Whistler Crankworx GoPro Dirt Diaries Rider Lineup 2014

The riders for Whistler Crankworx Go Pro Dirt Diaries have been announced. With a limited time of 7 weeks, teams of up to 6 individuals will be tasked to create a 4-6 minute video, depicting their own riding story. Their videos will be showcased to a live audience in an outdoor set-up at the Whistler Olympic Plaza.

The video entries will be judged according to the following criteria: storyline substance, videography, riding and editing. The following riders will be competing for this year’s GoPro Dirt Diaries at Crankworx: Wade Simmons, Claire Buchar, Ross Measures, Kirt Voreis, Andrew Taylor and Yannick Granieri. Already, the roster has garnered excitement within the organizing committee. Quoting a recent press release from Crankworx by General Manager Darren Kinnaird, “We’ve been fortunate enough to bring a unique blend of riders to the table this year – Wade Simmons and Kirt Voreis are such legends in the sport, while Ross Measures has a really well-rounded background as a professional rider and as a filmmaker. Claire Buchar is one of the most underrated riders in downhill racing and AT (Andrew Taylor) and Yannick Granieri will round the crew out with their extensive backgrounds as incredible slopestyle riders.”

The outdoor public screening will take place during the Crankworx festival in Whistler, on August 12, 2014. There event is free to watch, but priority seating will be offered for $5 per ticket. The top three teams will be rewarded a cash prize of $5,000; $3,000; and $2,000 respectively.
