Santa Ski’s Free at Whistler Blackcomb on Saturday, Dec. 22

Santa Riding the chairlift at Whistler Blackcomb

On Saturday, Dec. 22, Whistler Blackcomb welcomes Santa Claus and all his friends to ski or board for free while enjoying a day on the record breaking snowfall this season. For the first 75 skiers or boarders brave enough to wear a Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus outfit to the annual Dress Like Santa Day, will have pleasure of spending the entire day on the mountain for free when they check in at the Garibaldi Lift Company at the base of Whistler Mountain.

All Santa Claus costumes must include red or black pants, a red jacket with white trim, a black belt, and of course, a Santa beard. Instead of pants and a beard, Mrs. Claus must wear a skirt and a Mrs. Claus hat to complete the outfit.

Each Mr. or Mrs. Claus will receive one free lift ticket for the first 75 people who meet the costume requirements. Registration is not necessary, but lift tickets will be given on a first come first served basis. Each Santa will also take home Christmas gifts thanks to Whistler Blackcomb.

All 75 Santas will then proceed up the Fitzsimmons Express in Whistler Village, continuing on to the Garbanzo Express before skiing or riding to the bottom of the Emerald Express for a group photo celebrating their Christmas cheer. Season pass holders will receive a one-day lift ticket valid between Jan. 1 and 31.

If you’re staying in Whistler for the holiday season, then be sure to keep an eye out for the presents and Christmas cheers that Santa may bestow upon you and your family. Never the less, it’s truly an experience to see Santa come racing down the mountain.
