We are only about 400 yards from the Wizard Chair base at Blackcomb and are far better than any hotel. :-) Our pricing policy is one that keeps us full every year, especially with NO HOTEL TAX or GST! Our two bedroom, two bathroom townhome is very open and spacious at 1200 sq. ft all on one level. The two bedrooms are down the hall and away from the main living area for privacy and quiet for those who want to sleep while others still lounge, enjoy the fire or watch a movie.

The kitchen is a large open plan with loads of counter space and features the island center piece. It is fully equiped including a microwave, disherwasher, ice maker in the fridge and lots of extras! Nice large wine glasses, cutlery, dishes and cooking utensils for many great meals. We even include some wonderful spices for your cooking pleasure.

Living Area

The livingroom is spacious and open with two cozy leather couches and a large leather chair. This is where you can enjoy the fire, a movie, games and more! One of the couches houses a double hide-a-bed.

Dining Area

Warm and also spacious. The diningroom includes a full sized dining table that easily seats six people. For your added guests you can even add the two extra leaves that are stored in the bedroom closet. We supply the utensils, place mats, candles and all you need for your fine dining or basic meals.

Location

The Benchlands location is considered one of the best in Blackcomb & Whistler due to its easy access to everything. Our home is virtually ski-in, ski-out. You will only need to cross one road on the way to the slopes and there is trail access to ski back home. It is only about an 8 minute walk to the Wizard chair at Blackcomb or you can take the Free shuttle which is just a few steps from our front door. (see the pink heart on the map) Walking to shopping and resturants is easy... as short as 8 mintutes. The Super Market and Liquor Store are only a 12 - 15 minute walk or a 1 - 2 minute drive. During the summer, you are a one wood away from the Chateau Golf Pro shop and a 10 minute walk to Lost Lake and hiking is out your front door. Simply, this is one of the premier locations and we love it!

Our favourite season in Whistler and why. Truly this is a very difficult choice. We spend most time there in the fall; however, the summer is great... Each season brings its own wonderful experience.

The Drive to Whistler

Best radio station If you do not have a CD player, I would say that 92.6 for as long as you can get it, then Mountain FM for up to date snow and road reports at 102.3
My safety tips for drivers new to Hwy 99 Try to arrive in daylight & plan for bad weather. If you are arriving late at night (YOUR TIME), either stay in Vancouver, or opt for the 24 hour airport shuttle via Whistler Star Express. The drive is challenging in the dark. Check out Guest Services for info about the shuttle (you get a discount!) Please note that this is not a great place to teach your son/daughter to drive. Skilled drivers only!!

Getting the Check-in Info

Q: How do I get the check-in info? A: When we receive your final payment, we will send you resort information, complete instructions and emergency contact information via email at least 5 days in advance of your stay.
Q: What if I leave my package at home by mistake? A: Please let us know as soon as possible (while you are en route) and we will give you the access code and information you require! Be sure to remember the name Allura Direct and pack a couple of phone numbers in different places so you have some contact... we will assist you and have it sorted out so you can enjoy your holiday!

Checking In & Out

Q: How do I check-in? A: We will send you an email with instructions. You just arrive in Whistler and go straight to the property. You do not have to go anywhere first - just start having a great time and go DIRECTLY to our home!
Q: What is the Check In/Out Time? A: 4:00pm is check in - 10:00 am is check out.
Q: Can I check-in early or check out late? A: Please check with us a few days before you arrive. If someone is leaving on your arrival day, then we cannot guarantee that it will be ready before 4:00 pm or after 10:00 am. Sometimes, you can check in early or leave late - please inquire!
Q: Can I leave my stuff there when I arrive even if it has not been cleaned yet? A : Yes, as long as the previous guest's are gone, and you leave everything in the hall with a note for our cleaners. KNOCK ON THE DOOR IF YOU ARE ARRIVING BEFORE 4:00 PM!! If you leave things in the hall before it is cleaned, there is a possbility they will not be moved, leaving the hall floor unwashed. Although this would not usually happen, at times the cleaners are very backed up.
Q: Do I have to pay more for an early check-in? A: No. We will do this as courtesy if possbile.
Q: What happens if we are not ready to leave at 10 am and the cleaners show up? A: The 10 am check-out time is strictly enforced, unless you have confirmed a late check-out with us. If you leave late, then the next guest will arrive to a messy townhome because our cleaners could not clean it on time. They will be left waiting until the evening before they can start their vacation! How would you feel if it was YOU? We have not needed to do this; however, a security company will be called to escort you out if you are not on your way out!
Q: How do I check out? A: Return all keys to their hooks. Return the Parking pass to the top of the hooks. Turn out the lights and turn the heat down to 10 C. And be sure you lock the door behind you!

Q: What it something goes wrong? A: We have 24 hour emergency support. Contact information is provided with final payment!
Q: What if the property is not cleaned when we get there? A: If it is after 4 pm, something likely went wrong. This is very unlikely; however, contact us, and we will fix it immediately. If we are unable to do so, there is a complete set of clean linens in the property, and the property will be properly cleaned first thing the next morning. We will also be doing our best to compensate you for the mistake.
