On the top floor, with an outlook to the Fairmont this is a great apartment for families. Large main bedroom plus en-suite with shower (and lovely heated floor tiles). Loft bedroom was fine for our 2 teenagers - great to have the shutters to block the light from the living area below which our apartment last year didnâ??t.
Great location at Blackcomb base with an easy walk to small supermarket, restaurants and bars (with our absolute favourite, the Mallard Lounge in the Fairmont about 10 metres across the road!!), some good ski shops and the lifts a very short walk too. My husband and I and another couple stayed for 10 nights in March and we loved our stay. The condo was great. Very comfortable for 2 couples. The beds were comfy which you want after a long day on the mountain. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to be self sufficient. We made some awesome dinners which saved us lots of money.
The location was great. Just a short walk to the Blackcomb gondola and a beautiful walk to Whistler which takes about 10 minutes. We made use of the concierge service by having a large grocery order from Nesters delivered on the day we arrived which saved a lot time and their service was great. We greatly appreciated being able to stay until 4pm on our departure day due to midnight flight back to Australia. This allowed a morning ski, lunch and shower before the long flight home.
Thanks heaps Darcy!! We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for somewhere quiet but still super close to all action of Whistler Village. Hopefully one day we will be able to return.View Full Review

We had a wonderful 9 day stay at this property! Everything about this property is great--picking up skis at the ski storage in the rental shop just off the lobby, walking 5 minutes or less to the new Blackcomb gondola and being on top of the mountain within about a half hour of walking out the condo door is what it's all about. The unit is spacious, clean and well-kept. The kitchen is better stocked (pots, pans, utensils, etc) than other condos we've rented as well. Being on the third floor we didn't deal with any of the clomping of ski boots overhead and the vaulted ceiling in the main living space makes the condo feel huge. The lofted 2nd bedroom really felt enclosed because of the clever use of the shutters, which allowed for air flow, but blocked out the morning light. The two treats I particularly loved were the heated floors in the bathroom (what a luxury) and having a boot/glove dryer in the front closet, which is where we hung all of our outerwear. I'm now officially spoiled, as I admit that I "preheated" my boots every morning before heading for the hill--how will I ever go back to cold boots in the morning?
We've stayed in the upper village before and know that it is a bit "quieter" than the main village, but we prefer it that way. The two spots that we found ourselves going back to again and again were Fifi's Bistro (their eggs benedict for breakfast and sheppards pie for dinner are amazing!) and the Handlebar (small bar, great beer selection, rotating taps) for apres beers and appetizers. The walk to the village is an easy 10 minute or less stroll and we ventured there for many dinners as well.

We are parents of two young children – living in Vancouver and spending a lot of time in Whistler. Since making our journey from Ontario in 1997, we have considered Vancouver and Whistler our home. While Vancouver is our primary residence, we enjoy every opportunity we get to be in Whistler, a mountain town filled with so many things to do and wonderful people to meet.
Darcy has spent over 25 years in the sport of Freestyle skiing as an athlete, pro-skier, and coach at the world cup and Olympic level. Being on the world cup ski tour has given us access to countless resorts around the world. This experience has helped us create this little piece of heaven here in Whistler. Whistler is indeed one of the world’s best resort mountain towns to enjoy all the mountain activities both summer and winter. We look forward to sharing our little piece of heaven with you.
