72Hr Filmmaker Showdown at Whistler Blackcomb for World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF)
One of the biggest events at the World Ski and Snowboard Festival is the Olympus 72-Hour Filmmaker Showdown, happening on April 15, 2014 at 8 PM at the Whistler Conference Centre. Open to all ages, this sold out event challenges participants to revert filmmaking back to it’s truest form – to use their creative energies to produce a 3-5 min film, in a span of 72 hours, within a 100 km radius in Whistler, BC. It’s the perfect blend of art, skill and community. The winner takes over $10,000 in prizes, plus the exposure that only event of 1,500+ audience can afford.

The Filmmaker 2nd Cuts Screening (Encore)
Tickets for 72-Hour Filmmaker Showdown sold out so quickly for this year’s WSSF, that the organizers needed to add an encore event happening on April 16th, at noon. The second event will culminate the amazing experience by replaying all the entries, along with another round of 5-minutes of fame for the finalists and the winners. This event is also bound to be as popular as the first, so make sure to get your tickets soon!
