Furthermore, we found it to be extremely clean! The beds were so comfortable. We were 7 of us and we did not feel crowded. Everyone had his own space. The location was also great since we could walk and have lunch at the condo the day we went skiing. We enjoyed immensely our stay. The Glacier Lodge complex can be found in the Upper Village very close to the Wizard Express high speed chair lift. The ski school, and Blackcomb Day lodge are extremely close, making after skiing pick up of children very convenient.
The Upper Village is favoured by those who want proximity to all Village attractions, while staying in a quieter neighbourhood . The Upper Village has a great selection of boutiques, ski shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. If on departure the cleaning exceeds 5 hours this cost will be chaged at an hourly rate of $35 Cdn plus gst tax back to the guest. The cleaning company inform owners and we advise guests if the cleaning was excessive and what if so what charges will apply.
We pre approve a damage deposit for the amount of $500 This is activated at the front desk on arrival/check-in by staff. This is not charged at all, this is an approval only. On departure should there be any damage to the property the client will be contacted bu us regarding damage and outcome. If you have any questions regarding this please dont hesiate to contact us prior to your departure. Pease make life easier by discussing any damage that may have occurred prior to check-out. Excessive cleaning will be charged back to the client accordingly.

Guest Stay Policies
|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|

|Excessive Cleaning Costs||Guest is responsible for paying excessive cleaning costs stemming from extraordinary cleaning above the standard typical Guest stay. Cleaning associated with defacing the property, or above the standard fees is considered property damage.|
|Excessive Noise||This is a family-oriented, quiet development. Noise complaints may result in eviction by local police or security personnel. Normal conversation and laughing pitch is permitted. Screaming, swearing, yelling, etc are not.|
|Garbage Removal||All guests are to remove garbage on days the condo is not serviced or where required. P1 level of complex|
|Housekeeping||Includes clean on arrival; cleaned after departure; every 5th day if staying 8 days or more.|
|Internet Availability & Usage||Glacier Lodge guests enjoy free internet access. Details are in condo, a tech support telephone number is provided. The front desk staff will provide access codes for the network as they do change every couple of weeks|
|Liability||The Guest doing the booking is responsible and liable for all damages for ensuring that these policies are respected and adhered to. Guest releases property owners from liability for theft or injury while in transit to the property, in the property,or on resort lands|
|Locking Door||All guests must lock door when leaving the property.|
|Maintenance Emergencies||Please contact our front desk for all questions during your stay|
|Maximum Sleeping Capacity||8 people overnight - excess occupants will result in eviction.|

|Noise Restrictions||Disturbing neighboring residents is prohibited. Fines will be levied on the spot to Guests who are disturbing the peace. Guests may also be evicted from the premise by the strata security company. Guests are also responsible for fines levied agains the Owner as result of noise bylaw infringements by the Guest. Normal conversation pitch is accepted. Continued screaming, yelling and/or swearing is not. The Owner will not refund evicted Guests.|
|Parking & Ticketing||Parking is underground and secured. Please pay on arrival at front desk $12 daily, less per day for longer stays|
|Property Damage||Guest assumes all financial responsibility for property damage incured by tennants or guest of tennants. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment, you agree to pay us for all damages you incur. An approvalof $1200 covers any damage that may occur to our laptop, plasma TV and our property contents|
|Rental Accommodation Zoning||This property is zoned for nightly rentals.|

The location is wonderful, convenient to every where; only I would like to point out is 2 bathrooms (hot water) cannot enough for 8 persons keep continue to use, will need to wait around 15~20 minutes for water boiling for after 2~3 persons shower, only 1 hair dryer to use, dinning table only with 7 chairs.

The unit is very spacious but needs updating. There needs to be more hooks by the door for wet ski jackets, pants, etc. We couldn't get the DVD player to work in the living room. We loved the location and amenities of the lodge....pool and hot tub were great.View Full Review

The location is fabulous. We were 7 men and found it tight around the dining room table and in the kitchen. We loved the facility especially the ski storage privileges in the rental shop? We will likely book again next year.View Full Review

The kitchen is not as well equipped as we expected as we usually eat in most of the time. The unit is a little tired. Love the location. We will definitely need the king size bed split for our next booking at the end of January.View Full Review

Comfortable 'home away from home'

We were a family of 6 adults and 1 baby visiting Whistler and loved the fact that we found such a homely place to stay whilst visiting our daughter who was working in Whistler. Even though it is advertised as a 2 bedroom plus loft - it is more like 3 main bedrooms as they were fairly spacious. The 2 bathrooms also came in very handy.
Loved the ambiance of the fireplace and the fact that the balcony and windows faced the plaza leading up to the base of Blackcomb mountain. The skiers in our family made use of being so close to the mountain. The main Whistler village was only a 10 minute walk which we enjoyed doing every day. Even though we had 2 cars, we hardly used them.

