Whistler Blackcomb Intermediate & Advanced Programs

There are 5 intermediate to advanced programs available for you to choose from: Private lessons, Super Group, Ski or Ride Esprit Guides, Summit Sessions and Specialty Programs

1. Private Lessons

The ultimate mountain learning experience. You'll get lift line priority, ski or ride the best (and secret) terrain and one-on-one instruction to bring you to the next level. A private lesson is the fastest way to improve.

Available for both skiers and riders for half day, full day or multiple days. Limited to a maximum of 5 people per class (split the cost among your group). Recommended for level 2 - 6 skiers/riders.

Prices range from $435 for half day lessons to $599 for full day lessons.

 

2. Super Group Int. & Adv.

 

Super Group Lessons

These are groups with a maximum of 3 students - enough to fill one high-speed chair. Travel at your own pace with two of your friends or join two other people of similar ability.

You'll receive individual attention, one-on-one instruction, a unique social environment and instructors who are all long-term pros. Wednesday and Friday sessions include video analysis.

Available for both skiers and snowboarders, daily in half day or full day lessons. Additional days may be purchased as well. Limited to a maximum of 3 people per class.

Prices range from $139.30 for half day (Discover Whistler Days) to $259 for full day with additional full days charged at $139.30-$199

 

3. Ski or Ride Esprit Guides

 

Ski Esprit Program

This is it. It's the longest running ski/snowboard program going and for good reason. There is no better way to explore both mountains then through the patented 'Improve While you Move' instructional methodology

Ski or ride with the same instructor each day and build on your progress run to run. Your group will consist of people of similar ability who want to achieve the same goals.

This program has added features which include: video analysis, a fun race, lift line priority and après receptions.

Available for both skiers and riders with start days on Monday only for 3, 4 or 5 days. Limited to a maximum of 8 people per class. Recommended for Levels 2 - 6.

Prices start at $299 for three day programs

  

4. Summit Sessions

For intermediate to expert adult skiers (levels 4 - 6) on Whistler Mountain. Learn with people of similar abilities and explore the mountain with people who know it best. Great for building confidence, tuning up and moving up.

Available for both skiers and riders daily in half day or full day lessons. Additional days may be purchased at a discounted rate. Limited to a maximum of 8 people per class.

Prices range from $66.50 for half day (Discover Whistler Days - skiers only) to $115 for full day

 

5. Specialty Programs

Dave Murray Camps

Dave Murray Race Camp - This 3 day camp is designed for the confident intermediate, advanced or expert skier whose focus is technique improvement. The results are explosive. You'll test drive Atomic skis and get daily video analysis of your progress.

Big time gate training to improve skills will be followed by a move to off-piste to utilize your new-found talent. In addition to awesome instruction, you'll enjoy continental breakfast, slopeside refreshments, prizes, and après parties.

Camps are held every Monday - Wednesday starting mid-December.

Extremely Canadian Freeskiing Clinics

Extremely Canadian Freeskiing Clinic - This clinic is geared for adventurous, advanced-intermediate to expert skiers. Skiers are placed in small groups of similar ability, optimal for honing your skills, which combined with a serious amount of vertical guarantees improvement, tired legs, and an unforgettable ski experience.

The clinic price include perks such as lift line priority, T-shirt, video analysis and a decompression session at Merlin's Bar and Grill.

Two-day clinics run three times a week on Saturday/Sunday, Monday/Tuesday, and Thursday/Friday.

Roxy Camps

Roxy Women's All Star Ski/Snowboard Camps - For level 4 - 6 skiers/riders. This two day camp (select weekends Dec. - Apr.) provides a warm, positive environment that will help you get to the next level fast.

From freeriding to terrain parks the options are yours to explore. You'll get video to help you along and the après is a riot, complete with new friends, a few prizes and the day's triumphs to celebrate.

Quicksilver Camps

Quicksilver Freestyle/Freeride Snowboard Camps - For level 3 - 6 snowboarders. These two day camps focus on park riding, jumps, half-pipes and pow turns.

Never ridden before. View programs.

Novice. Ridden a lift, can turn and stop under control. Prefer to ski at a slow pace. Green runs remain a bit of a challenge. View programs.

Novice. Able to slide and stop both front & backside. Attempting turns on green runs. View programs.

Novice/Intermediate. Feel at home on green runs but barely venture on to a blue run. View programs.

Novice/Intermediate. Able to link sweeping pivot turns on green runs, but rarely venture blue runs. View programs.

Intermediate. Can ski most blue runs; however, do with some reservations. My skis are parallel most of the time and I ski at moderate speed. View intermediate/advanced programs above.

Intermediate. Comfortable linking turns on all green runs and easy blue runs. Ready for an introduction to the Terrain Park. View intermediate/advanced programs above.

High Intermediate. Comfortable on blue runs. I might like to learn short turns and moguls, yet still improving my carving. View intermediate/advanced programs above.

High Intermediate. Consistently linking turns on all blue runs and would like to explore more challenging terrain. View intermediate/advanced programs above.

Advanced. Enjoy the challenges of skiing moguls, steeps and powder. View intermediate/advanced programs above.

Advanced. Enjoy black runs and would like to be able to ride in all types of terrain and conditions. View intermediate/advanced programs above.
