The "Whistler Kids Ski School" is just around the corner at the Base of Blackcomb Mtn. with the base of Whistler Mtn. 2 minutes the other way on the Village Trail. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site|

Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|Excessive Noise||Strata Bylaws Apply. Guests are responsible. Quiet hours are 11:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.|
|Housekeeping||Complimentary. 7 day stay-1 cleaning on the 4th day. 14 day stay-2 cleanings during stay.|

|My biggest money saving tips||Take your own lunch up top. We take Mr. Noodles or something similar up the slopes. There is free boiling water at the top of both mountains. We then bring crackers, cheese, fruit for a great lunch. It is also quick to do in the morning.|

Getting Check-In Info
|How do I get the check-in info?||When we receive your final payment, we will send you our access information. Our condo has a keyless entry system. At this time we will also provide you with emergency contact information and parking instructions.|
|What if I leave the combination at home?||You can call either Allura Guest Services at 1-866-425-5872, Sharon at 604-435-6059 or Scott, who lives in Whistler at 604-932-2889 for assistance. Please keep your Access Information and emergency numbers in your wallet not in your suitcase.|
|How do I check in?||There is not a check-in desk. The access instruction will be sent to you 45 days prior to your arrival.|
|Can I check-in early?||Please check with us a few days prior to your arrival. If someone is leaving on your arrival day, then we cannot guarantee that it will be ready before 4:00 p.m. Sometimes, you can check in early - please inquire.|
|Can I leave my stuff there when I arrive even if it has not been cleaned yet?||Yes, as long as the previous guest's are gone. You can leave everything in the hall with a note for our cleaners. Knock on the door if you are arriving before 4:00 p.m.|
|Do I have to pay more for an early check-in?||No|
|Can I check-out late?||Please inquire with us a few days before your arrival if you want to check-out late. It may be possible.|
|What is the check-out time?||10:00 a.m. This is strictly enforced.|
|What happens if we are not ready to leave at 10 a.m. and the cleaners show up?||The 10 am check-out is strictly enforced, unless you have confirmed a late check-out with us. If you leave late, then the next guest will arrive to a dirty condo because our cleaners could not clean it on time. They will be left waiting until the evening before they can start their vacation! How would you feel if it was you?|
|What if something goes wrong?||We have 24 hour emergency support. Contact information is provided with the final payment.|
|What if the property is not cleaned when we get there?||If it is after 4:00 pm, something likely went wrong. Contact us, and we will fix it immediately. If we are unable to do so, there is a complete set of clean linens in the property, and the property will be properly cleaned first thing the next morning. We will also be doing our best to compensate you for the mistake.|

Doug and I live in Burnaby, which is a suburb of Vancouver. We are all avid skiers and have had lots of family fun over the years. We have been skiing in Whistler since the early 70's and have seen many changes over the years. We also spend a lot of time at our home away from home in the summer bike riding, swimming, rollerblading and golfing. I hope you enjoy our condo as much as we have over the years. We had an amazing time in Whistler and this condo was a great place to stay. The size was perfect for our family, the beds and linens were comfortable, overall the unit was very clean and well kept. The owners and maintenance were always available and responsive.
The photos gave the impression that the place was bigger, but as I said before the size was still perfect for us. There is a 5 min walk to the whistler lift and 3 min walk to the blackcomb side, something to keep in mind if traveling with children and carrying all ski equipment both ways.
We will definitely come back to Whistler in the future and this condo will surely be an option for us again.View Full Review

Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay on our first time in Whistler. Check in was simple and the amenities and facilities were perfect. Our time skiing was part of a larger trip and it was a treat to feel so relaxed and at home. Location was easy without a car because you're in walking distance to most everything.

Great place to stay for a large family. Convenient walk either to Blackcomb or Whistler ski lifts (a little closer to Blackcomb). Short walk to the shops and dining. Dining area seats 6-8 comfortably and a fireplace that we enjoyed at night. Kitchen is a little small but had everything we needed. Beds were warm and comfortable. We used the extra blankets in the evening in front of the fireplace.

We thought it was a nice unit but small given the description of sleeping I believe up to 15 people. Location was great and biggest draw. Would be nice to have actual windows separating the rooms for noise privacy. Clean unit and begs were comfortable.

