Opening day on Whistler Blackcomb is fast approaching, but soon after that, make sure you have your popcorn ready for the November 28th when the Whistler Film Festival opens for its 12th year. From November 28th to December 2nd, movie goers will have to play the ‘Amazing Race’ to see all 75 amazing films at this year’s Whistler Film Festival. Alright, maybe it will be hard to see all 75 films, but be sure to at least catch a few of the flicks at this year’s festival.
With the 12th anniversary of the Whistler Film Festival, the organizing team has over delivered once again by offering 6 World Premieres, 1 North American Premiere, 6 Canadian Premieres, 5 English Canadian Premieres, 15 Western Canadian Premieres, 4 British Columbia Premieres, and 1 Whistler Premiere. I guess we can guess the theme of this year’s festival, ‘Canadian eh?!” Okay, may be it isn’t, but there is a ton of amazing Canadian content to enjoy as well as spectacular international talent from around the world.
New ShortWork Lab Conference at Whistler Film Festival
In addition to grabbing your popcorn and pop, you can also jump right into the action at a new ShortWork Lab conference that puts participates in front of industry leading experts. Participants can immerse themselves into panels, discussions, pitches, and networking events with other industry leading film makers and experts.
Whoever said November is a boring month in Whistler?! Cornucopia is next week, Whistler Blackcomb Opening Day is November 22nd, and Whistler Film Festival is November 28th.
