Update Your Taxes – Change HST Back to GST.
As a result of the HST referendum held in the summer of 2011, the people of British Columbia voted to scrap the new HST in favour of the old tax model, PST and GST. The HST system will change back to the PST and GST on April 1st, 2013.
To learn more, we encourage all owners to visit the article “Elimination of the HST in British Columbia in 2013 – Questions and Answers” on the CRA website to learn more about how this applies to them specifically.
Include Whistler Event Details on Your Property Page.
Is your property specifically set up to store things like bikes for participants of the Ironman Canada Triathlon race or Crankwork?
It’s always highly recommended to point out to that your vacation rental is ‘event friendly’ beyond just pointing that out in your amenities that you have a bike rack/storage. Stand out above the crowd by letting participants know that you welcome athletes looking to enjoy the outdoor experience in Whistler.
These are just a few tips that we thought of with the latest Whistler event news. Do you have any other suggestions on how you might look at optimizing your alluraDirect property listing to take advantage of the Iron man Canada triathlon?
