpack, and head to the village for a stroll. The suite was in a clean condition, pleasantly furnished and comfortable. The view from the large living room window was breathtaking! All in all, we would be happy to visit this unit again! Cons: 1) A couple of pillows, two in master bedroom and one in living room, have not been washed - we found hair on pillowcases 2) We saw a posting in the lobby that the pool was under repair - it would have been nice to know that ahead of time as the pool was one of the main draws to this building 3) Our access code did not work for the gym and the hot tub - it turned out that our e-mail contained an older code
This is the second time we have stayed in the Marquise. We are good friends with one of the other owners in the building. The Marquise is very quiet and is situated in a great location within walking distance to almost everything. One comment from each one of the family members was the different smells/odours the seems to exist in the building common areas. old moldy carpets? gas? garbarge? different smells in different locations. Paying for parking on top of rental was a minor downer, but it appears to be a growing problem throughout the Whistler village area. Overall stay was great! Rick
