Our fully equipped ski in and ski out chalet has unlimited luxury and amenities, hot tub,media room,gourmet kitchen,4.5bathrooms two with full steam outlets,full size pool and foosball table, hot tub, just to mention a few. Four levels with a loft King ensuite bedroom and separate sitting area overlooking the main floor's cathedral ceiling, soaring stone fireplace, and wall of glass with spectacular mountain views! Full equipped gourmet kitchen will delight any cook. Large dining harvest table seats 12 comfortably, plus seating for 3 at the bar island. Bottom two floors have 4 bedrooms (2 Kings with ensuite, 1 Queen and 2 doudle bunks). Games room with regulation pool table, foosball & TV, surround sound media room; study. 5 bathrooms, heated slate flooring-3 ensuites, 2 steam showers, 'spa' includes soaker tub, steam shower with rainhead shower and body sprays. Kitchen

A large granite island below a rustic fully equipped pot rack houses a bar sink, abundant counter space and storage. On the north and east wall the appliances, Fridge, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher are found. As we love to cook we have tried to stock our kitchen with equipment to cook at all levels. To date we have not needed to leave the mountain top to complete a meal. The barbeque on the front deck can cook 15 steaks at a time if required. If you like to cook or not you should enjoy our kitchen as we do.

Living Area

Black leather tooled furniture rests on a natural red pine floor covered with a large persian carpet, upon which rest an antique Nova Scotia sea captain's chest for magazines and amenities.The east wall fireplace of stone dominates the wall with bookshelves on either end and rises to the 20 foot cathedral ceilings with their hand hewn beams. On the south all glass to view the mountians by day and the stars by night.

Dining Area

Our 10 foot antique Quebec Monastery table with 10 chicken coop chairs rest upon the red pine floors and together with pine Mennonite Hutch and side board are found adjacent to the gourmet kitchen with views to the south and east and the mountains and fir trees beyond.

Special Features

Our Chalet, before we saw or purchased it, was featured on the cover of Dream Home Magazine in 2003 for western Canada. When we first saw the chalet it was truly our dream home but did not know others thought so! Now that we own it we wish to share that dream with your family and friends.We have furnished our chalet for our family use and for yours. We hope you will enjoy our chalet with its panoramic views of the mountains to the south and all of the comforts the layout and furnishings can provide.

Art we hope you enjoy our tastes and collection as it grows.
Decor Pine and quebec cherry pieces are complimented by leather sofas and chairs and many antiques that we have collected over the last 30 years.
Exposure our chalet faces south with the ski areas behind as well as the village and other residences
Fireplace stone with a large mantel and raised hearth that is approx. 8 feet wide and 20 feet high. withan efficient and clean gas fireplace that provdes heat, warmth atmosphere and romance.-yes the flame appears natural.
Lofted/Cathedral Ceilings The 20 foot ceilings in the living area with their hand hewn beams are complimrented by the stone fireplace and mantel on the east wall and the full glass exposure on the south.
Trim natural wood floors in the living dining room areas together with natural wood trim and hand hewn beams add to the rustic quality of our chalet.
Views to the south east and west your view of the mountains and wilderness are unobstructed.

You only share the view, the driveway and the ski access with others.We have complete Ski in and Ski out immediately adjacent to the Chalet.The hot tub, games room and media center are for you alone. With 3600 square feet of living space private times can easily be created.

Services

Big White is a small community on a large ski mountain. All restaurants, ski shops mountain services and day care through Big White Ski School are accessible by foot or ski within 5 minutes. It is imperative that groceries be purchased in Kelowna on your way to the mountain or by phone in advance through the local IGA in Kelowna which histoically delivers on orders in excess of one Hundred dollars. There is a grocery/deli/ liquour store on the mountain.

Christmas Tree/Decorations If you book christmas a tree will have to be purchased and disposed of.
Garbage Pickup There is a garbage collection site 5 minutes drive from the chalet on the road into the resort between Gem lake and the ridge rocket Chairs.garbage and recycles are to be kept separate. There is no garbage collection so please take your garbage to the collection depot. Garbage pick up has now been arranged twice per week during ski season only.

Location

On the road into the village of Big White our chalet requires a left turn before the ski bridge over the road at Whitehorse Road and then another left turn at the second drive into the Pinnacles complex. We are the first chalet on the far left. From the Kelowna Airport we are 50 minutes away (without stops). Up Highway 33 to the Big White Road and then 28 kilometers or so to the village.WE are 4 minutes walk to the village with ski in and ski out access to three(3) lifts 1 minute away.

 Policies

Our policies are very simple.You are a guest in our home and we ask that you treat our chalet as your home and appreciate and respect and care for all that the chalet can offer you. we appreciate that damage can occur but in 2006/2007 ski season we experienced damage to our deck, and appliances from excessive or boisterous behaviour. We have refrained from charging a damage deposit to date, so we ask if you do break something please tell us so it can be repaired for the future guests. if damage does occur, tell us , please.

