Whistler Creekside, or as some call it Creekside Whistler, is the first village entry point in Whistler located ten minutes south of Whistler Village in close proximity to the World Ski and Snowboard Festival. Known to be a little less expensive because of its remote location from the rest of Whistler, Creekside is a great option for those wanting to save a little money and be away from the large crowds during the World Ski and Snowboard Festival. While it may be smaller in size, Whistler Creekside restaurants offer plenty for those to still enjoy Whistler on a more affordable budget.
If you’re planning to ski or board, which of course most people come to do at Whistler Blackcomb, grab your ski lift ticket at Creekside Gondola then head up Whistler Mountain. Navigate your way to the Roundhouse Lodge area where you can access to Blackcomb Mountain via the Peak-2-Peak gondola or ski down Whistler Mountain to Skiers Plaza to enjoy the life in Whistler Village or the live music from the World Ski and Snowboard Festival main stage.
Whistler Village Transportation Access
Transportation from Whistler Creekside to Whistler Village is quick and easy as guests can either drive, transit, or take a taxi into Whistler Village. A ride on Whistler Transit is $2.50 per ride, $7 a day, or $20 for a book of ten passes. A taxi ride, which some may need to take late in the evening, is about $10-15 from Whistler Village to Creekside Whistler.
Whistler Creekside Restaurants
You may be away from the World Ski and Snowboard Festival action, but there are still endless amounts of Whistler Creekside restaurants that are nearby vacation rental units. There are two cafes, six family restaurants, three specialty BBQ and popular après ski pubs, and four fine dining restaurants in Creekside Whistler. Amongst the locals and returnees, Dusty’s Bar & BBQ and Creekside Bread are two popular favourites in the area.
