When you travel as far as we do to enjoy all that Sun Peaks offers, the condo needs to be very well equipped and comfortable
Relax in an open plan living area under vaulted cathedral ceilings and enjoy an outlook over the Morrisey Express lift through the 20ft two-story windows. The living area is bathed in the last of the afternoon sun warming it beautifully for when you return home after a day on the slopes. Enjoy the last of those rays in our hot tub on the private second floor balcony.

Our condo is a multi-level modern 3 bedroomed, fully equipped ski and golf or mountain biking holiday destination. Entry is up a few outdoor stairs into a foyer with heated slate tiles, and a wall hung unit with coat hooks and cubby holes for jackets, etc. Boots can be hung over the the wall mounted heater on boot warmer pegs, or left to dry on the heated floor. There is a ski rack for skis of course. The living and dining area, and kitchen is upstairs in a modern open plan design looking up to the Morrisey Express lift through floor to ceiling 2 - storied windows, and the room is bathed in the last of the sun's rays. Off this area is the balcony on which is the hot tub, and BBQ. This private balcony is also accessible from the master bedroom which has an ensuite. The second bedroom is also on this floor with a second bathroom immediately across the hallway. Upstairs from here is a lofted third bedroom, with shutters which can be opened for the view and ventilation, or closed for privacy.

Even though you are on holiday, you might still want / have to cook! So we have equipped our kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, platters, drinks, champagne and wine glasses. Cooking utensils are many and varied and there is a blender, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, electric mixer, electric frypan, 6.5 litre slow cooker / crockpot; microwave, large fridge/freezer, full-sized electric oven and a dishwasher. Dishwashing liquid detergent and dishwasher detergent are provided, along with paper towel, garbage bags, sugar, spices and herbs, cooking oil, honey, soy sauce.... and saran wrap (gladwrap), tin foil as well as starter coffee and tea.

Chat to someone prepping a meal in the kitchen from the breakfast bar, with its three bar stools and overhead lights. The dining area itself has an extendable dining table seating 6, with 2 additional fold up chairs stored in closet, taking it to an easy 8.

Our condo is fully equipped with all that you need to enjoy your holiday in Sun Peaks, including a Hot Tub, BBQ, and complimentary high speed wireless internet, champagne and wine glasses (of course!). We have a fabulous on-site manager Andrea, who is available to help if the need arises. The public amenities include two car park stalls reserved for you in the secure underground parking; the walkways and drive around the complex are cleared daily for your safety.

Location & Map
Our condo in Stones Throw is ideally placed for early runs on the Morrisey Express - you simply put your skis on at the corner of the building and ski down to the lift to enjoy the best part of the day. From there you can access 122 runs from 11 lifts. If you are a keen cross country skier, the start of over 30 kms of crosscountry skiing starts almost on your door step from there.
Getting home to a soak in the hot tub is easy too - after skiing on the sunny side of Sun Peaks in the afternoon, you can ride the last lift on Sundance Express to ski down Rambler and join the East Village Ski Way. From there, take any one of Fair Dinkum, Czesc, or Ausfahrt to arrive back to the corner of Stones Throw at the end of your day.
A free shuttle bus runs around the resort as well, and leaves from directly outside the roadside building of Stones Throw, but you can walk down in the evening under the period lights of the pedestrian Village Way in 10 - 15 minutes. The skating rink, pool and recreation centre are even closer.

