|Housekeeping||Includes clean on arrival; cleaned after departure; every 5th day if staying 8 days or more . Additional cleaning may be scheduled at the guest's request and expense|
|Liability||We are not responsible for any bodily harm to guests or guests of guests while they are on our property or at any location in Whistler Resort.|

My family has been staying in owner direct condos in Whistler for decades, and over the last dozen years through AlluraDirect. This was our first time staying in Glacier Lodge, and would not recommend the building or this particular unit. Problems began from the get go. We were unable to move in until 45 minutes after check in time because they were still cleaning the room. While we were given a bottle of wine to make up for it, it would have been nice had they thoroughly cleaned the room rather than the minimal cleaning that occurred (some counters weren't cleaned and previous guests clothes were left in drawers.). We waited, with many other guests, for nearly an hour for a bellman's cart to bring our stuff up to our room. The wifi provided by the lodge required you to log in with a complicated code each and every time you tried to use it, which is a pain when you do not have a Canadian cell phone and thus must use the wifi. The signal that the owners of this unit set up was unusable because the signal was too weak in most parts of the unit to even log in. Many of the California shutters in the unit were broken, as was the fireplace. We could not get two of the DVD players to work. The ensuite bathroom was nicely furnished but very small. The kitchen lacked basic amenities like paper towels. Parking was more expensive than is listed here as of January 11th, 2015 (was $15 CAD, not $12CAD/$7US we were told.) We shared many of these concerns with the owners before posting this review and they were apologetic but nonplussed. The unit was not all bad. Glacier Lodge has an excellent location, and the pool and hot tub are nice. The view of the courtyard was nice as well. Ski storage was convenient. We know we take a risk by renting owner direct vs. staying in a hotel, but it is typically worth having the extra space even if it comes with lower standards of cleanliness and service. The dusting was very poor. Dust on all shutters, dust on base of lamps. Streaks on front of cupboards, flat top stove and fridge. All else very good. But the desk made no effort to let my son in early as requested, and I communicated with Mr. Judge about it and he seemed to be okay about.
