Which adventure tour will you choose? Canadian Outback Adventures offer whitewater rafting during the summer months (May to September) and a bald eagle viewing safari during the winter months (November to February). We suggest you try both if you make it to Whistler during these two seasons of the year.
Ability Level: Novice to experienced rafters
Age requirement: Must be is 13 years or older
Weight Requirement: Must weigh a minimum of 90 pounds or 40 kilograms.
Challenge the Class 3-4 rapids of the Squamish and Elaho (EE-la-ho) rivers, located just under one hour from Whistler. Maneuver through the "Devil's Elbow," practice your swimming skills and test your balance with amusing challenges from your friendly guide. Your 16 km journey, takes you through beautiful, natural surroundings including dormant volcanoes, towering glaciers and stunning waterfalls. Lucky guests might even catch a glimpse of the areas animal inhabitants such as deer, beavers and bears - oh my! Finish up your day of adventure with a deluxe Outback BBQ meal (vegetarian options available) back at our rafting base.

Canadian Outback’s river rafting experts specially designed this adventure for families with children as young as five years old. They’ve been offering family trips since 1994, so they know their stuff when it comes to customizing a trip that’s geared for enjoyment for both parents (adults) and kids alike.
Enjoy a 90-minute relaxing float down the Cheakamus and lower Squamish rivers with a few small rapids thrown in the keep the kids excited. Learn about the history of the First Nations people, take a dip in the jade-tinted waters and have fun splashing your neighbour! This tour includes a light snack at the midway point. A deluxe Outback BBQ meal (vegetarian options available) can be added to your adventure at the time of booking for an additional fee.
Age Requirement: Suitable for ages 5 years old and above - it's a gentle float on the river!
When to Go: Tours begin in Brackendale/Squamish mid-November until early February
Canadian Outback Adventures invites you to come aboard their expedition-class river raft and view bald eagles in their natural habitat. Your skilled guide will ply through the Squamish river waters as you sit comfortably and safely in your raft to enjoy the wilderness setting. Dress warm - a rain suit and rubber boots will be provided for you. A hearty, hot lunch (vegetable soup, warm bread and butter, fresh baked cookies, tea, coffee, juice and hot chocolate on the river) is included.
