The biggest celebration for sports, arts and music is coming to Whistler on April 11-20, 2014. The World Ski and Snowboard Festival may seem like a giant shindig, but an event this massive makes sure that they make a difference too!
This year’s events aims to raise awareness against women’s violence, and to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, aiding in cancer research.

Yeehaw! Join the crowd and head on down to Dusty’s in Creekside (link to Google Map) on April 12 for the BUCK Cancer fundraiser. Cover charge is by donation, and there will be various fundraising options all throughout the night including a 50/50 draw, silent auction, a fun photo booth by Rich Glass Photography, and the best part of it all, have a wack at the mechanical bull ride and see how long you can last. Doors open at 7 PM, and proceeds from this event will go to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Sea to Sky Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

Are you man enough to wear stilettos? This event call out all men to put themselves in her shoes. The Sea to Sky Walk a Mile in Her Shoes aims to bring awareness and a serious call to action to end all violence against women. Although this event is geared for manliest of men, friends and family are welcome to join in as spectators. The event organizers are asking that participants dress as they would normally, and to avoid ladies wear.