Reservation & Cancellation Policies
|Arrival Days||You are welcome to book your vacation to arrive on any day of the week. Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon balance of final payment|
|Cancellations Made by Guests||If a cancellation is requested more than 45 days prior to arrival, payment for the first night's accommodation will be retained and the balance refunded. If cancellation is requested within 45 days of arrival, all payments are non-refundable, unless the condo is rebooked. Refunds will then be issued for re-booked dates at the re-booked price and are subject to a 4% cancellation fee. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights, or vacation-related products and expenses|
|Cancellations Made by Owners||We reserve the right to cancel your booking due to a late payment or if you violate any of our published policies. Under those circumstances, all payments are non-refundable.|
|Courtesy Hold Reservations||Reservations are confirmed with payment.|
|Delayed Arrivals||Sorry - no refunds. We are not responsible for circumstances which result in delayed arrivals. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights or vacation-related products and expenses.|
|Delivery of Instructions and Access Information||Check-in and arrival instructions will be emailed upon final payment of balance.|
|Guest Account Termination||The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site|
|Guest Stay Contract||By reserving online via your credit card, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. By clicking the AGREE button when paying online, you acknowledge that you have legally accepted, read, understood, agree with, and will comply with our publicly advertised policies (including payment terms) on our web site.|
|Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal||The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Reservations may be cancelled up to a maximum of 48 hours from the time the ineligible Guest made the booking. Guests will be issued a refund by personal cheque. Refunds will be adjusted for any payment processing expenses|
|Late Reservation Payments||Failure to pay by the due dates will result in automatic cancellation without a deposit refund. Guests can re-book dates if they are still available; deposit will not be re-charged.|
|Privacy||The Owner, their booking Contact and this web sites technical administrators agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of their Guests without prior written consent from the Guests, except under force of law, or for law enforcement purposes relating to policy and property violation. The Owner and their booking Contact also agree to not use Guest personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Guests. Guests agree to not sell, refer, rent or divulge to any third parties the names or personal information of the Owner or their booking Contact without prior written consent from the Owner and/or Contact, except under force of law or for law enforcement purposes. Guests also agree to not use Owner or Contact personal information for any reason other than its original intended purpose without written consent from the Owners and their Contact.|
|Reservation Changes||Please contact us if you need to lengthen or shorten your reservation, and we will do what we can to accommodate. Changes are not guaranteed, and refunds may be treated in accordance with our cancellation policy.|
Guest Stay Policies
|Bike Storage||Bikes are not permitted in the condo. Please arrange to secure your bikes in the underground locked garage|
|Check-In Time||4pm. An earlier check-in may be possible. Please contact us in the first instance|
|Check-Out Time||10am. A later check-out may be possible, but it must have prior approval from the property manager at least two days beforehand. (Phone:250-319-5680)|
|Complaints Concerning Property||Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Serious problems should be reported with supporting photographs. We will make our best efforts to rectify problems within 24 hours of notification. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.|
|Excessive Cleaning Costs||Guests authorize a credit card charge for excessive cleaning costs, including additional charges to be met if dirty dishes, pots or pans are left in the unit|
|Excessive Noise||"Excessive Noise" is any noise from without or within the condo which disturbs others in the building between the hours of 10.30pm and 8am. It is prohibited and strictly enforced according to the strata bylaws. You may be evicted. Please don't use the hot tub after 10.30pm at night.|
|Garbage Removal||We offer you a complimentary pickup on Tuesdays and Fridays from INSIDE the front entry door, to be left before 9am. Do not leave it outside - Sun Peaks Resort will fine you because garbage left outside attracts scavenging bears. Excess garbage on other days may be dropped off at the Transfer Station near the Burfield Chair|
|Hot Tub||The maximum number of guests in the hot tub is to be limited to 4 adults. More people may cause the hot tub to overflow. No glass ware is to be taken into the hot tub. We supply plastic mugs and plastic wine glasses, that you are welcome to use in the hot tub. If there is any water play or spillage from the hot tub it creates an overflow onto the patio below. This causes an issue with ice. If professional assistance is required to remove it we need to recover the cost of rectifying this problem we need to recover the costs from the guests responsible.|
|Housekeeping||Complimentary housekeeping and linen change before arrival and after departure. A further mid-stay clean at no charge will be provided for bookings of 8 nights or more. (The exact day of clean to be agreed with our property manger, depending on other accommodation changeovers)|
|Internet Availability & Usage||complimentary wireless internet|
|Liability||Owners are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests, or guests of guests, while on our property or at any location at Sun Peaks Resort|
|Locking Door||Front door is a keyless access code which is changed for each rental. Both sliding glass doors are locked from the inside. Guests are required to securely lock all doors and entrances when they are not in the unit and upon departure|
|Maintenance Emergencies||24 Emergency Contact Number is provided upon payment of final balance. The condo is equipped with a landline phone for free local calls. The emergency number is also posted in the condo.|
|Maximum Sleeping Capacity||A maximum number of SEVEN overnight guests. This is strictly enforced and eviction without a refund for parties of 8 or more will result, if those numbers stay overnight.|
|Missing Items||A full inventory is taken after each rental. Guests authorize a credit card charge for missing items|
|Noise Restrictions||Please keep in mind that you have neighbours who may complain. No noise after 10.30pm, and no use of the hot tub after 10.30pm. You will be fined by security if your party and your guests disrupt other guests, and you may be evicted under the terms of the policies|
|Parking & Ticketing||Two stalls which are numbered "54" are allocated for you in Garage #2. A security code for this locked underground garage are supplied to you|
|Policy Updates||Policies are subject to change, so please refer back to this site as needed|
|Property Damage||In the event of damage recorded by the Property Manager, the guest authorizes payment of up to $CDN550 on their credit card. Damage includes, but is not limited to, damage within the condo or property; lost, broken or missing common or private property items; smoking in the condo or on the deck;pet/s. Damage also includes all charges relating to a security company, police or the property manager involvement in responding to guest behaviour whilst on the property.|
|Rental Accommodation Zoning||We are zoned for nightly rentals.|
|Resort Information||Provided in written form in our condo, also on the Resort TV channel from within the condo, and online at www.sunpeaksresort.com|
|Ski & Snowboard Gear Storage||Ski rack within condo; in entry hallway inside front door on lower level|
|Terms of Eviction||Excessive noise, common or private property damage or threat of damage, disturbing the peace, drunk or disorderly conduct in the condo, on the deck or on strata property, excess of maximum sleeping capacity of 7 without express prior written permission from us, or violation of any of our policies, such as no-smoking and no-pet/s will result in eviction. You will not receive a refund if you are evicted.|

