Keep a look out for two long ears and a fuzzy cotton tail this April as the Easter Bunny is spreading chocolate joy to many Canadian mountain resorts.

Bring out the whole family and join in on the hunt for tons of Easter goodies and treats. Find out which resorts are featuring Easter festivities here:

  • Sun Peaks - The Easter Bunny will be bringing more chocolate than ever to Sun Peaks on Sunday, April 4th from 11:00am-4:00pm. Everyone is welcome and the event is free. The hunt will start at the top of OSV Race Course.
  • Big White - Easter at Big White will begin with church service at 8:30am followed by a visit from the Easter Bunny and an all day Easter egg hunt!
  • Mont Tremblant - Scavenge for Easter goodies all throughout the Easter long weekend (April 2nd-4th) in Mont Tremblant. Easter eggs will be hidden in the Pedestrian Village starting at 10am at Place St-Bernard. Performers and make-up artists will also provide entertainment.
  • Fernie - The Great Fernie Easter egg hunt will begin at the back of the daylodge at 10am on Sunday, April 4th. Sweet treats left behind by the Easter Bunny will be hidden throughout the base plaza. This is a free family event.
  • Panorama - Keep your eye out for hidden delights at the Easter Treasure Hunt in Panorama Village on April 3rd.

Hula Down for Hawaii Week at Big White, March 17-24

Celebrate Big White's Hawaii week from March 17th-24th. Pull out those grass skirts, ukelele's and flower leis and get ready for a week of fabulous family fun!

Croon to the tunes of Don Ho, the Beach Boys and Elvis while enjoying the hula dancing and ukelele competitions of Big White's Got Talent - Hawaiian Style. Test your hula hooping or hot potato (or hot coconut) skills at Hawaiian Carnival Night and ride the waves on the Nintendo balance board.

There's nothing more delicious than a Hawaiian style bbq, and John Mooney will have that covered when he slow roasts a whole pig in the Village Centre - just like at a real Hawaiian luau!

Fireworks displays, hula dancing lessons and a Blue Hawaii movie night are just a few of the exciting events that make up Hawaii Week at Big White Ski Resort. Make sure to check it out; this is a Polynesian party you don't want to miss!

Big White

Big White ski resort offers an enchanting Valentine's experience with horse-drawn sleigh rides including chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne. See the Activities desk for details. Roses can also be ordered at the activities desk (before February 12th, 2010) and picked up on Valentines morning.

For those swinging solo, find a date just in time at the Speed Dating event on Saturday, Februrary 13th. Located in Happy Valley from 7:00pm-8:30pm, you can meet Mr/Ms.right in a matter of two minutes!

Later on, check out the Traffic Light party at the Happy Valley Day Lodge. Don't forget, the colour you wear says if you're single or part of a pair. Green for single, yellow for undecided and red for taken. The party begins at 8pm and goes til late.

Share the Olympic spirit and celebration with other winter sports enthusiasts, February 12 - 28, 2010 at Big White Resort. Each day, the resort will put on a special event and award medals to the winners. Those lacking a competitive streak can join in on the Torchlight and Nations Flag Parade or opening and closing ceremonies. You can even catch some of the real live Olympic action on one of the many TVs throughout the resort's restaurants, bars and Village Centre.

Whistler

Book discount Whistler lift tickets on alluraDirect.com at least 4 days in advance of your arrival and get up to 18% off window rates (excludes December 20 - January 2).

If you're planning a visit over the holidays and you're from anywhere in Canada or Washington State, consider purchasing an Edge Card by November 21. Early Bird Edge Cards can be purchased for 1, 5 or 10 days and save you $20-30/day over the holidays.

Kicking Horse & Panorama

Live in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba? Lucky you! Both Kicking Horse and Panorama resort have teamed up to offer Western Canadians the Snowmax Card. The card gives you four days of skiing at either resort for only $134 ($124 for youth and seniors). Want to ski more? Add additional days on the card at $15 off the regular rate. Blackout days include December 26 - January 1 and February 13 - 16. Snowmax cards are only available until December 26.

Sun Peaks

Consider the Value Card from Sun Peaks Resort. Adults can purchase the card for $89 which includes one day of skiing and then 5-25% off day rates after that (depending on the time of year). Get the most out of this card when you ski before December 13 or after March 22 when the daily discount is 25%. Sundays are always 25% off the day rate.

For those making a shorter visit, you may want to purchase a 2-day adult "Flexi Lift Ticket" from any BC lower mainland Costco for $112.99. Please note: you must have a Costco membership to shop in their stores.

Big White & Silver Star

Get your "Ticket to Ride" from any BC lower mainland Costco store. For $49.99 you get one day of skiing at either resort and save $10 on all additional adult ski days. You also receive 10% off private or group lessons, 10% off equipment rental and 15% off tubing and ice skating. Children under 13 get a free group lesson! Please note: you must have a Costco membership to shop in their stores.

Mont Tremblant

If you live in the "G, H, J or K" postal code area then you're in luck! Mont Tremblant Resort is offering the T pack which gets you two days of skiing or riding for only $75. You must purchase by December 1 to get the deal. December 22 - January 4 and February 23 - March 22 are blacked out from this promotion.
