Alan Lande, who traded the type-A bustle of the Montreal fashion business for a laid-back lifestyle of snowboarding, skiing, and golf, rents some of the best ski- in/ski-out condos and town homes through his company Whistlersbest Accommodations. (On a snowy day, there's nothing better than being able to throw your ski clothes in the dryer for a few minutes between runs!) Lande insists that since he is an owner operator and doesn't have to include the usual 40% mark-up to cover management fees, his prices are below market value.

Lande and his wife, Eileen, both of whom have impeccable taste and are incredibly discriminating, have made sure that every condominium they rent is outfitted with all the amenities they would want at home. This includes down comforters and pillows, expensive linens, fully equipped kitchens (cappuccino machines, blenders, etc.), washers and dryers and Jacuzzi tubs or hot tubs. The best thing about renting from Lande is that you'll probably get to meet him. Besides being charming and lots of fun, he is a true Whistler insider ready to share his wealth of information regarding favorite restaurants, preferred extreme skiing spots or the best places to shop. One of his properties, an extremely large two-bedroom, two bath condo with wood-burning fireplace in the Carleton Lodge ($450/night CDN), is located literally at the point where both the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas depart.

 Property Description

Townhouse features a private ground floor entrance and is extremely comfortable. The Master bedroom with its own ensuite with heated tiles and jacuzzi style tub has a queen size bed and large TV. The 2nd bedroom, also with its own large shower ensuite with heated tiles, has a double/twin bunk bed. The gourmet kitchen with granite countertops opening up to the diningroom is a chefs delight. The private deck with a gas barbeque looks over some spectacular mountain scenery. An extremely comfortable livingroom with queen size sofabed , fireplace, entertainment centre with giant screen TV, VCR and CD player awaits our guests for their use and enjoyment.

Whistler Village is a mere 5 minute drive.  Your booking includes free use of a central, reserved, underground, secure  Whistler Village parking spot right at the base of the Blackcomb AND Whistler gondolas.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Delayed Arrivals No refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals!
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information by email
Excessive Noise Excessive noise which disturbs others in the building between the hours of 10:30pm and 8:00am is prohibited according to strictly enforced strata bylaws. You will get evicted without a refund!
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site

Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Late Reservation Payments Failure to pay by due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged.

Alan, an ex-ski racer has 16 years experience as a certified ski instructor, ski coach and snowboard instructor. We know both mountains intimately and can personally guide you to your best level of skiing or snowboarding. We can pre-arrange ski and snowboard lessons, or any other alpine needs. Eileen is a fair weather skier and can expertly guide the women to the best shopping in town!!! Meagan, our 14-year-old daughter, has been skiing since she was 18 months old and loves to show other kids the "kid's version" of Whistler if you wish.