|Fill up before you get to Sun Peaks||The last fuel stop, including diesel, is at Heffley Creek which is 30kms down the road from Sun Peaks. However you can also fill up as you leave Kamloops at the Husky Station on the right.|
|The biggest grocery savings are found off mountain||If you are driving to Sun Peaks, consider stopping at a large store on the way through. Kamloops has a range of supermarkets and our fridge and freezer are accommodating|

The variety in the terrain means that everyone in the family will be happy with the choice of skiing or boarding and if you have a keen cross country skier in the family, there are over 30kms of cross country trails Family activities include a Year Round Heated Outdoor Pool, Ice Skating, Snowshoe Marshmallow Roast, and Tube Park. Ski School runs wonderful programmes for the younger set - they may learn to ski better than you, whilst having great fun with their instructors|

|Is there a tour leader I can join up with?||Yes, the Sun Guides meet twice daily at the bottom of the Sunburst (Bubble) chair, and guide you around the mountain within an ability level you self select. They are locals who volunteer their time, know the mountain really well, and do it all for nothing!|
|Is Nancy Greene ever available?||Yes - Nancy will meet up on Saturdays and Sundays at about 1pm at the top of the Sunburst Express. She will scoop you all up and take you with her, no matter what your ability level! (For those of you who are too young, or not North American, Nancy Greene lives at Sun Peaks and won the Canadian ski championship nine times and the United States championship three times. In 1967, Nancy Greene won the inaugural World Cup,which she subsequently won again. She has won both Gold and Silver at the Winter Olympics, amongst a host of other premier events.|
Where should I purchase my lift pass?
|Can I buy my lift ticket close to the condo?||yes, once you have your skis on at the corner of the building, you can ski down to the Morrisey Express, and avoid all the village queues by purchasing your pass right there at the lift|

We are Jenny Hare and Brian Wills .... a Kiwi (New Zealand) couple who leave the stunning Mt Maunganui summer, sand and surf to travel to Sun Peaks for some winter fun in the sun. We first visited Sun Peaks in 2005, and were completely captivated by the friendliness of the locals, the warm welcome we experienced and of course the skiing and terrain. The snow is so much drier and the weather so much more reliable than on the coast at Whistler Blackcomb.
We bought our condo off the plans on that first visit and have travelled back to renew friendships and revisit our favourite runs and explore new ones almost every year since then. Our five adult children think it is a wonderful resort too, and one of our sons and his 3 friends featured the month of fun they had at Sun Peaks, and in our condo, extensively on their website, Facebook page and blog site in January 2011. Our condo in Sun Peaks has provided us and many of our Kiwi friends with wonderful vacations with memories to treasure.
Because we travel so far to enjoy the best of the Canadian ski areas, we equipped our condo so that it was easy, well equipped and homely when we arrived. Everything we would need had to be on hand, as we don't arrive in a car, but in a shuttle after a long international flight.