Our chalet is non smoking and we ask that the number of guests do not exceed 12 persons maximium.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Arrival Days Please do not try and check in before 4:00 pm or the unit will not be cleaned.Check out is at 10:00 am or earlier to allow cleaning for the next guest.
Cancellations Made by Guests Cancellation of bookings prior to 45 days before arrival date will give rise to forfeiture of deposit.Cancellation in the 45 days before arrival results in the full booking cost being forfeited .
Delayed Arrivals There is no refund for delayed arrivals .
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information All such information can be obtianed through e-mail acess or by phone to our Home # 905 528 2690.In emergencies if all else fails contact our cell 905 317 6505.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses
Late Reservation Payments if arranged late payments for a period of 5 days can be made at a cost of $25 per day.of default. Thereafter the reservation can be cancelled at owners discretion as per cancellation policies.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise our chalet is separate but attached to the other 4 units . please respect our neighbours and their privacy and conduct yourself not to disrupt others holidays.
Garbage Removal Garbage will be picked up from the garage on Tuesday and Departure. Please separate into garbage and recyclables.Garbage may be dropped at garbage hut on main road 2 kilos from village .
Housekeeping Guest are responsible to keep unit clean and clear snow from the decks as required for their use .
Liability Guest use our chalet at their own risk .We are not responsible for any loss or damage to guest property and or personal injury that the guests or their invitees may suffer.
Locking Door All exterior doors should be locked on departure. The door from chalet to the garage should be left unlocked .
Maintenance Emergencies If there are maintenance or emergencies then the contact information should be used. Cleaning supplies and equipment are supplied and guests should do daily cleaning as necessary. contact Al Reid 250 212 7508
Maximum Sleeping Capacity the chalet can accommodate up to 12 guests comfortably . there are 3 king beds ,1 queen and 2 bunk beds encompassing 4 double size mattresses.
Missing Items Any items that are missing or damaged during your stay will be your responsibility to replace at current market values.
Noise Restrictions guests must appreciate that other persons are near by and their enjoyment and solitude must be respected.Hot tub and or deck use safter 9:30 pm should be respectful of others.
Policy Updates Will be made on the website from time to time and guest are asked to check the website.
Property Damage We trust our chalet to our guests . if damage occurs we trust our guest to report the damage and replace the damage .

Don't Forget!

Fill up your gas tank before you get to Big White Make sure you purchase your groceries and refreshments , knibblies etc in Kelowna before your trip up to the mountain. Otherwise the cost per item increases and the supply ,availability and choice are diminished.Grocery and liquour stores as well as Starbuck"s Costco are all on 33. Along 97 there are a Number of stores . There is a grocery/deli/liquour store on the mountain.Cooper"s groceries on Highway33 does have reduced price lift tickets

We are a family of five. We fell in love with Big White in the Christmas of 2003 and soon after became residents. Our family has skied together for in excess of 20 years. We hope that you enjoy our Dream Home and our approach to decorating. My wife and I cherish the time in Big White away from fax, e-mail, voicemail, and telephone to recharge our batteries, knowing if necessary all that is just a phone connection away. We enjoy the mountain biking, hiking and wineries of the spring, summer and fall. We enjoy the white boughs of the fir trees and the light powder of the winter as the mountain comes alive with activity. Whatever season you choose to visit, your body and mind will get a full workout and the chalet will be your respite from such vigour. Big White is to enjoy and explore. We do. Go ahead and try.

Great unit for families

What an awesome unit. The view is amazing, unit is large and great for a couple of families. The kitchen has everything you need. Games and Media rooms are a great option for apres ski. Ski right out and down to to Ridge or Snow Ghost Chairs. Ski in is a bit trickier, but overall a superior spot to stay!

Wonderful family retreat

We held a multi-family vacation at Pinnacles 1 and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities of the home as well as the Big White experience. We would definitely recommend the multi-level home as a tremendous place to stay. Each of three families with 5 children ranging from 0 - 14 had space to play (together and apart). The excitement was shared when the hot tub crew got stuck in the snow in the driveway! Seriously all the necessities are provided including comfy robes. Would love to see it in the summer! When the littlest is ready to ski we'll be ready to return.

Nice place. Have stayed there for the past several years. No upgrades since I have started staying there. Will not stay there again when there are other more modern similar size places for the same price.

We love Pinnacles 1!

This is the second time we have stayed at Pinnacles 1 and would not hesitate to return again. Both visits, our group consisted of two families with teenagers sharing the space. It is perfect for this type of trip because the multiple floors allows people to have their own space when they need it but to come together in the great room and kitchen for shared meals and evenings. Sitting around that long dining room table with friends and family, eating a home-cooked dinner and the mountain view wrapping around the house - what could be better after a long day of outdoor activity. The pool table, outdoor hot tub/spa and entertainment systems adds to the "home away from home" comfort and experience. The location allows easy ski in and out and the village is close enough. The view is spectacular and the skiing/snowboarding awesome - so many runs - no waiting for lifts - reasonable in cost. All in all, Pinnacles 1 at Big White shapes a excellent ski vacation for a family.

Beautiful cabin, with all the amenities of a high-scale hotel

This was our second time staying at the cabin, and I guarantee we're hoping to stay there again next year and in years to come. The cabin has all the amenities we require and more and is very comfortable. The one comment we had which we encountered the last time we were there also is the dishwasher not working well. Last time the handle didn't work and this time it didn't cycle through so we would manually do it and we also didn't think it cleaned the dishes well. Other than that, no complaints. Thank you for allowing us to rent your chalet. This was far better than we expected our vacation to be. The chalet itself is beautiful. All of us appreciated the comfortable beds and linens. (not always the case with rentals!) The spaciousness, furnishings and design was so comfortable and so much mountain chalet style. All of us loved the location; it made it so easy to go for a few runs in the morning, home for lunch and then back out again. The kids would often go down to happy Valley or up to the village - and your place is conveniently between the two. It also helps that we had such great snow conditions too. It wasn't that busy on the lifts so hardly any wait time - if any at all. Just a great vacation for everyone. Thank you, thank you! kinds regards, Blair, Lorraine and family.