The great location is just steps from Blackcomb base and Whistler Village but quietly nestled next to the creek amongst the fir trees. The beds were fairly comfortable and the kitchen very well stocked with everything you might possibly need. The unit was very clean. With six adults and three young children in the unit it was quite cozy yet spacious enough to accommodate all our needs. Booking was easy and Sharon was very quick to respond to any and all our many questions before our arrival. Check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We had a great 5 days that went by too quickly.

I've been skiing Whistler for 30 years now and discovered The Gables about 10 years ago. I've stayed there every time we have visited since. Of all the units I have enjoyed in Whistler, Doug and Sharon's place is the nicest, best equipped we have visited yet. I am already looking forward to next year! Clean, convenient, great owners who checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, great decor (had christmas decorations and even a small tree up), very comfortable beds. Steps to Blackcomb. Whistler is only a few minutes further away. Good selection of Dvds and games. Not sure what more you would need. Our small kids were very happy. We will stay there again!

Our family stayed at Doug and Sharon's home just before xmas. Was a wonderful way to begin the holidays and the amount of snow that Whistler received the days before our arrival was incredible. The skiing/boarding was a blast and it was only made better by the accommodations which were clean, modern and very comfortable. It was literally a few minutes walk to the Blackcomb lifts and Whistler Village. Not having to drive everywhere was a bonus! Some of us even took advantage of the sleds that we supplied on the patio! Thanks for a great holiday experience - we will be back!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say. If we ski Whistler/Blackcomb again, I will definitely choose to stay in this home. The home is clean. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen perfect for our group. Loved the heated bathroom floors. Temperature in home was consistent and pleasant throughout the stay...comparing to homes I've stayed in before - hot in one room/cold in another...this home was great. We received a call from Doug on our second day there just making sure that all was good - it was, we appreciate the call. The walk to either Whistler Village or Blackcomb lift is short. It is a great location. The village is busy and their is plenty to do when not skiing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you Doug and Sharon.

This place was well situated , great value and very comfortable. It is a very short walk to both the village and the upper village. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was the fact that as a family of 5 with jet lag and widely varying ages we would probably pay a bit more to have soundproof bedrooms as the rooms have an opening (with louvres for visual screening ) onto the living area that allow some noise from the living area. This feature does however allow the house to remain well heated throughout which is a benefit. The owners gave us their cellphone number and took the trouble to contact us during the stay to check all was well.
Confortable living and good skiing

Condo was well suited for our group given its size and number of bathrooms. Given the fact that the kitchen included many dishes, pots and pans, it allowed us to cook most of our meals. Skiing was made easy given its proximity to the two mountains. We also enjoyed the fact that it was within walking distance from restaurants, grocery stores, kids' playground. The quick cleaning done every four days was also appreciated. The one drawback is the check out time which at ten in the morning is too early. Most other facilities we have used in our many trips in Canada, Europe, Asia and africa have a check out time of 11h00.

What I'd really like to say is that nobody should stay here ever! That way anytime we wanted to rent it, it would be open! :) It was the perfect set up for our family. Two rooms upstairs for our two kids, one downstairs for us, a tv upstairs so they could watch a movie when we needed a "break", a tub which was nice after a day of skiing, close proximity to both the main village and upper village...I could go on and on! We even got a call midway through our stay to be sure everything was going well. I really appreciated that!

A Magical Winter Experience

It was to be our first winter Christmas and it certainly fulfilled all of our expectations. The Gables is in a quiet and peaceful setting, yet is within easy walking distance of both Whistler villages. The accommodation is spacious,( there were 6 adults) comfortable and well equipped, with the owners' personal touches giving it a 'homey' feel. Every effort was made to accommodate an early check-in and a courtesy call from the owner was a friendly touch. The air locked drying room accommodated all our outdoor bits and pieces and meant there was always dry ski equipment. While Christmas Day may have been wet with some flurries, this did little to impact on the beautiful, snowy vista outside our windows or to dampen our spirits. It was a very relaxing and special Christmas experience.

We really enjoyed the condo and it was a great place to stay to access the slopes at Whistler and the Village. We had a baby with us too and the condo was just the right size so we all had space. Really nice kitchen too and we used it a lot!

Rented condo with friends from New York. Very happy with the rental and location. Well equipped condo with lots of extras. Did not want for anything. Near both the upper and lower villages. Very close to ski lifts. Private wooded area, so quiet at night and away from traffic noise and partying. Comfy beds were a bonus. Parking was no problem. Would rent this again without hesitation.
