The Gables is one of only a few complexes in Whistler that are considered ski-in/ski-out, close to Whistler Village, and set in a quiet forested area making it easy to get a good night’s sleep.

Private entrance, about 150 yards to the Blackcomb Lift Base, Kids Kamp, and Daylodge. Shopping and Restaurants are about 400 yards walk along the Village Trail. If you are flying in to Vancouver Airport, take the Shuttle or Limo to & from our condo, no rental car needed, walk to everything in minutes.

Amenities include, a park-like setting beside a mountain creek with a covered bridge directly opposite Blackcomb base, heated slate-tile floors, river rock fireplace, log accents, fully-equipped open kitchen great for entertaining, new appliances, and two and a half baths.

Shared Amenities

Guest Parking Free Parking for up to 2 cars : One car above ground with the valid Gables Parking Pass if snow conditions and space permit. We only have one pass. Hang it from your rear view mirror if you park above ground or you will be towed. Tow trucks patrol 8 am to 5 pm all year. Otherwise you can park underground in our reserved stall # 54. No pass is required to park underground. The Garage Key and Parking Pass are found inside our condo. Please leave them in the foyer for the next guest when you check out. The only additional parking for visitors or extra cars is in the Whistler municipal Pay Parking lots nearby at various rates and rules on the signs at the entrances. Please Note the height restriction for The Gables underground parking lot is a maximum of 6 ft 6 inches. Roof-rack ski boxes will not fit. Guests are responsible for any damages. Please leave the Parking Pass and Garage Key hanging in the condo foyer for the next guest. Strata Replacement fee is $100 each for key or pass if it is not available for the next guest.

This townhome is located between the Blackcomb Ski Lift base and Whistler Village.

It is considered as Ski In / Ski Out by Whistler under a 3-5 minute walk.

Normally about 150 - 200 yards, depending on snow conditions, to the Blackcomb Lift base from our front door and about 400 yards into the Village for grocery shopping and restaurants across the covered bridge over Fitzsimmons Creek.

Whistler Blackcomb Ski School & Daycare is located directly opposite our townhouse condo. No car needed. Walk to everything in minutes.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit and Rent is Non-Refundable Once Paid Unless We Can Re-Rent For At Least the Same Amount. 4% CC Expenses Charged if Applicable. We will do our best if you have to cancel for any reason.
Delayed Arrivals We are Not Responsible for any unused nights for any reason not under our control, including but not limited to travel delays, weather, snow, medical, etc.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Coded Lock # to Access. Automatically emailed upon making Balance of Payment.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Please Observe Strata quiet hours 11pm - 8am. Thank you.
Garbage Removal Lock the Bins and Save a Bear. Garbage Bins are located at each end of the Parking Lot. Put all Trash into the appropriate metal bins and Lock them with the chain and bar to make them bear proof. Thank you.
Housekeeping Provided before arrival and after departure. Additional housekeeping may be available on request at your expense.
Liability We Do Not Accept Any Liability for Injuries or Illness Sustained While Staying In Our Condo. Use the stairs inside and outside at your own risk and choose pathways carefully. Snow and Icy conditions can change quickly in winter.
Maintenance Emergencies Call Housekeeping for Cleaning issues and supplies. Call Owner for Emergency Repairs. Telephone and email posted in condo.
Maximum Sleeping Capacity Maximum 10 people by permission and contract. Please do not exceed this number without inquiring with us first. Thank you.
Parking & Ticketing Parking information will be provided in your check-in and arrival instructions email and is displayed in our condo. We are not liable for any parking tickets or towing fees you may incur. Reserved parking for 1 car is available underground in our numbered parking stall. Parking for 1 more car may be available outside if space and snow permits, but only with our valid Gables numbered parking pass displayed on your dash.
Policy Updates Policies are subject to change without notice.
Property Damage Guests agree to reimburse the owner for the following: Replacement Parking Pass or Garage Key at $100 each, any common property damage, excessive cleaning charges or condo property damage beyond normal wear and tear, missing or broken items, dry cleaning of drapes and sofas from smoking inside the condo, plumbing repairs and flood restoration if toilets or tubs / showers overflow, and any cleaning from pets inside the condo, plus any costs to replace or repair the glass ceramic cook top if chipped or cracked, or marks and dents made to the stainless steel fridge, and marks or scratches made to the furniture, walls, log beams and woodwork inside condo. We will not charge for normal wear and tear. If something does happen, please let us know and we will have it repaired or replaced at cost and supply receipts. Any damage deposit collected will be applied and receipts supplied. Thank you.