Hopefully, the above came out as 5 stars - I don't know what the 'x' means. Because it truly was a five star stay at Stones Throw. Our family of six had a great time in this unit that was VERY comfortable for all of us. The amenities and kitchen were perfect for a full Christmas dinner and everything else that we did. The proximity to lifts and Nordic tracks made it easy for skiing and snowshoeing and the fully serviced hot tub at the end of the day was just what everyone needed. Our third visit to Sun Peaks and we always have such a good time here. Sun Peaks itself is such a great resort - very little queuing for lifts and such a variety of terrain to suit all abilities, we love it. We've always had good experiences with accommodation here but for us, Stones Throw ticked all the boxes and was exceptional. Ease of unloading from the parking, location of the unit for ski-in and out, facilities and cleanliness of the unit, the hot tub (second floor location means it is much more conducive to being used), the space in the unit and the thought that had gone into the items left for us to use, in every room. I can't recommend this place enough and the only reason I would say that you shouldn't stay here is so that it is not all booked up the next time we want to stay in it!! We will definitely be back. Just enjoyed a brief 4 day pre-Christmas stay at Stones Throw. Sun Peaks itself is a fabulous destination with plenty of variety of trails to suit all abilities. The ski area is so extensive that there are very few queues which means more time on the slopes. Even the fact that the lifts shut at 3.30pm is not a problem as you will be "done" by then if you get a reasonable start to the day. The location of Stones Throw opens up Mount Morrissey as a great place to start the day which is the quietest area - sometimes you feel like you have the mountain to yourself. As for the condo, I couldn't fault anything. It's clean, well-maintained, spacious (we were only 4 but it could easily accommodate more, 5-6 would still be comfortable), superbly equipped, well located (20m walk from the front door and you strap the skis on and go). The hot tub is great and private being on a first floor deck unlike some other units in Stones Throw. Like me, you may wonder at first why a New Zealand couple would own a condo in BC - once you visit the condo and Sun Peaks, you'll understand! I would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay and intend to return with my kids, hopefully next year.

The condo was perfect for our family, well appointed and well equiped. The hot tub at the end of a fantastic days skiing was a great way to relax. The ski in /ski out location was perfect, for the best early morning access to the Morrissy chair and some fantastic fresh powder. Sunpeaks is a great family resort. Our young family ( 8 and 10 year olds) rate this holiday as the best holiday ever.

This is a beautiful well-appointed suite with easy access to skiing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the atmosphere warm. Across the street, a short ski away is the Morrissey Express chair, and there is ski-in access from the Sun Dance chair from the village. My wife and I, 6-year old daughter and 8-year old son shared the suite with our friends and their 2-year old and 4-year old daughters. The three older children slept upstairs in the bunk beds, and the two adult couples enjoyed the downstairs bedrooms, our friends with their baby downstairs. The loft space was very safe with a shuttered overlook onto the living/dining area below, graciously far too high for a little one to accidentally get over. We felt we had plenty of space and as a result did not stir despite the different wake-up times of the children. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed (and then some) and there were games and puzzles to keep us stimulated. The couches were very comfortable and it is clear that the owners have lovingly furnished and appointed the place with touches of their native New Zealand. The hot tub on the porch was enjoyed by all and maintained daily (!) by the contracted hot-tub maintenance folks. The skiing was great for all our little ones, and Sun Peaks is a great family resort with gentle wide-open trails as well as steep bowls and tree skiing for the restless. We even got 1 foot of fresh powder during our too brief 4 day stay! If only that could happen every time! We will definitely bookmark this place.

I really love this place. It is beautifully furnished, really comfortable and has all the little touches that make it feel just like home. It's also very spacious - even with all the beds full, the lounge and bedrooms weren't cramped and there was plenty of space for our ski gear. A long soak in the hot tub on the balcony was the perfect way to end the day's skiing, and the condo's location is great too - a short walk to all the restaurants and bars, a short ski in or out from the field, but also very quiet and peaceful. In summary...? Like I said, we will definitely be coming back!

at the kiwi condo on route from a road ski trip betweenCalgary and Vancouver and had a fantastic time. The resort had all you néed close by but you could also hunker down and self cater (as we did) with all the modern home appliances. Hot tub was superb and proximity to snow. It was very special as we got fresh powder every day and due to time of year we felt like it was our private ski mtn as noone was there! Hope to book in again soon as was excellent value for $. Also had a nicer friendlier feel compared to the big resorts.

First time skiing in Canada. Loved the condo, skiing in and out makes such a difference to the day. And the walk back from the village to the condo after dinner through the trees on the lamp-lit snow path was a magical experience, and just right for the digestion. The restaurants and cafes in the village were also very good; disappointing not to have more interesting food options on the mountain, but who cares if the skiing is great. And the relaxation of a hot tub after a challenging day kept us going. And the reason for the label 'divine skiing'? We took lessons from local instructor anne Terwiel, and skied like angels on powder, thereafter...my best performance ever. Anne is the best instructor of those I've sampled in many places around the world. The condo had all the requirements for a very comfortable stay, and was easy to get to and from the airport via the transfer company which has to be arranged in advance. Thoroughly relaxing, hassle free skiing.
