Living Area

Sunken living room, with high vaulted ceilings and a river rock wood burning fireplace. The living room has a sofa and love seat with a TV/VCR and CD player. There is also a private deck off the living room with patio furniture.

Dining Area

Seperate from the living room. Seats 8-10 comfortably. There are two extra leaves for the table for those family dinners. We have table linen for 10.

Our condo has high vaulted ceilings, heated slate floors in the bathroom and kitchen, and is elegantly decorated in pine.

Park Your Car - You Won't Need It Our home is located just 2 minutes away from the best skiing, dining, and shopping anywhere. The "Whistler Kids Ski School" is just around the corner at the Base of Blackcomb Mtn. with the base of Whistler Mtn. 2 minutes the other way on the Village Trail. The map below shows Whistler Village with the Gables in red.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policy Description
Cancellations Made by Guests 30 Days Advance Notice. Deposit and final payment are non-refundable once paid unless we can replace the reservation. If paid by credit card reimbursement will be less 4%.
Courtesy Hold Reservations Not accepted. Reservations are confirmed with payment.
Delayed Arrivals Non refundable. We are not responsible for delayed arrivals for any reason beyond our control; unused nights are non-refundable.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Upon receipt of payment in full. Later for last minute reservations.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Property Sale All bookings will be preserved in the event of a property sale. If the booking is not preserved by the new Owners, the new owners will be contractually bound to move your booking at their expense.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise Strata Bylaws Apply. Guests are responsible. Quiet hours are 11:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
Housekeeping Complimentary. 7 day stay-1 cleaning on the 4th day. 14 day stay-2 cleanings during stay.
Internet Availability & Usage Wireless High Speed internet. You must bring your own laptop. This computer account must not be utilized for any illegal acts which can result in criminal prosecution.

Property Damage Guest authorizes up to a $500 CAD charge on their card upon departure in the event of property damage. Damage includes, but not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items, smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or policy involvement regarding property occupant's behavior while in the property or on common premises.

Policy Description
My Web Site Guarantee I guarantee that I will honour all rates posted on my web site at the time that your reservation request is submitted. If any amenity changes after you have confirmed your booking with payment, I will notify you in advance and give you an opportunity to cancel with full refund.
Reservation Guarantee Property Sale/Damage - we will relocate you to a comparable property. If there are any rate increases associated with the move, we will contribute $100 CAD per night towards rate equalization. If we fail to successfully relocate you, you will receive a full refund. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation rental products.

My Money Saving Tips

My biggest money saving tips Take your own lunch up top. We take Mr. Noodles or something similar up the slopes. There is free boiling water at the top of both mountains. We then bring crackers, cheese, fruit for a great lunch. It is also quick to do in the morning.

Getting Check-In Info

How do I get the check-in info? When we receive your final payment, we will send you our access information. Our condo has a keyless entry system. At this time we will also provide you with emergency contact information and parking instructions.
What if I leave the combination at home? You can call either Allura Guest Services at 1-866-425-5872, Sharon at 604-435-6059 or Scott, who lives in Whistler at 604-932-2889 for assistance. Please keep your Access Information and emergency numbers in your wallet not in your suitcase.

Checking In

How do I check in? There is not a check-in desk. The access instruction will be sent to you 45 days prior to your arrival.
Can I check-in early? Please check with us a few days prior to your arrival. If someone is leaving on your arrival day, then we cannot guarantee that it will be ready before 4:00 p.m. Sometimes, you can check in early - please inquire.
Can I leave my stuff there when I arrive even if it has not been cleaned yet? Yes, as long as the previous guest's are gone. You can leave everything in the hall with a note for our cleaners. Knock on the door if you are arriving before 4:00 p.m.
Do I have to pay more for an early check-in? No

Checking Out

Can I check-out late? Please inquire with us a few days before your arrival if you want to check-out late. It may be possible.
What is the check-out time? 10:00 a.m. This is strictly enforced.
What happens if we are not ready to leave at 10 a.m. and the cleaners show up? The 10 am check-out is strictly enforced, unless you have confirmed a late check-out with us. If you leave late, then the next guest will arrive to a dirty condo because our cleaners could not clean it on time. They will be left waiting until the evening before they can start their vacation! How would you feel if it was you?


What if something goes wrong? We have 24 hour emergency support. Contact information is provided with the final payment.
What if the property is not cleaned when we get there? If it is after 4:00 pm, something likely went wrong. Contact us, and we will fix it immediately. If we are unable to do so, there is a complete set of clean linens in the property, and the property will be properly cleaned first thing the next morning. We will also be doing our best to compensate you for the mistake.

 About Us

Doug and I live in Burnaby, which is a suburb of Vancouver. We have a 30 year old son, Travis. We are all avid skiers and have had lots of family fun over the years. We have been skiing in Whistler since the early 70's and have seen many changes over the years. We also spend a lot of time at our home away from home in the summer bike riding, swimming, rollerblading (Travis) and golfing. I hope you enjoy our condo as much as we have over the years.
