A multi-million dollar expansion for Rendezvous Lodge on Blackcomb
The Rendezvous Lodge on Blackcomb Mountain is getting a much needed upgrade to accommodate all the hungry skiers and riders. Construction will begin in Spring of 2015, and will continue all throughout summer. The lodge will reopen in time for the 2015/16 ski season.
The ski resort will be spending $5.4-million on increasing the seating capacity of the Roundhouse Lodge by 8.5%. The new lodge will have a revamped menu, including fresh sushi (made to order), a wok station with ramen and rice bowls, Mexican food options and a good old burger bar featuring nothing but the freshest ingredients. There will also be a cappuccino bar, to get that caffeine fix.
For guests heading over to the alpine and visiting the mountains during the summer months, there will be a small hut serving food and beverage during the renovation phase. The Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler mountain will also be open for all the hikers and the sightseers.
Whistler-Blackcomb is a great place to be all year round! There are various events and festivals throughout the year, and accommodation options on alluraDirect are endless if you plan ahead. The upgrades to the Rendezvous Lodge will only enhance the guest experience allowing for more food and beverage options for skiers and riders on Blackcomb Mountain.
