Shopping and the Village are just a 5 - 10 minute walk or two minute drive and we're right by the Valley Trail, which is a great way to hike or bike to almost anywhere in Whistler.
After a day on the slopes, the golfcourse, hiking, fishing, mountain biking or whatever, luxuriate in your private hot tub, relax by the river rock fireplace and maybe catch a movie on one of the four TVs, including 4K UHD TV in main living area. "Reverse plan" - main living area is on the upper floor, to take better advantage of the spectacular mountain views. Living area, is open plan with vaulted ceilings, river rock fireplace, dining room, gourmet kitchen and a walkout to the balcony with views of both Blackcomb and Whistler mountains. Upper level also includes a master bedroom with ensuite and a powder room.
Lower level, accessed through the front entrance or the garage, includes an entrance hall with closet, two guest bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one of which is ensuite. Private laundry facility and a walkout to your own private hot tub, set in a private forested area behind the property.

Andrew & Cynthia Waller are a recenty retired couple who just love the activities, atmosphere, scenery and clean air at Whistler. We spent a long time looking for our ideal home in Whistler, and have to say the property in Montebello was love at first sight. The property is well-constructed, has great views, is an easy walk to the Village for the non-skier in our family but still veryconvenient for the ski slopes and all the other activites Whistler can offer. Our principal residence is in North Vancouver, just over an hour's drive from Whistler, so we are always on hand if required. While Cynthia is a non-skier, due to knee problems, she loves to walk into the Village. Andrew (grandpa Andy) continues to ski at age 67, though somewhat tentatively. Our 3 children are all avid skiers or boarders. Our best skier, however, is our seven year old grandson, and the other two younger grandchildren are regular attendess at ski-school.

Wonderful vacation rental! Super comfortable beds (including the pull out couch), high end kitchen appliances, sharp knives; all amenities thought of. There were also a few things stocked in the kitchen that were wonderful additions (spices, etc). The back yard private hot tub was wonderful and backed onto a beautiful forested area.
Andrew was very easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. The price on this particular unit almost felt like a steal! These units are close enough to the village to walk but far enough away that it's very quiet and private. We had a fantastic time and I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.View Full Review

This was a perfect base for a few days in the fall. The home is very comfortable and spacious - even for six adults. The kitchen is very well equipped and the hot tub is great to have. We walked back and forth to the village several times. There is bike/walking path that goes all the way to the village.

The location is so convenient; even though we had a car, we walked everywhere (Whistler Village / Upper Village / Supermarkets). The townhouse was exactly as described and we found it clean and with all every needed amenity. Thank you to whomever left a bit of laundry detergent and coffee...not sure if it was the previous guests or very thoughtful owners. There was just enough of each to see us through our stay. Comfy, Spacious, and Very Central

We spent a week at the Waller house, re-connecting with our University-age son and daughter. We've had generally good experiences with vrbo rentals over the years, summer and winter, including 3 whistler trips in the last 5 years, but this was undoubtedly at the top of the list.
Whistler accommodations are expensive, no surprise, but after lots of searching, I think Montebello, and Andrew's place specifically, is the best value we have found for our family of 5.
The location is a perfect balance of quiet seclusion and proximity to the village, just a short walk to the IGA market and a little further to the lifts. Easy 10-min walk in street shoes, but my daughter can attest that in ski boots, carrying skis, the village lift base is doable, but not for the faint of heart. Stop for the free bus supposedly nearby, but we did not take advantage.
There are still at least 3 lots with free parking, and if you're skiing Blackcomb, lot 6 near the excalibur gondola is a good option. On the Whistler side, lot 5 is a bit far unless the parking shuttle is running (weekends and holidays).
The house is very spacious and in great condition - we found it luxurious. The kitchen is well equipped, and roomy enough for kids to graze even while the cook is working. Dining table has room for 10, if you want to invite friends over. The private hot tub just outside the downstairs bedroom is also in a great condition and was very popular with our group. Beds for 6 adults, with plenty of bathrooms and showers for everyone (heated floors a cozy feature). We had to fend off requests to have friends sleep on the pull-out sofa, but this easily accommodates 2 more, with a half bath just off the living area.
One reviewer noted road noise from Highway 99, but we barely noticed. There's a heavily wooded green belt between the house the road. If you listen, you can hear the occasional truck roll by from the hot tub. But my wife and I are light sleepers, and from the master bedroom, the only thing we heard was snowflakes on the windowsill.
The development has wide, well-groomed streets, with room for two vehicles if you stack one in the private garage and one on the driveway. There's also plenty of guest parking in designated spaces across the street.
We did have one snafu with the washing machine being dead upon our arrival, so that was not ideal. Fortunately, there were enough clean towels and linens to get us through the week. (Speedy appliance service hard to come by during ski season). Thanks Andrew for a great stay. Hopeful there will another Montebello stay in our future.View Full Review Owner Has Responded

