Whistler Film Festival Hosts A Taste of Whistler Wine Tasting Event
Whistler Film Festival Society is hosting Spring Fling: A Taste of Whistler wine tasting event on Saturday March. 30 to raise donations in an effort to grow its world class film festival. The Whistler Film Festival Society partnered with Sterling Vineyard’s in an effort to support their Future in Focus Capital Campaign by hosting an early evening après ski extravaganza from 4 to 6:30pm on Saturday. Attendees will have the pleasure of wine tasting selections of the best wine available in Whistler, including Sterling’s large collection of international and domestic wines; an assortment of Whistler restaurants are providing delightful appetizers as well.
Renovate Whistler’s Rainbow Theater
Whistler Film Festival’s Future in Focus Capital Campaign is an effort to help the charitable cultural organization raise funds to renovate one of Whistler’s beloved theaters, the Rainbow Theater. The renovation of the Rainbow Theater is critical to the growing success of one Canada’s premier film festivals and is essential in creating a state-of-the-art screening venue that will become the permanent home of the Whistler Film Festival.
Restaurants in Whistler participating include Araxi, Cinnamon Bear Bar & Grill, Sugar Momma Pasteries and The Keg. The evening will feature live entertainment and a silent and live auction, along with a grand prize raffle. If you’re staying in Whistler, you can enjoy this amazing après ski event for $50 and receive a tax receipt for your charitable contribution to the Whistler Film Festival Society.
