Welcome Sight for Guests and Residents of Whistler
One of the main requests from guests and locals residents of Whistler is that an outdoor skating facility was one of the primary activities missing from Whistler Village, according to a municipality release. Whistler’s move from a temporary ice skating facility to a permanent outdoor ice skating facility is a welcomed announcement by many. Last year, approximately 17,000 people used the temporary outdoor rink, which included 14,000 skate rentals during that period. Skating will be free of charge, but skate rentals, food, and beverage sales are expected to help subsidize the operational costs of the rink.