Booking the house, and communications with Andrew were very easy. The location of the house is perfect, less than a 10 minute walk to the village.
The house is very spacious and in a very good condition. The kitchen is very well equipped, although it took us a while to find where the kettle was hidden! The hot tub is also in a good condition and was great for relaxing in.
There is some road noise from Highway 99 which runs directly behind the house, but you only really hear it from the hot tub or if you have the windows in the master bedroom open.

This is a wonderful, spacious and comfortable house on a great street, with fabulous mountain views from the deck - we absolutely loved our stay here and wished we'd been here longer. The house is an easy 10 minute walk into Whistler village (or 2 minute cycle if you hire a bike). Loads of space in the house, with a really well-equipped kitchen and BBQ on the deck.

As always, this place is hands down is THE place for our annual reunion at Whistler! Kitchen truly has EVERYTHING u need like a sharp knife...we have tried a bunch of places and none compare.
Grill is in great condition, hot tub always ready to go. Beds are comfortable, AC is cold and we really do feel like we are home the instant we walk in! Nice and quiet yet really close to the village. Can't recommend it enough, just leave us a few nights a year! Aloha.View Full Review

This is a great property: plenty of space and furnished to a high standard. It's a pleasant stroll into Whistler village, yet far enough away that it's really peaceful. The hot tub was a real bonus too!

Overall a great visit and a wonderful experience. The condo accommodated the 6 of us very nicely, and we enjoyed the spacious and clean unit. The area was perfect for us as we could either drive to Whistler village or to the mountain and walk if needed. My family enjoyed the 4K TV, playing poker by the fireplace as well as taking advantage of the private jacuzzi. The owners were very helpful, quick to respond to any inquiries and provided useful information.View Full Review

Had a great week in Whistler over the kids school break. In total there were 8 of us. A little tight because we didn't want to use the fold out couch, but we managed ok. The kitchen is nicely setup with good amenities. Getting to the slopes with little kids (ours are 8 and 5) would have been trickier I think had we not had the ability to drive and/or get dropped off. We did walk back one day from the bus stop and the kids made it, although they weren't thrilled =). If your kids are older it is manageable to walk to the bus and/or shuttle stop.
Internet works great and the DVR was a nice addition to catch some ski racing from Beaver Creek.View Full Review

We had the most wonderful stay! Andrew gave the best recommendations on places to eat, things to do and hikes. It rained during our stay but we just went to the spa up the road and enjoyed. The only thing that we were bummed about was no ice in the fridge. Oh well we fixed that. Id go back and have already recommended this place to friends.View Full Review

Great place...exactly what we were looking for. Well outfitted kitchen that we could really cook and eat in and comfortable rooms. Jacuzzi was HOT and CLEAN and location was quiet and secluded. Garage was the final nail in the coffin that made this rental stand out from the rest. We will be returning next year!View Full Review

The owners are wonderful helpful people. I used their recommendations for things to do, hikes, dinning out, live music. I was never disappointed! The home is lovely and well appointed. I enjoyed my stay as will return.
Great Location and Layout

The condo had everything we needed for a great long weekend. 10 min walk to the west side of the village and 10 min walk to Nestor's (grocery) in the other direction. For skiiers, a drive would still be necessary to access lifts. Hot tub was great - it is off one of the bedrooms in the basement, so be aware for whoever may sleep in that bedroom. Clean, bright and fully equipped. We weren't lacking for anything. Soaps and shampoos were an added and much appreciated touch.