Bike Friendly?

Is the condo bike friendly? Yes, we have made it so. We have installed a 4 ft x 8 ft steel locker against a concrete wall in our parking stall in the secured underground parking lot. It will hang up to 8 bikes for overnight storage. We also provide wood bike stands and two 12 ft cable locks to store bikes at our front door during the day or overnight if you wish. A wash hose is available beside our front door as well. The Valley Trail is 50 yards in front, and the Whistler Mountain bike lift is approx 400 yards ride away. Garbanza Bike shop is located here too and offers overnight storage for a small fee right at the bottom of the lift. Its about a 3 - 4 min walk. A patio deck beside our front door can be used for minor repairs. Our condo is surrounded by numerous bike stores with rentals, equipment and repairs. Whistler grew up a ski resort but has adapted to become a world class bike destination in summer. We welcome bikers and any suggestions you have to make our condo more bike friendly. But please, no bikes inside the condo. Thanks.

How Spacious is the condo?

How Spacious is the condo? Many guests tell us it is ideal for 2 families sharing. It is 1500 ft2 on 3 floors with 4 separate sleeping areas and 8 beds. It will sleep 8 - 10 people easily. The DR and LR seat 7 - 8 adults. We would not describe it as really spacious, but very family casual and open for entertaining. We bought this condo because our best feature is an awesome location within a few minutes walking distance to both the lifts and village for ourselves and kids. Space is a premium close to the lifts. As Whistler was developed the more spacious condos tend to be further away from the lifts. We are a family of 5 and often have friends with us skiing. Please Contact owner if you have any questions. We will give you candid answers to make sure you love our unit as we do.

Ski In / Ski Out

How close are the lifts? We have paced it off at approx 150 yards or about a 2 - 3 minute walk over to the Blackcomb lift base area, depending on snow conditions and which paths are cleared, so considered Ski-in / Ski-out by Whistler. Getting to the Lifts --------------------- From our front door choose the safest path to the left or the right that has been cleared, depending on snow conditions, which takes you out to the Village Trail. Walk through the pedestrian underpass and up the steps to the base of Blackcomb. The Daylodge, Chairlift and Ski School / Daycare are directly in front. You can ski both mountains easily now by using the Peak 2 Peak Gondola at the top included in your ticket price.

Lift Tickets and Ski Rentals

Can I get a discount on Lift Tickets and Ski Rentals and Order them ahead of time? Yes! Order through this web site on-line. Best lift ticket discounts are preseason orders before Nov 15. After this, you must order at least 4 days in advance of use to qualify for a lessor discount of about 10-12%. Discounts are not available in Whistler on the day of use, so order ahead of time. Pick up at Blackcomb Daylodge across from our condo where you can also rent all ski or snowboard equipment.

Groceries

What is Available? There are three big grocery stores (IGA, Whistler Village, and Nester's) and a couple of liquor stores in Whistler as well as many small delis and cold beer/wine stores.

Late Arrival

Our flights get us in late. Can we arrive really late? No problem. We have a Coded Front Door Lock and you will be given the code ahead of time.

Late Check-Out

Our flights leave late at night. Can we Check Out late so we don't have to sit around the airport for hours? Sorry no. Most of our bookings are back-to-back and our cleaners need all 5 hours from 11 am to 4 pm to clean the unit for the next guest. Many of our guests who want to ski on the day of departure, move out and park their car in one of the hotels or pay parking lots for the day. Or they go to Vancouver and book a day-room for the day in one of the Robson Street hotels.
