 Property Description

This is a corner unit which offers wrap around windows for generous views of the adjacent garden area and of course, the mountains. The private entry on the ground floor leads you either to the right into the queen bedroom and 3 piece bathroom, or to the left to the gorgeous living area with vaulted ceiling, river rock fireplace, dining room to seat 8, and deluxe gourmet kitchen. The second floor boasts 2 more bedrooms: a twin room and a king room, both with ensuite bathrooms. The king room has a private deck. The private garage is accessed from the main floor entry hall.

Living Area

The living room features river rock (gas) FIREPLACE, Flat Screen TV, DVD, cable and stereo. There are 2 large sofas, an easy chair and lots of cushions for added comfort. The vaulted ceiling, designer decor blending old world charm and modern simplicity, won Montebello the 2001 SILVER Georgie Award for Interior Design. The living room exits onto the private deck which is furnished with teak patio furniture. Views from this room are of the gardens and, of course, of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.

Dining Area

The dining area has a maple country table which seats 8. All table linens are provided, along with a complete dinner ware service for 12.

Location

Montebello is at the north end of Village North. It is conveniently located - a few minutes walk from all the Village amenities and the Free Shuttle Bus. Not only is the Valley trail just steps away, each of Whistler's 3 magnificent golf courses is just 5 minutes' drive. To use the maps, click on the map then click on the area you want to zoom in to! Do this to move all over the Valley map. We are located on Casabella Cres., the loop at the top end of Montebello on the map.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Cancellations Made by Guests Payments non-refundable. Refund only for dates replaced, at the replacement rate minus 4%.
Delayed Arrivals No refund on late arrivals.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information 45 days prior to arrival. Upon confirmed payment of balance. Later for last minute bookings.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Stay Contract Required for confirmed booking. Your signature below agreeing to the terms of use of our home constitutes your Guest Stay Contract. Please sign, date and send/fax back to us per the instructiions below.
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Reservation Changes If availability permits and in compliance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your stay if space is available. To shorten your reservation, please note that your deposit is non-refundable. If the balance has been paid it is also non-refundable. If the reservation is shortened prior to the balance of payment due date, it will be adjusted accordingly.

Guest Stay Policies

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Guest will be charged a significant fine for any noise bylaw infraction fines. See also damage deposit policy.
Housekeeping Complimentary. Before arrival and every 5 days on bookings of 10 or more nights.
Liability We are not liable for personal bodily injury while the guest is in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.
Maintenance Emergencies Contact name and phone number of in-resort assistance will be provided.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity 8.
Noise Restrictions 10:00pm to 8:00am. Montebello bylaws state that quiet hours are from 10:00pm - 8:00am
Property Damage Damage deposit is $500.00 payable by cheque or money order.. For your convenience the damage deposit may be paid in either USD or CAD. The guest will pay for noise bylaw infraction fines and all damage incurred while staying in the property, even if the offender is being hosted by the guest.
Terms of Eviction Owner/manager retains the right to evict. Reports of vandalism or late noise infractions will result in eviction and fine by owner.

Getting Check-in information.

How do I get check-in information? When we receive confirmation that your balance of payment has cleared, we will send you all the details you need to check in to our home.
How do I check in? Your check-in information includes the code to the keyless entry front door. You simply arrive, use the code given to you and walk in the front door. It's that easy!
What is check-in time? Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Can I check in early? We will try to accommodate early check-ins. Please contact us at least 7 days prior to arrival with your request. It all depends on whether we are able to ensure that the house has been cleaned following the check-out of the previous guest.
Will it cost me more to check in early? No.
Is it a problem if I arrive late at night? Not at all. Ours is a private home with a private entry. You just use the keyless entry and walk in. It's that simple.
If I arrive early, can I drop off my baggage anyway? Please ensure that the previous guest is not still there! You may leave bags in the front hall only, to ensure that the cleaners are able to clean the hourse fully before you move in.

Check-out information.

How do I check out? All you have to do is close the front door and turn the lock! Just make sure you leave behind, in the house, anything belonging to it, i.e: key to the hot tub, garage door opener, etc.
What is check-out time? Check-out time is 10:00am.
Can I check out late? Please request a late check-out at least 7 days prior to arrival. We will do our best to accommodae your request.
Will it cost me more to check out late? Only if you are checking out so late that our cleaners can't get in the same day, and we do not have another guest coming in: we will charge for an extra night. There is no extra charge for a regular late check-out.
What if I'm not ready to leave at check-out time? This creates a problem with the cleaners trying to get in to do their job in time for the next guest to arrive. Check-out time is mandatory unless we have approved a late check-out.

Lost and found.

What happens if I leave things behind in your home? How do I get them back? Any of your personal effects left behind in the unit will be sent on to you, at your cost, either by regular mail or via courier at your request.

Emergencies

What if something goes wrong while I am staying in your home? We will provide you with a 24 hour on-call, in-resort, emergency contact number. Also, in our home, you will find a full collection of all the information you could possibly want, and more.

Housekeeping

What if the house has not been cleaned when I arrive? We are pleased to say that this has never happened, and we doubt it will. BUT, if it does, call the emergency contact person and the situation will be remedied as quickly as possible. If the problem can't be remedied until the next day, we will certainly do our best to compensate you for the inconvenience.

Hot tub.

Where is the hot tub located? The hot tub is right outside the living room on a private patio.
How private is private? The hot tub is for your use only. It is not shared by guests in any other unit. The same is true of the patio. However, the patio and hot tub can be seen from other units, so private does not mean "hidden".

Guest Services

Where can I get discount lift tickets? Buy on-line on AlluraDirect.com. You will get the full discount, you can pick them up in advance and get preferred customer service at the base.
Where can I get good equipment rentals? Order on-line on AlluraDirect.com. You get a 20%discount, FREE overnight storage, preferred customer service and advance pick-up.

Miscellaneous questions

What should I be sure to remember to bring? Anything of a personal nature which you just can't live without: favourite perfume, medications, etc. Other things to bring: hot tub sandals, bathing suit, anything you like to wear for working out at the gym or playing tennis.
What do you have that I wouldn't expect? Lots! An extra back pack, laundry detergent and fabric softener, bathrobes, kitchen gadgets, very comfortable beds!

 About Us

We first visited Whistler at the invitation of a friend. As expected, we were hooked. Several visits later we visited a unit in Montebello, and thought "Wow, this is different". One year later we purchased a unit of our own, our home away from home.
