

B.C.’s best kept secret is at again, Sun Peaks Resort has been the recipient of more than 101 centimeters of snow in the past week. This gives the resort, located an hour outside of Kamloops, a new alpine snow base of 150 cm with snow in the forecast throughout the week. With Sun Peaks located further away from the coastline, their dryer snow conditions are nearly on par with the record snowfall that Whistler has received this season.
Champagne Powder Comes to Sun Peaks Resort
In the past 48 hours, 28 cm of snow has fallen in Sun Peaks creating unbelievable snow conditions in the resort. Guests planning to ski Sun Peaks are awakening to champagne powder all week long that Big White is normally known for. This week, it’s Sun Peaks turn to enjoy a wonderful early Christmas snowfall creating a perfect backdrop for guests staying in Sun Peaks over the holiday season. With the annual Family Cup event a little over two weeks away, Sun Peaks snow conditions couldn’t be looking any better.
