Whistler Continues Family Day with New Wednesday Family Night

Whistler Announces Family Night in Olympic Plaza

Whistler took advantage of the Family Day long weekend to continue the tradition in announcing a new weekly Wednesday Family Night in the popular ski resort. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday Feb. 13, Whistler’s first two-hour Family Night will begin at 5pm with various events planned that will continue until the end of the winter season. With an emphasis on fun for Family Night, the Whistler Olympic Plaza will host various family events every Wednesday that include sled rentals, hot chocolate, balloon toques, snowman contests, fire spinning, storytelling, and outdoor skating.

The new Whistler Family Night event in the popular mountain resort will be funded thru the Resort Municipality of Whistler’s (RMOW) Festival’s, Events and Animation budget. With Family Day falling on the second Monday of February each year, Whistler and the rest of B.C. is encouraged by the signs that a large number of families are choosing to take a B.C. Staycation and hit the ski slopes for a weekend of family fun in the snow.

In fact, Vacation Rentals in Whistler, Big White, and Sun Peaks were sold out for the Family Day long weekend in the popular ski resorts.
