Ski-in, Ski-out convenience. A gentle slope goes right past the back door down to the Plaza chair (for beginners) and the Ridge Rocket Express. Alternatively ski right down to Happy Valley and the Big White Gondola. Getting to the village is easy - you're just a few minutes from the Gondola (walk downhill) or a 5 minute walk uphill straight to the village centre.

Arrival Days We accept arrivals on any day of the week.
Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit payment non-refundable. Balance payment is refundable, less 4% transaction fees, if booking is cancelled 60 days or greater in advance. Reservations cancelled 59 days or less in advance are refunded only if we replace your booking. These refunds issued the first day of your (cancelled) arrival where applicable.
Courtesy Hold Reservations We do not hold reservation without payment. Payment is required for reservation confirmation
Delayed Arrivals No refunds . We are not responsible for arrival delays
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Emailed when balance of payment is paid .
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Reservation Changes Reservations may be changed in compliance with our cancellation policy. You may lengthen your reservation if availability permits. If you have not paid the balance,then it will be re-adjusted to reflect your shortened reservation.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Will result in eviction .
Housekeeping Includes clean on arrival; cleaned after departure; complimentary midstay clean provided for bookings of 8 or more nights. Additional cleaning may be scheduled at the guest's request and expense.
Liability We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Big White.
Maintenance Emergencies Complete emergency contacts provided for booked guests .
Maximum Sleeping Capacity Strictly 9 people maximum . More will result in eviction
Missing Items Guests authorize a credit card charge for missing items as per my stated damage deposit policies.
Noise Restrictions Excessive noise from the hot tub area is not permitted after 10pm. Occupants may be evicted subsequent to noise complaints and will be charged for damages resulting from the noise complaints. The outdoor hot tub area can be used after 10pm, but please engage only in quiet conversation after 10pm out of respect for our neighboring families.

Property Damage Guest authorizes up to a $2000 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items, smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property.

 About Us

Hi, Thanks for visiting our Big White pages.

We hope you love Blacksmith Lodge and Big White as much as we do! We live in the Netherlands, near Amsterdam, and generally spend about 50-60 days a year skiing & snowboarding in Big White. We have a 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl who love being in the snow. Our boy is now a "Hot Shot" in the ski program, and our girl is just starting to ski.

We both work for Airlines; Irma is a stewardess with KLM and Nick is a longhaul pilot for British Airways. On our travels we've been to lots of ski resorts and nothing comes close to the value-for-money, powder snow and convenience of Big White. Please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions. We'd love to hear from you!
