WSSF 2014 Ski and Snowboard Event Schedule.
With two weeks to go before the 2014 World Ski and Snowboard Festival in Whistler, this year’s schedule of events is jam-packed with amazing talents. Currently in it’s 19th year, crowds from all over gather to celebrate snow sports, music, and arts. This year, alluraDirect will be right in the middle of all the action as one of festival’s sponsors – so make sure to drop by our tent and say hello! The music festival line-up for the Outdoor Concert Series is slowly trickling out, but the schedule for sporting and arts events are out with The Shred Show kicking things off on April 11th until 15th, skiers will be taking to both Blackcomb Mountain and Whistler Mountain as they compete in slopestyle and big-air competitions.
The Shred Show – April 11-15
[image source_type=”attachment_id” source_value=”5853″ title=”World Ski Snowboard Festival” align=”left” size=”small”] From April 11-15th, the The Shred Show presented by Monster Energy is taking place at the Nintendo Terrain Park on Blackcomb Mountain featuring some of the best competitors in the world. With Slopestyle skiing now recognized as a sport in the Winter Olympic Games, Whistler is sure to draw the best in the world dropping into the pipe. The Shred Show concludes with Boarderstyle where competitors race to the finish, boardercross-style.

AFP World Championship – April 16-20
[image source_type=”attachment_id” source_value=”5855″ title=”World Ski Snowboard Festival Invitational” align=”right” size=”small”] On April 16-20th, the Association of Freeskiing Professionals will take over Blackcomb Terrain Park to host the top athletes for the World Skiing Invitational. World class skiers take off on ramps, perform tricks mid-air, and coordinate transitions in seconds. Happening on April 19th, the Big Air competition will wow spectators with spectacular looking on from Whistler Village in Skier’s Plaza with spectaculars aerial displays. The winner of the Big Air competition will walk away with one of the sport’s biggest Big Air Championships and massive bragging rights.

State of the ART

Whistler Conference Centre will be the home of State of the ART gallery showcasing the work of extraordinary artists channeling the snow and street lifestyle.
