On Monday, Whistler Blackcomb updated the status of its opening day countdown with great news for the upcoming winter season. The Whistler Blackcomb snow making team is two weeks ahead of schedule, having already put 20 million gallons of snow (converted from water) on to the mountain.
North-America’s Top Ski Resort Ahead of Schedule
In fact, the #1 ski resort in North America has already received a few days of snow in the valley further adding to the excitement and anticipated opening day of November 22nd. In the past two weeks, weather lows to the British Columbia region have created lower seasonal temperatures leading to both a fantastic snow making season and early snowfalls in Whistler, BC.
With only 24 days remaining before Whistler-Blackcomb opens its ski season, out-of-town snowboarders and skiers alike have been busy purchasing their discount lift tickets and accommodation before the early season window expires on November 15th.
