The townhouse has an open concept living area, with the living room, dining room and kitchen in the same space. Here is the sunken living room with a cosy fire. The living room has a 40 inch flat screen TV with HD signal. The pull out couch with double mattress and down comforter is in the living room. There is a double closet for storage on the higher level.
As you enter from the foyer into this one bedroom home, this is the room that greets you. Relax in the dining room, looking over the sunken living room. There is seating for four comfortably.
The kitchen is on the same level as the dining room. This kitchen is an efficient, fully functional cooking zone. It features full size appliances and is stocked with basics. For those who cook to relax and connect, look no further. A great place for apres drinks and snacks, or cook the whole dinner. This kitchen has a new stove, fridge and dishwasher.
The Bedroom with queen bed. This bed has a down comforter. This room has a double closet.
The bathroom is located between the dining room and the bedroom.
The Valley Trail right behind The Gables. This trail follows Fitzsimmons Creek along the back side of The Gables and connects to the Village and the Upper Village.

This is Fitzsimmons Creek, just behind The Gables. Look above the bridge and you see the Excalibur Gondola, which goes from Whistler Village up Blackcomb Mountain. Just behind the gondola are the lower slopes of Whistler Mountain. But wait till you see the alpine!
This area is behind The Gables. On the right is the Covered Bridge, one of the landmarks of the parks in Whistler. You can take this 5 minute walk into the Village.
This is a sitting area beside Fitzsimmons Creek and the Covered Bridge. This is a lovely, warm, relaxing spot on a sunny day in spring, summer or fall, and even on a sunny warm winter day.

The townhouse is a large one bedroom on the ground floor and is on one level. You enter into the foyer, which is a separate room for storing skis, gear and outerwear, as well as wet gear. The kitchen, dining and living room are open concept. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped whether you just eat breakfast there or cook up a storm. The sunken living room is down 2 steps, with a wood burning fireplace, and one wall of windows. You step out onto a 10 x 12 patio. The dining area is a large and separate area and seats 4 very comfortably with a large table. The bedroom has a queen bed and picture window. A 4 piece bath with jetted (jacuzzi) tub completes the townhouse.

Location & Map
The Gables is the perfect location! Situated between the Village and Upper Village, it is 5 minutes from all skiing, the bike park, restaurants and shops.
In the winter it is a 5 minute walk to up or download all lifts on both mountains, and to all lessons, rentals and guest services, the Tube Park and night skiing.
In the summer, it is a short ride to the Bike Park.
The grocery and liquor store are a short walk into the Village.
The Gables are situated beside Fitzsimmons Creek and Park. It is quiet and private, yet convenient to everything. You can park the car and walk!
In the summer, The Gables is right on the Valley Trail, which takes you into the Village, as well as connecting onto an extensive trail system throughout Whistler. The gondola for sightseeing and the bike park are 5 minutes away. Two golf courses are within walking distance. The skateboard park is on the other side of the creek. Swimming at Lost Lake is a 15 minute walk along the Valley Trail, so there is no need to jockey for parking.
For conference goers, the Telus Whistler Conference Centre is a 5 minute walk into the Village, or the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is a 5 minute walk to the Upper Village.

Balance Refund Nov 1- Apr 31: Balance is non refundable except if reservation is replaced. Refund equals value of reservation with which the cancelled booking is replaced minus 4% cancellation fee. Balance Refund May 1- Oct 31: The balance is refunded minus 4% cancellation fee with minimum notice of 24 hours.|

|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|Excessive Cleaning Costs||If cleaning required is more than the normal 2 hours, excess costs will be charged to the guest. Includes but is not limited to any cleaning needed by restoration services, a plumber, stains, odor, smoking in the unit, or cooking. Includes any extra cleaning costs to restore the townhouse to the same condition as it was upon check in.|
|Excessive Noise||Will not be tolerated out of courtesy to neighbours. If excessive noise is reported, after one warning the guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.|
|Forgotten Items by Guest||There is a $15 charge for returning forgotten items to guests. Guests are responsible for all mailing costs for forgotten items.|
|Housekeeping||Complimentary. For reservations of 8 nights or more, full linen change and bathroom cleaned about every fifth day during your stay. The kitchen is to be maintained by the guest.|
|Liability||We are excluded from liability for personal bodily injury in our home, while in transit to, or while on resort property.|
|Maintenance Emergencies||24 hour phone support.|

|Property Damage||Guests assume all financial responsibility for any property damage incurred by you or your guests. While no damage deposit is requested, you are financially responsible for any damage incurred by you or your guests during your stay.|

If you are a serious skier/border or biker 'The Gables' are the best place to stay in Whistler. The Gables is a clean modern property that is a perfect base for winter or summer. Booking via Allura is very straightforward and quick. The rental manger is very easy to contact and was extremely helpful throughout our extended stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at 5* the Gables- it made our experience of Whistler the best it could have been; the location is perfect, close enough to everything to be able to walk to places but out of the way enough to feel like you're have a nice secluded spot. This was our first snowboard holiday out of Europe and Whistler seemed the obvious option for hopefully lots of powder and it did not disappoint! This accomodation was perfect. The location is great, blackcombe's wizzard gondala is right on your doorstep and only a 5 minute walk to the main whistler village and gondala's!
The apartment- The kitchen was pefect and had averything and more I could of thought we might need (despite eating out a lot because the food was so good) , comfortable bed, bath with jacuzzi jets. This is a great condo if you want to stay in Whistler. Very centrally located and quiet. It's in the shade so it doesn't overheat on sunny Summer days (that also means it's less bright). The space is very well laid out and comfortable with a nice large flat screen Smart TV. The mattress was excellent and made for great and restful nights of sleep.
The property manager was top notch: All systems were in place with comprehensive instructions and reminders ans she was extremely helpful and always responded immediately to any query or request. The condo was recently acquired by a new owner and a couple of things still needed to be replaced (like the curtains and possibly the washer & dryer), but things should be fixed by the time you get there.
We thoroughly enjoy our vacation and definitely recommend it!View Full Review

Very comfortable unit with single bedroom and pull out couch for third person. Kitchen is well equipped for meal preparation and dishwasher was appreciated. Washing macine and dryer came in handy. Could use some upgrades compared to a friends unit in the same complex. The bathroom vanity was a little worn. Paper towel, Kleenex and face soap were in short supply. This ground floor unit is located halfway between City of Whistler & Blackcomb. You do not have to ride the bus anywhere. It is also a 5 min. walk to the gondolas in Whistler or lift in Backcomb. The condo was supplied with salt, pepper, sugar, coffee and cream. It did not have paper towels or wood for the wood burning fireplace. It did have a jetted tub in the bathroom; but, no hot tub in the complex. The bed was comfortable and the complex was fairly quite. I would stay there again because of the great location.
