Reservation & Cancellation Policies

Policies:
Cancellations Made by Guests Deposit payment is non-refundable. Balance payment is refundable, less $175 transaction fee, if the reservation is cancelled 60 days or greater in advance. Reservations cancelled 59 days or less in advance are refunded only if the reservation is replaced. Balance payment refunds values are determined based on the value of replacement reservations. Any applicable refunds are issued the first day of your (cancelled) arrival.
Courtesy Hold Reservations Requested dates are not placed on hold prior to payment unless specifically negotiated in advance as this site allows for live reservations.
Delayed Arrivals Delayed arrivals are not an issu as we have a 24 hour check in service. However, delays (one night etc...) will not result in refunds.
Delivery of Instructions and Access Information Complete resort information, arrival /check-in instructions with coded access info will be sent upon final payment.
Guest Account Termination The Owner or their Contact reserve the right to request permanent Guest account inactivation from this web sites technical administrators in the event of one or more of the following Guest actions: intentional property policy violation causing material damage or fines, Guest misrepresentation and/or fraud, intentionally defacing or damaging public or private property, breaking laws and bylaws, theft, public indecency, harassment, causing bodily or emotional harm & disturbing the peace after repetitive warnings. Guests will be notified by email of account termination. Guests may choose to appeal their account termination. Guests may be given the chance to reconcile with the Owner as a condition of preserving or reversing their account status. Account termination prevents the Guest from booking this or any other property that uses the same web site
Guest Stay Contract Issued upon reservation.
Ineligible Guests: 24 Hour Reservation Reversal The Owner or their Contact reserves the right to cancel reservations made by, and refuse business to: Guests who do not meet the policies published in this property's Policies Table at the time of booking and past Guests known to have : intentionally violated rental property policies, damaged and/or defaced rental properties through intentionally destructive and/or negligent behavior, engaged in theft, broken local bylaws and laws, committed fraud or who misrepresented themselves, and Guests who have caused bodily or emotional harm to any third parties. Travel insurance is recommended to protect yourself against any unexpected events involving your lodging, flights, or vacation-related products.

Complaints Concerning Property Report all property complaints or obvious damage caused by previous Guests to us immediately, by phone and by email as they become evident. Failure to notify us of property-related problems while in the property and as they become evident, will forfeit any rights or claims against us regarding property condition after your departure.
Excessive Noise
Housekeeping Complimentary: upon arrival, departure and a full mid week clean for stays greater than 7 nights. Additional cleaning can be scheduled upon request.

Property Damage Guest assumes financial responsibility for property damage incurred by tenants or guest of tenants. By accepting our guest stay contract with online payment, you agree to pay for all damages incurred. Upon arrival, a pre approved damage deposit of $500 will be held on the guests credit card and guests identification verified. The damage deposit is only charged to guest on departure should there be any damage but not limited to $500 depending on damage amount. Damage includes, but is not restricted to: noise complaints, common or private property damage, excessive cleaning charges, lost or broken or missing common or private property items, smoking inside the property, pets inside the property and all charges relating to security company or police involvement regarding property occupants behavior while in the property or on common premises.

Good space and location - but not clean

We were surprised to find used towels/linens, trash, dust/dirt, etc all over the home. I understand that is not the fault of the owner; but the cleaners, but we weren't thrilled to clean up the mess of the previous tenants. Also, the cleaners came to our door at 9:30am; even though we were checking out at 10:00am; to make sure we were in fact departing at that time - felt rushed to get out. We found everything we needed in the kitchen; however again - one of the pots (the big one); from the previous tenants had cooked and burned their food; and was never cleaned. I moved the beds and tables around in the master bedroom for a more 'open' set up; also allowed more space between the two beds. I would recommend that layout versus the one we were provided. 1 of the lamps in the bedroom doesn't work - I assume the bulb is out. And the hair dryer in the master bedroom (the one on the wall) wasn't working properly either. Also it's VERY warm in the master bedroom; even with all the windows open; the coolest space was the living room area due to the fan that would circulate the air. Lastly, the balcony door is quite tricky to open. I asked a few questions in my initial reservations which were never answered by the owner; however all the requests were met. I did appreciate the owner calling on the final day asking how our stay went. The location and space worked for our needs; thank you very kindly for allowing us to use your home for our Ironman stay.

This is a great condo if you want to stay at the Blackcomb base. The Glacier lodge has easy parking, a nice heated outdoor pool and jacuzzis. There is also the Hidden Lodge spa downstairs where we got great massages. The condo was very clean and had a modern feel. There were plenty of towels and pillows. The beds were fantastic. The Unit is a bit of a trek from the elevator, but they provide luggage trolleys and there is a staircase at the end of the hall that we used if we didn't need the car. You get a key code that accesses all parts of the lodge, so even the kids can go off and come back on their own. We rented bikes at Can-Ski right downstairs. You can just jump on the trail right out side the lodge and it connects to everything. We biked and walked around Lost Lake. Walking took about an hour there and back. We had several wonderful lunches at Portobello, which is across the way attached to the Fairmont. The walk to the main village is 10 minutes. You cross through the woods and over the river. I liked walking back to the quiet Upper village after dinners in the cold crisp evening air. We were having a heat spell, so the lodge let us borrow fans - there isn't any A/C. But you don't really need it at night when you are sleeping. The unit faces the street, so if you can't sleep with occasional night traffic going by, that would be a concern. However, if you do all the activities during the day, you'll be so exhausted - you'll sleep like a rock! The W/D are down the hall, but the owner's provide the detergent. Bring Canadian dollar coins for the W/D. $2/load. We love whistler. I might try a different rental just for a different experience, but I would not have a problem staying here again.