Needs repairs and a good cleaning.

After putting down a $500 security deposit we go to,the condo and find a smoke detector hanging from wires, a dining room table that is delaminating, and a ceiling fan missing over half of one of its blades. We contact the owner and are told that he is aware of the broken items and it's not a big deal. It IS a big deal when you've just put down a security deposit and are not told of the item that are already broken! Additionally, the unit's dishes and cooking appliances were filthy - but put away in their cabinets as if they had been cleaned. The electric griddle looked like someone had used it to melt a slice of cheese directly on the unit before it was put back into the cabinet. The coffee cups had dried coffee in them - yet they were in the cabinet as if they were clean. Internet was also spotty and had a 500mb/day download limit.

We did speak to the client on check in after they noticed the fan and reassured them that we were aware of the fan and that there was no concern about it being charged to them as damage. I also explained that there is NOT A CHARGE to the client, it is merely a "hold" on the card and that there is no charge...this is standard practice in any car rental or hotel rental. I did reassure them that we were aware of the fan issue and that there would not be any issue for them in this regard. I mentioned that we would have the handy man come push the functioning smoke detector back into its dock. With respect to the dirty coffee cups and the sandwich grill, when I was notified by the guest the next day, we offered imeadiately to send cleaning staff in to rectify the deficiencies however the guest declined and said that they had cleaned the items. With respect to the internet, I am confused as we provide our own private network specific to our property and it is secured, private and has unlimited use. There is a "limited" internet connection which is common for the whole complex however as mentioned we provide our own service so the clients will have the better service. The apartment is very comfortable, if getting a little tired in its fittings. A few things didn't work (power point in the master bathroom, tap drips in master bathroom) and a number of lights were blown and some of the wooden chests of drawers and bathroom vanities looked very worn. The cleaning service was terrific if a little unpredictable in their schedule.

The oven did not function until it was repaired on our last of five days. We spent literally hours of our time pouring over the oven manual. We are a family that likes to relax and cook together after skiing and had our two university-aged sons home for the holidays with us - so the lack of oven changed the dynamic terribly. We were thankfully given access to a unit in a different building to cook our Christmas roast (where the fire alarm went off for the entire two hours) and then drive it home in the cold. We ate three meals out at restaurants that we had not planned on. It is troubling to us that we have yet to be offered any reduction or reimbursement by the owners for this and will have to make a formal request it appears. The unit was also not very clean -we didn't go looking for dirt and are definitely not neat freaks - but the ceiling lights, lampshades, windowsills were coated with grunge and yes, I killed one cockroach in the kitchen. The kitchen faucet also requires a simple repair with a wrench- the cleaning staff must be aware of it. And the microwave turns itself on if left plugged in! And the unit desperately needs a new unwarped frying pan.

This year was the fifth that we have rented this unit or its twin next door. As always it is perfect for the 5 guys on our trip. excellent accomodations in a central location.Close to lifts and village - Merlins nachos around the corner - underground parking - hot tub - it has it all. Rental shop on site.We will be back!

My 3 grand-daughters, their parents, my husband & I loved this place. It had everything & more. Close proximity to Blackcomb base helped immensely. The basement ski shop where we dropped off our ski stuff was most helpful & convenient. Tv's in the very comfortable Br's allowed different viewing pleasure, & the computer in the MBR would have come in handy had we time to use it. There were more than enough towels in the bathrooms, & what a delight the kitchen was! We were able to have my son's family & nephew's family over for an asian noodle soup one night, as you had so many big bowls available (they were staying in another condo & I'd brought my own disposable chopsticks). We had a blast. My husband & I didn't ski but walked easily over to watch our grandchildren, some of whom were skiing for the first time. I also appreciated Peter's prompt responses to my email enquiries, & being allowed some flexibility in our checking in & out times when it was possible. Although we didn't use the concierge service, they were most solicitous.
